The implementation of innovative experiences within the educational context is part of a transformation process where new information and communication technologies (hereafter, ICT) promote the use of methodological tools that contribute to conventional classroom systems, through the creation of virtual training environments that establish the development of audiovisual language and facilitate communication. The objective of the following article is to reflect on the implementation of the inverted classroom as a learning tool for social change that breaks the traditional paradigms of education and represents an option for redesign the curriculum model. It is also part of the Education Research project and Literacy in Communication and Audiovisual and Interactive Arts applied in intercultural contexts for the conservation and diffusion of cultures and ancestral knowledge in conflict or isolation. The study presents a qualitative-quantitative and documentary methodology, and a case of study uses a bibliographic investigation that contrasts the information with the data obtained from the application of data collection instruments such as surveys, and observation; that will allow establishing the appropriate parameters, and discussing the results that show the importance of the use of the inverted classroom in the teaching-learning processes to strengthen resilient, autonomous and meaningful learning, recognizing students as the main protagonists of new knowledge.

The application of some technologies in the educational field, especially the computer, has been causing this process to undergo considerable changes. The new information and communication technologies (TICs) are beginning to be used in the construction of knowledge. Looking to discuss this issue, this paper proposes to establish a discussion about the use of computers in education; the positive and negative aspects of TICs; and on some technologies for teaching chemistry, pointed out as tools that favor learning in a pleasant and pleasant way. Through the knowledge resulting from this study, it is verified that improving the teaching-learning process, especially of chemical discipline, is not an inherent attribute of the various digital resources available for this, but a consequence that is tied to the way in which they are used. It is the function of the teacher to conciliate all these resources at his disposal to better prepare and teach his classes, always establishing a dialogic and dynamic relationship with the student.

Los cambios en la educación universitaria que propicia el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior implican nuevas adaptaciones en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje ya que el objetivo primordial pasa a ser"aprender a aprender. En este contexto, se necesitan nuevos medios que faciliten el desarrollo de tales cambios, que permitan realizar actividades adicionales a la enseñanza presencial. Así, las nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación constituyen herramientas que posibilitan tales transformaciones. En este sentido, tos Espacios Virtuales de Aprendizaje (EVA) posibilitan la creación de comunidades sociales donde se intercambian conocimientos. Este trabajo se centra en el EVA SICODINET que se ha diseñado en torno a las asignaturas del perfil de Contabilidad de Costes y de Gestión de la Universidad de León. Concretamente se profundiza en la experiencia del seminario en línea (Webinar) sobre hoja electrónica de cálculo celebrado durante tres años, sus características, la metodología seguida, los resultados obtenidos y las lecciones aprendidas con esta iniciativa.<br /><br />The European Higher Education Area has caused changes in higher education, what involves new adaptations in the teaching-learning process because now the main aim is "learn to learn". Specifically the Web-based seminar (Webinar) about spreadsheet is studied in depth: it has been held for three years and its characteristics, the followed methodology, its results and the lessons learnt from this initiative are explained.

One of the factors responsible for changes in society is information and communication technologies, the so-called ICTs, according to Silva and Maciel (2015). With the rise of new information and communication technologies, the traditional model of teaching in which the teacher has an active role (of speaker) and the student has a passive role (listener) can no longer meet the demands of the contemporary world and its technologies. Hybrid teaching solutions (such as blended learning) arise from the use of technology and innovations in the education sector. Thus, this chapter aims to understand how courses categorized as blended should be structured to maximize the potential of this teaching-learning method for teachers, students, and educational institutions. To achieve this goal, a framework was created consisting of the following steps: preparation of the teaching and learning plan, development of activities, development of materials, organization of the virtual environment, follow-up of the course / discipline and discipline rating and improvements identification.

In the face of the advance of new technologies that has been occurring and reaching all sectors of society, this article presents a discussion guided by scholars about the changes that are occurring in education. It is important to think of how you can use so many resources available today while providing power changes in the teaching-learning process which until then was seen as something static and conservative. The task of the teacher in the twenty-first century is no longer ready to take the knowledge to the student, but rather has the role of acting as a mediator and facilitator in the process of knowledge construction. Health tourism is booming all over the world, and thermal spa tourism in Spain is a type of tourism aimed at integrating with nature, achieving sustainable development. In general, its facilities are located in areas specially protected by environmental legislation. This tourism sector attracts an increasingly wide market segment that has become more demanding and better informed and that more frequently uses the Internet to gather information. Tourists’ shopping and consumption habits are increasingly influenced by new information and communication technologies (ICTs), making these a topic of interest among academics and professionals. Website development has been shown to be an area of innovation for spa facilities, but evidence has also been found that this sector has experienced difficulty in adopting ICTs. This research sought to analyse spa websites’ usability by conducting an exploratory investigation of different websites’ contents. The results reveal that the use of new web technologies by spas is underdeveloped, although these facilities have achieved good positions in Internet search engines due to the synergistic effect of the official tourism websites. That is why most of them tell their story, detail their nature and the protection of their spaces. In this way, spas turn their websites into communication channels that convey to tourists their commitment to the environment and sustainable development.

Purpose This paper aims to propose and evaluate a pedagogically sound and innovative strategy to teach a higher education course that prepares future professionals to intelligently use information and communication technologies (ICTs) in their personal and professional lives. Design/methodology/approach The conceptual framework used for the design of the course was the socio-constructivism and activity theories. The implementation of the course was evaluated using the intrinsic case study methodology by including several instruments. Findings The pedagogical strategy proposed proved to be sound, as the evaluation showed that students were able to describe, use and propose innovative uses of a wide range of cutting-edge technologies in their both everyday lives and professional settings; they also had the skills to analyse the opportunities and challenges that these presented. Moreover, students liked this innovative way of learning and ended with a positive attitude towards ICT. Originality/value Although several courses prepare students to be digital citizens or use ICT to enhance the teaching-learning process, millennials are ill prepared to use cutting-edge technologies in an innovative, responsible and critical way in their future professions. The course that was designed is original in that it goes beyond preparing digital citizens to prepare professionals in any domain to use ICT in an informed and responsible way. Moreover, it is a documented, successful example of an undergraduate universal course in a highly important current society dimension. The authors believe that its pedagogical proposal could be transferred to courses dealing with other global issues such as the environment, economy and peace.
