The authors’ thoughts of the above mentioned book are discussed in this article through methodical and psychological point of view. We are talking about one section of the first graders’ “Native Language”, which is published instead of the “Mother Language(Dedaena). This is a prealphabetical period – illustrated with the pictures of plasticine figures. We think that this approach satisfies neither the requirements of national curriculum nor the function of the book – being the reliable tool in the process of learning and teaching. We are discussing the method of Iakob Gogebashvili and its versatility. Confirming the relative analysis, we conclude: the “Native Language” written by these authors does not meet its function (First part researched by us).

Students and their behaviour at school has been the subject matter of many scientific texts. This article aims to present Croatian and international literature of the past 30 years on the subject of school discipline. School and classroom discipline, or lack thereof, is a problem that troubles many schools around the world. The article discusses the epistemological roots of the term discipline. Looking at discipline from a pedagogical point of view, it is not considered to mean unquestioned obedience, but a requirement for achieving a high quality learning and teaching process. As such, discipline does not represent the objective of the teaching process, but rather a means of ensuring optimal and encouraging circumstances, as well as harmonious cooperation between students and teachers. Working in such conditions is characterized by a high degree of commitment and motivation of all participants of the teaching process. The article presents possible causes of indiscipline, the importance of a teacher’s personality in achieving the desired discipline and possible strategies for classroom management. The authors present several suggestions that could help teachers practitioners in establishing and maintaining discipline.

Cultural hegemony permeates society and is spread through social institutions. These institutions socialize people into the norms, values and beliefs of the dominant social groups. Moreover, cultural hegemony is spread and perpetuated through education in the form of compulsory education, a national curriculum, national assessments, as well as the hidden curriculum. The cultural hegemony of Western Art Music is established as the standard of music making and is institutionalized in education systems, national curricula and national assessment practices because it is inherent in ideologies and decision making. To counter the dominant hegemony, multicultural education philosophies have been adopted in democracies. The purpose of multicultural education is to change the dominant hegemony and bring about transformation in policy, attitudes, curriculum, assessment, the language of instruction, and strategies for learning and teaching. In this article, I discuss and compare music curricula from South Africa and Australia to determine how multiculturalism is manifested in the curriculum content for music in schools. I also suggest possible frameworks for curriculum developers in democracies to consider, which would subvert the status quo and establish a counter-hegemony.

The concept of evil has been researched since the Medieval era, leading to the conclusion that human beings have the freedom to choose good from bad, or evil from good. The origin of evil based on the religious teachings is Satan, who is described as the Rebel Angel, as explained by Dante in The Divine Comedy (Alighieri, 1957). Satan tempts human beings into sinning, as revenge against God for placing him in Hell. Based on the psychological point of view developed by Sigmund Freud, the source of evil is id which is distinctive (Freud, 1966). Villain motivations are driven by the tendency of the ego to make realistic decisions about meeting the unrealistic and unreasonable desires by the id. The other aspect that motivates villain actions include jealousy, anger and revenge, as indicated in the play. Shakespeare presents the villain character perfectly in his play Othello (1604) through Iago, whose main focus in life is to destroy others “So will I turn her virtue into pitch And out of her own goodness make the net That shall enmesh them all” (Shakespeare, 1993, p. 99). Through his manipulative skills, he makes the other characters trust him “Iago most honest” (Shakespeare, 1993, p. 75) and then fuel conflicts among them. Iago is motivated by anger, revenge and jealousy to commit the evil acts.

Teaching vocabulary is a big challenge for teachers, and also a huge difficulty for students is to remember the vocabulary items. The main purpose of this study is to create an enjoyable learning and teaching environment to help students revise certain vocabulary items and make students have fun by being creative. In that, memes are trendy phenomena which are both entertaining and creative way of expressing one’s feelings on one topic. In this study, memes were used for vocabulary revision. To see its effect on vocabulary recall, a quiz was conducted before and after the experiment. To determine its effect on students’ opinions, a feedback form was also applied after the experiment. The results show that the use of memes affected the vocabulary recall of the Medicine students positively. Therefore, they could be used as one of the strategies to create an innovative learning and teaching process.

Language is tool that use by human for communicate, and as tool to support them as social creature. Language is used by human every day in every situation, that make language become interesting phenomenon. During learning and teaching process that happen in class researcher find out the phenomenon that student use word “sorry” in context of asking permission not context for asking apology or expressing sympathy based on . Methodology of this research is qualitative with descriptive design. The instrument that use is observation, researcher is do observation in classroom activity on the class , and data is find from utterance that make by student during classroom activity. The result of this research most of student use word “sorry” in context of asking permission not for asking apologize. To understand the bigger concept of word sorry better to use bigger subject in research.
