The article presents the study on the electrically commutated DC motors or on the so called studies of the fields of application of brushless motors, considering their advantages and disadvantages. The computerized simulation model Matlab/Simulink of the characteristics of the EC motor was compiled, their units of operation were described as well as the methodology of their simulation. There are presented the curves of the change of the electromotive force induced in the phase winding of the motor, the cur rents and the moments of the motor under the various velocities of the rotor rotation. The obtained results indicate that the efficiency of the commutated motor depends on the accuracy of the commutation moment of the stator windings. One of the most commonly used actuators in industry are DC motors because of their relative control simplicity, small dimensions and a low price. The paper analyses a DC motor with focus on speed control using two different approaches. First, a mathematical model of the DC motor is introduced. For controller design, two methods, namely the frequency shaping method and PWM control, are used. Both approaches are simulated and compared to each other. For running simulations, software Matlab/Simulink has been applied. The conclusion discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the employed control methods. The contribution of the paper brings information about the advantages and disadvantages of approaches.

The driving theory and the dynamic characteristics of small radius steering, medium radius steering and big radius steering is analyzed, and the simulation model is established under Matlab/Simulink. Then the track bulldozers steering performance of the three sheerings is simulated. The results show that, at different steering modes, the running states of the two sides driving motors are not the same, and the track driving forces of the two sides vary widely. The track driving force is great in the small radius steering model, while small in the medium and big radius steering models. The simulation results lay the foundation for dual-motor drive track bulldozers steering performance matching.

The paper proposes the architecture and basic requirements for a network processor for OpenFlow switches of software-defined networks. An analysis of the architectures of well-known network processors is presented − NP-5 from EZchip (now Mellanox) and Tofino from Barefoot Networks. The advantages and disadvantages of two different versions of network processor architectures are considered: pipeline-based architecture, the stages of which are represented by a set of general-purpose processor cores, and pipeline-based architecture whose stages correspond to cores specialized for specific packet processing operations. Based on a dedicated set of the most common use case scenarios, a new architecture of the network processor unit (NPU) with functionally specialized pipeline stages was proposed. The article presents a description of the simulation model of the NPU of the proposed architecture. The simulation model of the network processor is implemented in C ++ languages using SystemC, the open-source C++ library. For the functional testing of the obtained NPU model, the described use case scenarios were implemented in C. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed NPU architecture a set of software products developed by KM211 company and the KMX32 family of microcontrollers were used. Evaluation of NPU performance was made on the basis of a simulation model. Estimates of the processing time of one packet and the average throughput of the NPU model for each scenario are obtained.

Abstract Although the superior performance of SiC MOSFET devices has beenvalidated by many studies, it is necessary to overcome many technical bottlenecks to make SiC MOSFET gradually replace Si-based power devices into the mainstream. In view of the current situation where the performance of SiC MOSFETs in power conversion devices cannot be evaluated well at this stage, it is necessary to carry out fine modeling of SiC MOSFETs and establish accurate simulation models. In this paper, the powerful mathematical processing capability and rich modules of Matlab/Simulink are used to build a SiC MOSFET model, and then the product data sheet is compared with the fitted data. The results show that the switching simulation waveforms are in general agreement with the data sheet waveforms, and the error is less than 7%. Verifing the accuracy of the model and reducing the difficulty of modeling, it provides a new idea for establishing the circuit simulation model of SiC MOSFET in Matlab/Simulink.

Multiphase electric motors have smaller torque pulsations and are more reliable that their three-phase alternatives. However, standard electricity grids around the world are three-phase, so power inverter is needed to drive multiphase motors. Inverter is used not only to power the motor, but also to control the amplitude and frequency of the produced voltage, thus controlling motor speed and torque. Multiphase systems with odd number of phases have been widely investigated; therefore, this paper focuses on a six-phase inverter with a single neutral symmetrical load. A novel asymmetrical space vector modulation scheme is proposed and evaluated using simulations in Matlab/Simulink. Simulation results are compared to other modulation schemes. The proposed method is suitable for generating near-sinusoidal output voltages; however, it might not be suited for driving motors with sinusoidally distributed stator windings. Daugiafaziai elektros varikliai turi mažesnes sukimo momento pulsacijas ir didesnį patikimumą, lyginant su trifaziais varikliais. Pasaulyje paplitę trijų fazių elektros tinklai, todėl daugiafaziams varikliams maitinti reikalingi dažnio keitikliai, keičiantys standartinę vienfazę arba trifazę tinklo įtampą į daugiafazę. Dažnio keitiklis keičia ir išėjimo įtampos amplitudę, ir dažnį. Tai sudaro galimybių tiksliai valdyti variklio greitį. Literatūroje plačiai išnagrinėti daugiafazės įtampos formavimo metodai, esant nelyginiam fazių skaičiui. Darbe siūlomas naujas erdvinių vektorių asimetrinis įtampos formavimo algoritmas šešių fazių dažnio keitikliui, apkrautam simetrine apkrova su viena neutrale. Algoritmas tiriamas Matlab / Simulink programa, rezultatai palyginami su gautais, taikant kitus šešiafazės įtampos formavimo metodus.

The article deals with the preparation of simulation model of mechanism with parallel kinematic structure called hexapod as an electro-mechanical system in software MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation model is composed from functional blocks represented each part of mechanism’s kinematic structure with certain properties. The results should be used for further simulation of its behaviour as well as for generating of control algorithms for real functional prototype.
