ABSTRACT Objective: to understand the introduction of the School Health Program in the city of Cascavel, Paraná State, as opposed to the report of nurses. Method: a qualitative study with fifteen participants. The data were collected from April to August 2015, through semi-structured interviews, analyzed by content analysis and thematic modality. Results: the category “Introduction process” of the School Health Program integrates the subcategories “Identified health problems” and the “Challenges of intersectoriality”. The program was implemented quickly, with a fragile training of professionals to perform in the phases that compose it. Structural conditions of schools, human and material resources, and emerging intersectoral interaction were identified obstacles. The integration of the health, school, and family constitutes the program’s potentiality. Final considerations: it is understood that the actions of the program were based on health assessments of students, and it is necessary for professionals and managers to discuss and analyze the obstacles identified to achieve all the proposed objectives.

Abstract Health at school is the subject of relevant discussions on health promotion. This study aims to understand the reach of the actions resulting from the School Health Program in municipal public schools in Belem-PA, from the perspective of teachers. It is a descriptive-observational study, with analysis of interviews with 22 teachers of municipal public basic education. Field research took place from April to June 2018. A content analysis was carried out, proposed by Bardin, generating four thematic units. Of those interviewed, 50% were unaware of the referred program or the operation of it. It was possible to perceive different modes of interaction between the program's actuators, from the most punctual and inefficient to the most contextualized and integrative. The study of social health determinants is necessary to better understand the processes and needs of these actions in the municipal school environment, with emphasis on issues of basic sanitation, food insecurity, violence and drugs. There is a need for self-recognition of the teacher as a health educator, in order to make them intrinsic health promoters in their pedagogical practices. The school's articulation with the school community can serve as an input for greater integration and stimulation of social control practices.

Abstract: This paper focus, from a multidisciplinary approach, on the strategies and interventions that physical education offers in the establishment of healthy habits in the educative context, specifically in primary education.

Education and health are mutually dependent. If the child is not healthy, then he or she cannot be educated due to increased absenteeism. If the child is a failure in school, lack of self-esteem affects health and the relationship to the family and community. School health programs exist to support the education process. Most schools require that these programs be directed by a physician. Because of his or her training and interest in school children, the pediatrician thus takes on the responsibility of planning a school health program or acting as a liaison between the school, the child, and the family.1 SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM Administration and Planning
