Teaching mathematics by project-based learning (PBL) method on the use of educational technology offers an innovative teaching pedagogy at college. The “World Culture Art Created with Calculus Graphs of Equations” poster project was designed by the first author and was completed in the pilot Calculus course during the spring 2016 semester at Borough of Manhattan Community College in the City University of New York. This project was to guide students to use graphs of equations in the creation of recognizable national symbols from different countries with different cultures by the Maple technology. Students’ graphing knowledge as well as their technical Maple skills were applied in the completion of this project. Students’ creativity, freedom, and diversity in their mathematical thinking have been fostered. Students have learned that combining mathematics knowledge with technological skills can create innovation in art. The project increased students’ awareness and appreciation of multi-cultures for a diversified student body in New York. Successful project outcomes in students’ work shed light on effectiveness of this project-based learning (PBL) approach in mathematics education.

The present questionnaire-based study examines the outcomes of project-based learning procedures in Greek University postgraduate classes, where the project entitled “Traffic Signs” takes place. Master in Education students at Harokopio University provided relevant information by answering a set of close-ended questions specifically designed for the research. Data elaboration and statistical analysis were performed. The results of the study showed that, according to MEd students, the teachers’ role during the carrying-out of the project remains crucial, since s/he establishes the rules of communication, defines the objectives, simplifies the learning material and intervenes in a supportive way to strengthen students’ cognitive background and self-confidence, to overcome setbacks and facilitate constructive cooperation. The research also showed that as long as projects’ implementation during postgraduate studies are well-designed, attractive and demanding regarding high-ranked cognitive and socio-affective abilities, they meet satisfactorily students’ academic needs and expectations and refresh, deepen and expand the positive outcomes of the learning procedure even in scientific domains where very often University teachers tend to avoid the use of more innovative teaching methods.

About ten years ago, the Mathematics Program in the elementary schools of New York City was modified so as to place an increasing emphasis on the a bility of young children to do mathematical thinking. It was assumed that children can learn to think in the abstract terms of mathematics only if they learn meaningful concepts of arithmetic, or mathematics. The mathematics to be learned must not be too difficult for pupil understanding and must not be too easy to preclude a challenge to thinking.

Changes in time that cannot be undone require changes in society and the system. The change in curriculum is also carried out because of an increasingly competitive future. Students of genertion Z who are born spoiled will be increasingly difficult to live, difficult, resolved, find alternatives, and compete in the global world if not prepared from the bench of education. This paper explains how students are prepared not only able to think alone, but are able to develop critical thinking skills through language improvement so that they are ready to face the world of work. Project-based learning stages with a focus on 21st century competency training. Through Indonesian language learning students can become students who have learning and innovation skills, career, and digital literacy. In addition, 21st century learning trains communicative, collaborative abilities, and the use of cellular technology. Students are also taught to be able to apply the knowledge gained, be able to do what can be used in their lives, and be able to find solutions not only for academic needs but also useful in their lives. Through language learning students are prepared to become individuals who not only have knowledge, but also skills that can be utilized in future life and careers. Besides being a person who has the traits that can be used to survive in the industrial era 4.0.

Listening is one of the most important language skills to be learned by students. However, it is very difficult for teachers to teach these skills in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Teachers need innovative teaching techniques, one of which is using video media. This study aims to investigate the impact of using project-based learning videos on students' listening comprehension skills. The population in this study involved 4th grade elementary school students. The sample in this study used 40 grade 4 students from one intact class that were selected with a specific purpose. This research includes quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection instrument in this study used a listening comprehension test and a listening comprehension assessment rubric. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. From the results of the study, it was found that the mean value of the group at the posttest was 86.85 which was greater than the mean value at the pretest, which was 75.75. The standard deviation on the pretest also shows a value of 5,678 and the standard deviation on the posttest is 3,180. From the results of statistical inferential analysis shows that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is .000. and lower than Sig. levels (.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant impact on the use of project-based learning videos on students' listening comprehension during the covid-19 pandemic.

