Aim. To substantiate the agroecological estimation of the performance of a short crop rotation in conditions of intense and organic system of fertilization on the basis of restoring normative parameters of emission and se- questration of С-СО 2 circulation while using by-products as organic fertilizers in conditions of modern climatic system of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. Field, statistical, laboratory. Results of Investigations. The performance of short crop rotations is determined by the capacity of С-СО 2 balance. Strong inverse correla- tion was found between the capacity of N and the ratio between C and N in the agrocenosis, which demon- strated that enhancing the humifi cation processes (ratio constriction) led to the increase in the capacity of С org balance and the decrease in the capacity level of С-СО 2 balance (enhancing mineralization), related to the reduction in the performance of crops in the agrocenosis of a crop rotation compared to the organic system of fertilization. The capacity of С-СО 2 and С org balance correlates at the medium level of inverse direction, and the yield of the main products, feed units and digestible protein correlates at the level of strong direct correlation. Conclusions. General mineralization of by-products and humus in the agrocenosis and humifi cation processes are antagonists, so extending the ratio between С and N at the intense fertilization system stimulates the in- crease in performance and reducing С to N similar to the organic fertilization system enhances the humifi cation process due to binding of С org into humus and limits mineralization which leads to the reduction in agrocenosis performance at the organic fertilization system.

Results of studying effect of mineral fertilizers in combination with inoculation with nitrogen-fixingbacteria on chickpea productivity in podzolic black soil of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine havebeen shown. Pre-sowing bacterization contributed to the active formation and functioning of thesymbiosis, provided that the background of nitrogen fertilizers did not exceed 60 kg/ha. Under theinfluence of mineral fertilizers both separately and in combination with seed inoculation, chickpea yieldincreased by 10.8–15.2 hwt/ha compared to the variant without fertilizers and without inoculation. It was established that in order to obtain high and stable yields of chickpea seed in podzolic blacksoil of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine with low content of nitrogen of alkalihydrolyzing compoundsand high content of mobile phosphorus and potassium, its fertilization system should include applicationof phosphate and potash fertilizers in the dose of 60 kg/ha during primary tillage, and nitrogen fertilizers– for presowing cultivation. Before sowing, seeds should be processed with the suspension of ammoniummolybdate and Ryzobofit.

The influence of basic tillage and fertilizer on weediness of sunflower crops The article presents the influence of the basic tillage and fertilization system on weediness of sunflower crops in the stationary crop rotation during 2016–18 in the conditions of the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The largest number of species of weeds and contaminants in crops was found on the background without fertilizers (plowing) and on the organic-mineral intensive background (manure aftereffect, 30 t / ha + N30P30K30, chiseling). The type and level of weed infestation of sunflower crops significantly depended on the studied factors. Keywords: sunflower, crop rotation, tillage, fertilizers, weeds, herbicides.

Abstract In this study, the biosynthesis of the plastid pigments chlorophyll a and b was examined for the most common shrubs in hornbeam-oak forest stands of the Western forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. The characteristics of the pigments’ biosynthesis were determined in terms of plant species, vegetation period and growth conditions (under canopy cover and out in the open). The gathered data on the changes of the pigment complex with respect to the examined variables confirms the sensitivity of plastid pigment biosynthesis to environmental factors.

The study deals with organic, mineral and organo-mineral systems of winter wheat fertilization in the conditions of the Volga forest-steppe. According to the organic fertilization system, straw of the predecessor, green manure and Biocomposite-correct were introduced into the soil (typical medium-thick medium loamy chernozem) for green manure mass (vetch-oat mixture). The organo-mineral system included two options: straw applied together with nitrogen in a dose of 10 kg per 1 ton of straw and zeolite enriched with amino acids. The mineral fertilizers were nitrogene phosphorus with the NPK content of 16 kg ai/ha, carbamide and potassium chloride. In addition, highly siliceous rock zeolite was applied as a fertilizer. It was found that the use of organic and organomineral fertilizers improves the nutrient regime of the soil; in terms of the content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the arable layer, these options were not inferior to the option with the use of mineral fertilizers. When introducing zeolite enriched with amino acids, the yield of winter wheat exceeded the option with the use of mineral fertilizers by 0.59 t/ha. The use of organic and organo-mineral fertilizers contributes to the production of environmentally friendly products

