The instrument was Competency in Information and Communication Technology Questionnaire validated by two Science Education Lecturers. The instruments’ reliability coefficient of 0.76 was determined by test-retest method using Pearson Product Moment Correlation formula. Mean and standard deviation were used for answering research questions while hypotheses were tested using t-test at .05 level of significance. Findings of the study revealed low level of competency of science education lecturers in information and communication technology with regards to use of presentation tools to support on-line instructions, test, assignments, e-mail, face book, internet and cybercafé, analysis of a course work, results computation, course evaluation, word processor for personal and instructional purpose, spreadsheet for personal and instructional purpose, collection and storage of data and decision making. The study was carried out to assess the undergraduate Business Education Students’ Perception on the use of Information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching and learning in the University. Thus, to achieve the purpose, two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. A sample of 100 students was randomly drawn using balloting and proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. A questionnaire of 4-point scale was used to collect data. It has face validity determined through expert judgement, and construct validity verified through factor analysis. The reliability of the instrument was obtained through Cronbach Alpha. A reliability coefficient of 0.82 was obtained as a measure of internal consistency. The data collected were analyzed with mean and Z-test. Mean was used to answer the research questions while Z-test was used to test the hypotheses at the 0.05 level of significance. The result showed that there was high perception of students to use ICT in teaching and learning in the university. There was no significant difference between male and female students as well as 300 level and 400 level students on the use of ICT in teaching and learning. Therefore, it was recommended that ICT should be used in teaching and learning Business Education in the University.

This study aimed at determining the difference of information and communication technologylearning result between group of students who had been taught usingteams games tournaments assisted by power point and group of students who had been taught using conventional model in grade VIII– academic year 2016/2017. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. The population of this study were all students of grade VIII odd semester of academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 83 people. The sample of this study is a group of students of grade VIII B amounting to 41 people as an experimental class and a group of students of grade VIII A which amounted to 42 people as a control class. The data of students’ learning result of information and communication technology were collected by using multiple choice test instrument. The collected data were analysed by using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (t-test). Based on the results of data analysis, obtained t(count) 1,991 and t(table) (at 5 % significance level) = 9,727. This means that t(count) > t(table), so that it can be interpreted that there is significant difference in the learning result of information and communication technology between groups that follow Teams Games Tournament training assisted by power point and groups that follow the learning with conventional model.Observed from the calculation of average learning outcomes ofexperimental group of information and communication technology is 32.63 greater than the average learning outcomes of control group of information technology and communication 28.37, so it can be concluded that the implementation of Teams Games Tournamentslearning models assisted by Power Pointto the learning result of students’ grade VIII.keyword : Teams Games Tournaments learning, information and communication technology learning result.

Banking organizations have historically stood out as essential services providers. As a means of coping with the demands the information-intensive nature of the banking system, modern banks increasingly employ Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for operations. In Nigeria the proposed cashless economy, has further intensified the quest for ICT among banks. This study therefore focuses on the challenges of ICT application in the Nigerian Banking System. Data were collected through a survey, conducted among employees and customers of randomly selected, new and old generation banks in south-eastern Nigeria. Analysis reveals that security and fraud issues associated with e-banking, ranked highest among challenges confronting ICT application in banks. No significant difference was found among study organizations with regards to views on ICT based challenges in the banking system. Since this state of affairs would greatly hinder the success of the proposed cashlite society, the study recommends among other things that banks and relevant stakeholders in the sector must work in synergy to prevent security breaches in ebanking operations.