The research “teaching and learning process by integrating information and communication technology for Islamic private schools in the three southernmost provinces of Thailand in the 21st Century" aimed to determine the integration of information technology for the design and development of innovative forms of teaching in line with the current situation of Islamic private schools in the three southern border provinces. The research scope focused on the development process for teachers to develop innovative forms of teaching to enable learners with lifelong learning skills. Teachers also were able to apply ICT in designing and developing innovative models for teaching to meet the 21st century skills. The participation and action research methods were used by allowing teachers to play a researcher’s role in conducting joint research with the team.  Project-based learning instruction method with ICT integrated was used. The results of this research is the innovative model of teaching that integrated information technology to provide students with the 21st century skills which is the 4P-2E model.  The impacts of this research to learners are: (1) Learners are creative, they enjoy the project-based learning and the integration of ICT in learning. Abstract Research consistently shows that children who have opportunities to actively investigate natural settings and engage in problem-based learning greatly benefit from the experiences? This project developed a model of curriculum and community enterprise to address that issue within the nation's largest urban school system. Middle school students will study New York Harbor and the extensive watershed that empties into it, as they conducted field research in support of restoring native oyster habitats. The project builds on the existing Billion Oyster Project, and was implemented by a broad partnership of institutions and community resources, including Pace University, the New York City Department of Education, the Columbia University Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, the New York Academy of Sciences, the New York Harbor Foundation, the New York Aquarium, and others. The project model includes five interrelated components: A teacher education curriculum, a digital platform for project resources, museum exhibits, and an afterschool STEM mentoring program. It targets middle-school students in low-income neighborhoods with high populations of English language learners and students from groups underrepresented in STEM fields and education pathways. This paper explores the management of this large-scale project and provides insight with regard to the governance of the various project components.   Key words (project-based learning, environmental restoration, educational technology)

Architecture and design are fed from sources belonging to two different cultures. One can be conditionally called "artistic", the other is just as conditionally "engineering". The Roman-speaking, Latin world sees architecture and design as a phenomenon of artistic culture. Anglo-Saxon, Protestant world is inclined to attribute architecture and design to the field of engineering, practical and rational. Fundamental, essential differences do not arise between architecture and design, but between the cultures in which they are formed. In the Anglo- Saxon world there are a number of different designs, i.e. project practices, among which as an equal among equals architectural design. To the Latin world, our environment appears holistic and undivided, and its creator is an architect, a universal professional, capable of creating everything from the city to the door handle. A direct consequence of the implementation of these models is the difference in the appearance of Paris and New York. These models do not exist in isolation, they actively compete and influence each other. Traces of this competition are clearly discernible both in the nature of today's Moscow and in the professional consciousness of russian architects.

The journalism being taught at universities in Spain is undergoing intensive changes as a result of the dual pressure exerted by the impact of digitisation in two specific aspects. The first is the journalistic system itself (business models, professional routines, information consumption, etc.). The second aspect involves the teaching guidelines established as a result of the implementation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Focusing on the latter issue, the current debate regarding the orientation of journalistic education is calling for this aspect not to be relegated or limited to training in technical skills, which are constantly being renewed by technological developments of the digital environment. On the contrary, journalism education must also take into account other skills that foster the achievement of critical thinking, which is fundamental for the exercise of the journalistic profession. However, in the face of an increasingly digitised, competitive labour market, journalism studies and their training programmes also have a duty to provide the skills and competencies demanded by this market. In this paper, we have conducted a systematic review of some of the experiences of innovative teaching that have been successfully carried out in Journalism degrees taught in Spain for this purpose (service-learning, project-based learning, content curation, and edublogs, among others). These experiences reflect the involvement of university professors in providing comprehensive education for future journalists, with a strong emphasis on the intensive use of the digital resources currently available.

One of the problems that concerns engineering courses in Brazil is the students low level of motivation in regarding the type of teaching and, as a consequence, low academic performance. This article encourages the introduction of active methods in Engineering teaching, emphasizing the methodologies of Project Based Learning. The approach used was proposing a project for students to analyze important aspects in the production of cylindrical cans. The students applied calculus concepts and developed a model for the optimal dimensions of the cylinder and the utilization of the plates used. Characteristics of two materials used in the manufacture of these cans (tinplate and aluminum) were also gotten. Such aspects are relevant for both environmental sustainability and production costs. Concepts of application of derivatives and Fermat's theorem were used, learned in the discipline of Differential and Integral Calculus, in order to obtain the maximum and minimum values of an established function which relates the dimensions of the can and the amount of material needed. The dimensions obtained theoretically proved to be close to the real values found in cans available on the market. After analyzing the resistance to corrosion, the cost, the decomposition time and the mechanical resistance, it was concluded that the most appropriate material for the production of cans was the tinplate. In this context, teaching with Project Based Learning methodologies may contribute to innovative teaching practices in the training of engineering professionals, overcoming the limitations of traditional teaching methods.
