This paper mainly uses the methods of questionnaire and qualitative analysis. A questionnaire survey was conducted among the last and current English majors. Mainly to understand their translation practice in school, including their attitude towards translation practice, the teaching mode of translation course, the time spent in translation practice after class and the main fields involved, and whether the school has provided translation practice platform and its practicability. The survey of 240 English majors reflects the present situation of English Majors in translation practice: 1) Strong willingness to translate; 2) Lack of practice in class; 3) Lack of extracurricular practice; 4) Lack of translation practice platform. To solve the problems in the translation practice of English majors analyzed by the survey results, this paper puts forward some countermeasures: including establishing a translation practice platform within the University, encouraging translation volunteer activities and building a cooperative translation mechanism between the University and the enterprise.

This article conducted a questionnaire survey on HVAC graduate students in the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, analyzed the problems existing in the cultivation of innovative ability of them and combined with the actual situation of HVAC major postgraduates, it was proposed that the cultivation mode of hierarchically classifying and teaching students according to their aptitudes for students with different professional abilities and development directions. It is proposed some reform measures such as the reform of the graduate course system and teaching mode, strengthen the cultivation of post-graduates ability to discover and solve problems, implement joint schools-enterprises training and strengthen experimental teaching, which promote the cultivation of HVAC graduate students' innovative ability.

The University of Florida / IFAS South Florida Beef Forage Program (SFBFP) is composed of county Extension faculty and state specialists.  The members, in conjunction with the UF/IFAS Program Evaluation and Organizational Development unit, created a survey in 1982, which is used to evaluate ranch management practices.  The survey is updated and distributed every 5 years to ranchers in 14 South Florida counties: Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Okeechobee, Polk, and Sarasota.  The responses are anonymous.

Abstract Background Patient awareness surveys on polypharmacy have been reported previously, but no previous study has examined the effects of sending feedback to health professionals on reducing medication use. Our study aimed to conduct a patient survey to examine factors contributing to polypharmacy, feedback the results to health professionals, and analyze the resulting changes in the number of polypharmacy patients and prescribed medications. Methods After conducting a questionnaire survey of patients in Study 1, we provided its results to the healthcare professionals, and then surveyed the number of polypharmacy patients and oral medications using a before-after comparative study design in Study 2. In Study 1, we examined polypharmacy and its contributing factors by performing logistic regression analysis. In Study 2, we performed a t-test and a chi-square test. Results In the questionnaire survey, significant differences were found in the following 3 items: age (odds ratio (OR) = 3.14; 95% confidence interval (CI) = 2.01–4.91), number of medical institutions (OR = 2.34; 95%CI = 1.50–3.64), and patients’ difficulty with asking their doctors to deprescribe their medications (OR = 2.21; 95%CI = 1.25–3.90). After the feedback, the number of polypharmacy patients decreased from 175 to 159 individuals and the mean number of prescribed medications per patient decreased from 8.2 to 7.7 (p < 0.001, respectively). Conclusions Providing feedback to health professionals on polypharmacy survey results may lead to a decrease in the number of polypharmacy patients. Factors contributing to polypharmacy included age (75 years or older), the number of medical institutions (2 or more institutions), and patients’ difficulty with asking their physicians to deprescribe their medications. Feedback to health professionals reduced the percentage of polypharmacy patients and the number of prescribed medications. Trial registration UMIN. Proficiency in English language depends on the knowledge of its vocabulary possessed by the second and foreign language learners and even the native speakers. Though developing the vocabulary is vital, it poses several problems, especially, to non-native students of English. Students with a low vocabulary knowledge show weak academic performance in different courses related to the language skills, linguistics, literature, and translation at the university level of education. This study, in particular, aims to investigate the problems faced by English majors in learning the vocabulary at Prince Stattam bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU) in Saudi Arabia. It also puts forward some vocabulary-learning strategies to minimize the potential problems. The data consist of the responses of 100 student-participants (undergraduates) randomly picked up from five different levels (four, five, six, seven, and eight) of 4-Year BA English Program at PSAU. This quantitative study uses an online questionnaire, as an instrument, to collect the data. The results reveal that the English majors at PSAU face several problems in learning the vocabulary such as knowing the meanings of new words, pronouncing new words, using new words correctly, memorizing and spelling new vocabulary and so on. To its contribution, this study emphasizes the importance of learning the English vocabulary, draws students’ attention towards it, highlights the problems encountered by students, and raises their awareness of the vocabulary. Future research may explore teachers’ perspectives on students’ vocabulary-learning problems and instructional methods implemented to teach the vocabulary in English language classrooms.

A dental questionnaire survey conducted on 34 high school students, 55 university students, 23 Middle-age who participated in the university festival. Participants answered yes or no to ten self-administered questions. Also, participants described the hardness of meals, brushing teeth after meals, and time to spend eating in a questionnaire. As a result, some students even had some guminflammation. Middle –Ages had many people who had experience with swollen gums (52.2%). Of the participants, the Middle Ages were few who applied fluorine (17.4%), and many were students (high school students 64.7%, university students 90.9%). Most people brush their teeth after breakfast or dinner. Participants replied that they usually eat a little hard (52.0%) or soft (38.1%) food. One high school student replied that he usually eats soft food. The time to eat was longer than breakfast and then dinner, but it was less than 30 minutes ever for dinner. Middle-Ages ad an average time to spend eating of fewer than 10 minutes for breakfast, 14 minutes for lunch, and 22 minutes for dinner. Middle ages had shorter meal times in all than students. Form the results of the participants; we wondered if they did not chew food very well because they eat soft food in a short time.

The present study aimed to investigate the effect of micro-lecture teaching on non-English majors&rsquo; academic achievements and learning motivation. One hundred and twenty-two non-English majors studying the college English course in North China Electric Power University participated in the study. The micro-lecture teaching and traditional PPT teaching were implemented in the two classes respectively. Statistical analysis showed a significant improvement in the academic achievements of the participants (t = 3.128, p &lt; 0.05) between the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement. The results of the questionnaire survey undertaken in the experimental class showed that participants&rsquo; learning motivations were improved. Accordingly, the researcher concluded that micro-lecture teaching was significantly effective in improving non-English majors&rsquo; academic achievements and enhancing their learning motivation.
