The COVID-19 pandemic has led a number of countries to introduce restrictive “isolation” policies to control the spread of infection. ,,Vaccination passports” have been proposed as a solution to mitigate the damage of such decisions and could be used in tandem with other policies and measures to control the spread of infection. This document would allow you to return to some normal activities, such as free travel and return to work. The introduction of ,,vaccination passports” raises a number of practical, ethical and security challenges. In this article, we try to analyze the challenges and risks of fraud in this type of document and their use in the context of illegal migration.

Multifaceted 21st-century security challenges, such as terrorism, pandemics, illegal migration, and drug trafficking, permanently question the adequacy of both state and global organizations to guarantee general wellbeing, the rule of law, and the protection of human rights. In this sense, the United Nations (UN) has received the brunt of the criticism despite its growing responsibilities, the complexity of the threats, and its decision-making structure’s limitations. This paper examines the UN’s effectiveness in addressing Colombia’s major security challenges, suggesting that providing adequate assistance to build state capacity is key to reducing power vacuums that foster both deviant globalization and embryonic security challenges.

t Slovenia is again facing security challenges due to illegal migration in 2019 and 2020. The police are usually the first that come into contact with illegal migrants, so they are doing vital work to ensure internal stability and security in the country. This paper analysed statistical data on illegal border crossings in the Police Directorate Murska Sobota area in 2010–2020. We mapped them on the Pomurje region map and identified hotspots that are interesting for migrants, mainly due to the ease of crossing the green border. In addition to enhanced state border control and protection, police chiefs must solve staff shortages and carry out all (lengthy) procedures related to foreigners' treatment. To successfully respond to the raised issue, we also propose the increased use of modern night-vision devices. Local police should not forget about rural communities' residents and their problems due to illegal migration.

Eta2 = 0.08).
