The effectiveness of manufacturing equipment use taking into account its productivity and reliability for faulty parts of transmission units in municipal buses is estimated. The on-line mode is the most effective method of control allowing the tracking of the processes of technical state changes in municipal buses. As a result of monitoring there were obtained selected data on PAZ-3205 municipal bus operated under winter conditions in the city of Ohrenburg. During the trip there was recorded 39.1 l/100km petrol consumption. The residual life of the PAZ-3205 municipal bus was 1800km.

The main challenge of long-time creep monitoring on site is a reliable sensor. In this paper, a sensing device is developed specifically for high temperature creep monitoring. And it is applied to on-line monitor the strain of material on T-joint of main steam piping. Its reliability is verified theoretically using the finite element method and experimentally by high temperature on site test. The creep damage of the T joint is evaluated basing on the creep rate sensed by the sensing device. And the residual life is predicted for the piping system using the Monkman-Grant equation. This system is useful for safety assessment procedures in thermal power plant, nuclear power plant and petrochemical industries.

Creep strength and life of material is closely related with the microstructural characteristics. Components used under creep condition for long time are unable to maintain the stability of microstructure and experience degradation of material. From this viewpoint, it is necessary for safety and residual life of power plant to investigate creep properties of specimens prepared from the material cut directly from the operating service components. The small punch test has been developed as a useful method to estimate mechanical properties because of its miniaturized specimen size. In this study, small punch creep tests were carried out to investigate the effect of aging time on creep properties using P92 steel aged from 0~12100 hrs at 600°C.

Cable condition-based maintenance is a high pertinence maintenance mode, with a good time effectiveness and economic comparing with planned maintenance. Three steps are needed in the procedure of practicing condition-based maintenance on coal mine, which are choosing state parameters, on-line monitoring, and state diagnosis. Having an advantage and disadvantage analysis on common on-line monitoring methods, the methods are corresponding to different state parameters. Combining with the actual condition of mine, present that the additional low frequent current method is easy to perform, meanwhile, the method is both fit for MVV, MYJV cable and MYP cable. Separately introduce two kinds of on-line diagnosis methods, one is based on the decision tree, and the other is base on fuzzy grey theory. The former adopt minimum entropy to choose testing feature, furthermore generate sub trees, the latter choose weight coefficient which according to the professors experiences to form cable diagnosis model. State diagnosis is the core in cable state maintenance, so how to establish an intact, scientific diagnosis model is the key.
