The present research documented the live of homeless people in the city of Presidente Prudente through a photobook with profile texts. Therefore, it was necessary to understand the life context of these individuals through qualitative and exploratory research. Study of case was used as method, with the support of techniques such as bibliographic research, intensive observation and interviews. The study allowed new reflections and discussions about the situation of homeless people in the city and about the journalist's role nowadays. The photobook produced contains 49 photographs of 12 selected characters.

AbstractIn the attempt to foster circular economy (CE), cities are increasingly adopting urban living labs (ULLs) as sites of co-production aimed at testing alternative solutions based on the reuse of products, reduction of consumption and recycling of materials. Taking this perspective, our study adopts an exploratory research design to discover the pragmatic implications emerging from a case study. The City of Turin joined proGIreg, a European project that entails the regeneration of former industrial districts by means of nature-based solutions (NBS). Ranging from aquaponics to green roofs, seven NBS have been experimented in Turin, which rely on the use of natural systems to tackle social, economic and environmental challenges efficiently and sustainably. Among them, the most promising is related to the production and test of the ‘new soil’, a blend obtained by mixing earth materials coming from construction sites with compost, zeolites and mycorrhizae. The case herein presented is interesting to analyse for the multi-stakeholder management setting used, where public institutions, private companies, research institutions, citizens and associations collaborated in the co-creation and testing phase of the NBS. Consequently, the data collected through participant observation and direct interviews allow researchers to describe multi-stakeholders’ dynamics and how they work. Thus, this paper narrates a micro-contextual experience while providing a critique. Results include an analysis of the unique combination of different stakeholders, which strongly impacted on the management and the effectiveness of the entire project. By consequence, the paper offers both theoretical contributions to the relational branch of stakeholder theory and practical evidence in demonstrating the importance of the relational branch of the theory over a more traditional transactional view.

Abstract Background Homeopathy has been experiencing a period of expansion in Brazil due to its practical relevance in the face of new global and national health demands, culminating in the launch in 2006 of the National Policy for Integrative and Complementary Practices (NPICP) by the Ministry of Health of Brazil, which standardized and regularized the position of homeopathy within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). Aims To understand the impact of the guidelines proposed by the NPICP on homeopathy services in the SUS, specifically in the south-east region of Brazil, according to the perceptions of their managers. Methods This is a descriptive, exploratory research study with a qualitative approach, conducted in homeopathy services in the south-east region of Brazil, through semi-structured interviews and with data processed using content analysis. Results The data show the importance of the NPICP in regulating and offering homeopathy in the services studied. However, the NPICP's objective of promoting and fully developing integrative and complementary practices has not been achieved because it has failed to translate strategies into actions. Conclusions Though important to the development of homeopathy services in any given location, policies stated in the NPICP were revealed to have limited impact on the implementation and development of new services. Without further legislation, training programs and appropriate budget allocation, new services will be unable to thrive and their users unable to benefit from a more comprehensive approach to healthcare.

In this article we intend to analyze what is the state of the art in which the São Paulo City is in relation to the concept of Mil Cities, instituted in 2018 by UNESCO. From a group of metrics developed by the institu­ tion, we intend to see and measure effective actions that have already been implemented or are under development, that can serve as a basis to enable the construction of a MIL City in the analyzed public institu­ tion. In this tracking we want to understand how public communication from the perspective of public interest can establish itself as a paradigm, when governments, organizations and society demand a new and higher level of interlocution and exchange, with the purpose of transforming reality for a project that can transform the city of São Paulo into a MIL City. We use exploratory research in primary and secondary sources as a methodology.

