Price to Book Value (PBV) or the price per book value ratio is the relationship between the stock market price and book value per share. This ratio indicates the company's ability to create value relative to the amount of capital invested. The higher PBV companies create value for shareholders. This ratio is also used as an indicator in determining the value of shares as consideration for investors in determining investment decisions. This study aimed to examine the effect of the variable Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) to the Price to Book Value. The population in this study is LQ45 categories listed companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2010-2013 period as many as 78 companies with sampling using purposive sampling and samples that meet the criteria are as many as 13 companies. The data in this study using panel data regression analysis (fixed effect) is applied with software Eviews 7.1. and hypothesis testing using t-statistic to test the partial coefficient of regression and f-statistic to examine the effect simultaneously with a significance level of 5%.The results showed that the variables PBV DER significantly influence the value of 0.01. ROA variables significantly influence the PBV with a significance value of 0.00. ROE significantly influence the PBV with a significance value of 0.04. But the House did not influence significantly the variables with a significance value of 0.95. Predictive ability of the four variables to the PBV is at 99% as indicated by the R-Squared of 99% while the remaining 1% is influenced by other factors not included in the model study. Keywords: Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), and Price to Book Value (PBV).

The sample used in this study as many as 11 companies for 5 years consecutive issued dividend. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing using t-statistic to test the partial regression coefficient and f-statistic to test the feasibility of the research model with 5% level of significance. It also conducted a classic assumption test including normality test, multicolinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. Results of the analysis showed that the variable cash ratio, return on asstes, and earning per share, positive and significant impact on the dividend payout ratio, while the variable debt to equity ratio, inflation and interest rate negative and not significant to the dividend payout ratio. The aim of this study is to ascertain the determinants of the stock market price in Nepalese commercial banks for the period of 2065/66 to 2074/75. It is based on pooled cross-sectional data of ten banks for 10 years whose stocks are listed in Nepal stock exchange. The study employed correlational and causal comparative research design and result reveals that book value per share, price earnings ratio, return on equity have positive relationship with stock price. Dividend yield has positive but minimum influence on the price of the stock whereas size has negative relationship and is statistically insignificant with stock price. Further, it reveals that book value per share is a most influential factor that determines stock price in Nepal.

This study offers empirical findings on the impact of institutional variables on firm’s stock market price performance. In order to identify the influence of companies financial on NIFTY 50 Index, our sample consists of balanced panel of 30 actively traded companies (that becomes the study’s index representative) over a massive transition period, 1995–2014. Attempts have been made with a wide range of econometric models and estimators, from the relatively straightforward to (static) more complex (dynamic panel analyses) to deal with the relevant econometric issues. Results indicate that increasing debt in capital structure does not establish any significant relation with the stock prices. Earnings per share (EPS) shows a poor explanation of price variation. Economic value added (EVA) indicates a positive relation with current as well as previous year’s stock price performances. However, dividend payout (DIVP) and dividend per share (DPS) achieve negative relationship at moderately significant level. The present study confirms that performance of companies fundamental ratios will be essential and immensely helpful to investors and analysts in assessing the better stocks that belong to different industry groups.