Aim. To compare nitrogen-carbon circulation in organic and intense fertilization system in agrocenosis of a short crop rotation with grain and intertilled crops on podzolic highly-regraded low-humus chernozem in the Central Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. Summarization of the study results in the permanent fi eld experiment, statistical method, dispersion method, correlation analysis of performance parameters, structures of phytomass, quality and quantity items of carbon and nitrogen balance. Results. In the organic system of fertilization, the removal of N increased to 0.25 units per capacity unit of nitrogen balance, which is 1.47 times higher, and the total loss of N increased 1.1 times (0.31 units per capacity unit of nitrogen balance) regarding the intense system of fertilization, but with lower values of balance items for nitrogen in the agrocenosis. Direct and strong correlation relationships were revealed between the yield of fodder units and the content of organic carbon in the structural components of the total phytomass: with organic carbon in the main products and root mass – R = 0.86–0.88 ± 0.02; R^2 = 0.74–0.77, and with the content of organic carbon in by-products and non- commodity total phytomass the relation to the yield of fodder units was on the level of direct mean correlation: R = 0.58–0.65 ± 0.02; R^2 = 0.34–0.43. The increase in the yield of fodder units is accompanied with the 1.32- fold decrease in the nitrogen balance capacity regarding the intense system of fertilization. Conclusions. It was established that in case of organic system of fertilization the ratio of organic carbon and N in the agrocenosis of a short crop rotation is the most optimal and approximates 30:1, which is the most profi table for humifi cation of by-products and decrease in the intensity of humus mineralization. Balance capacity is a restrictive factor in the circulation of organic carbon and N at the organic fertilization system, as it may considerably concede the balance capacity of organic carbon and N at the intense fertilization system, which had a negative impact on the performance of crop rotation.

Objective – to study the current distribution of Sedum pallidum in Ukraine, to analyze its state in the alien flora of Ukraine. Material and methods. The studies were conducted in 2008–2019 in the plain part of Ukraine and in the Mountain Crimea. Literature information, several national herbarium collections and other sources were analyzed. Special attention was paid to the delimitation of synantropic locations of S. pallidum from cultural ones. Results. S. pallidum is a sub-euxine species, which range occupies the Mountain Crimea. It is widely cultivated throughout Ukraine and is prone to naturalization, thanks to its vegetative and generative reproduction. In general, about 30 synantropic locations of S. pallidum have been recorded, mainly in the Middle Prydniprovia and Western Ukraine. Urban lawns and roadsides on light substrates are favorable ecological niches for S. pallidum. Соnclusions. S. pallidum is the alien species in the flora of the plain part of Ukraine and ergasiophyte in its origin. A potential secondary synanthropic range of this species occupies the whole country except the Carpathian highlands. It has been established that S. pallidum in the culture of the Forest-Steppe is a perennial herb. Two races identified in its composition (var. pallidum and var. bithynicum) are probably ecads, and have no systematic importance. In the culture, S. pallidum is characterized by successful vegetative and generative reproduction, which contributes to its naturalization. S. pallidum is often confused with other species of the genus, what does not contribute to its study in adventive floras. A key for S. pallidum determination has been proposed.

In the history of religious organizations of Western Ukraine in the 20-30th years of the XX century. The activity of such an early protestant denominational formation as the Ukrainian Evangelical-Reformed Church occupies a prominent position. Among UCRC researchers there are several approaches to the preconditions for the birth of the Ukrainian Calvinistic movement in Western Ukraine. In particular, O. Dombrovsky, studying the historical preconditions for the formation of the UREC in Western Ukraine, expressed the view that the formation of the Calvinist cell should be considered in the broad context of the Ukrainian national revival of the 19th and 20th centuries, a new assessment of the religious factor in public life proposed by the Ukrainian radical activists ( M. Drahomanov, I. Franko, M. Pavlik), and significant socio-political, national-cultural and spiritual shifts caused by the events of the First World War. Other researchers of Ukrainian Calvinism, who based their analysis on the confessional-polemical approach (I.Vlasovsky, M.Stepanovich), interpreted Protestantism in Ukraine as a product of Western cultural and religious influences, alien to Ukrainian spirituality and culture.