Objective: To determine the relationship between the characteristics and experiences of homeless persons and their state of happiness as a basis for designing appropriate social support strategies. Design: Exploratory observational study with an analytical and descriptive qualitative design. Setting: Participants were contacted, administered with questionnaires, and interviewed in the street (central and northern areas of the city) or at the “Asociación Calor y Café” center in Granada (Spain) between April 2017 and February 2018. Participants: Selected by intentional sampling, 25 participants completed questionnaires in the first study and 14 of these were administered with questionnaires and interviewed in the second study. Method: General and specific questionnaires were administered to determine the state of happiness and other variables. Descriptive statistics were followed by an analysis of the relationships between variables and the content analysis of semi-structured interviews. Results: A feeling of happiness was described by 64% of participants and confirmed by a happiness scale score of 50%. Participants who felt satisfied with their life were 4.5-fold more likely to feel happy (p = 0.021). Expectations for the future were not associated with happiness or satisfaction with life. Content analysis of interviews revealed three main themes: conditions for happiness, own happiness/unhappiness, and self-esteem. Conclusions: Many homeless people describe themselves as feeling happy and satisfied with their life. Material aspects, affective situations, daily life concerns, and self-esteem predominate in their discourse on happiness.

This paper is covers the exploratory research study on the marketing strategies of IDBI Federal Insurance, Company. In the Indian context, Insurance companies are playing a major role in the development of Indian economy. With the entry of many private players in the insurance industry, the competition has risen manifold and hence insurance companies are coming out with innovative marketing strategies to woo the customer. This was the reason for narrowing down the scope of the research work. The present paper is an exploratory research study on the marketing strategy of IDBI Federal Insurance Company. The paper seeks to address the following objectives (a) To determine the marketing strategies of IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co. Ltd (b) To determine the means and mechanism deployed by IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Applying the marketing mix and to determine the effectiveness of the strategy and (c) to understand the reasons which provide competitive advantage to IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. The paper is developed on the basis of elementary primary and secondary data available in the Internet and other documents and journals. The design of the paper follows a structured approach. The literature review resulted in the generation of the research objectives. The primary data was collected by means of Google Forms and MS Excel was used for data analysis. Descriptive Statistics is used to arrive at the findings and interpretation. The findings indicate that the majority of the people seek insurance cover for the purpose of having risk cover and availing several benefits associated with the life insurance policies. Further, the findings indicate that there is a need to capitalize social media platform for generating awareness to drive the market growth. When they are disregarded as citizens, people on the street seem to be invisible with regard to their rights, while in their daily lives their presence causes discomfort, generating the inverse of invisibility. This work, when undertaking tourism as a social right, describes how the tourist experiences of a group of homeless people - assisted by a public social assistance agency, in partnership with a UFF extension program - took place, which they visited tourist attractions in the metropolitan region of Rio. In addition to contact with authors / research that dealt with the reality of people living on the streets, the theoretical basis intertwined the themes of the Right to Leisure and the City, the Tourist Experience and Social Tourism. The analyzes carried out from ethnographic bases, including participant observation and interviews with a semi-structured script, indicated that tourist experiences seem to have aroused affective memories that work for this group as a means of resistance to the condition in which they find themselves. Even so, some experiences were crossed by serious situations of prejudice and discrimination, directed by conventional visitors to the group.

CULTURAL DYNAMIC IN THE URBAN EXPERIENCE SCAPE – AN ANALYSIS OF BRANDTS KLÆDEFABRIKBrandts Klædefabrik (Brandt’s Textile Mill) is a cultural cluster in the city of Odense, Denmark. The cultural experiences available at Brandts Klædefabrik cover a wide field and are relevant for people of all levels of education and all ages, embracing as they do not only fine culture but also triviality and excitement. Brandts Klædefabrik is therefore a culturally inclusive place, although its symbolic power is dominated by a cultural and economic elitetrying to maintain an exclusively controlled social and physical order in the urban space. However, Brandts Klædefabrik is part of a city which contains a wide range of cultural groups: a Danish cultural elite, immigrants, homeless people and drug addicts. In this cultural multiplicity Brandts Klædefabrik is a cultural cluster and an urban entertainment district which does not include marginalised groups. Paradoxically, the attempt to maintainan exclusive order to satisfy an audience with buying power runs against the creative profile of the area, in which cultural and social multiplicity are important values. The area around Brandts Klædefabrik is a public space; but if it is going to be a public domain and the scene of cultural exchanges between different groups in the city, it needs to become more culturally inclusive. Brandts Klædefabrik may turn into a public domain if a cultural dynamic and multiplicity are given the chance to unfold there.
