This chapter focuses on the overlooked area of everyday nursing care in which engaging in the depressive feelings between nurses and patients is not recognized as part of nursing care. To comprehend situations that had been overlooked, a conceptual model was constructed by focusing on nurse-patient conflicts and understanding the perception of both nurses and patients based on phenomena. In the established model, it is considered that the so-called “passion” emanating from one’s personality, which is beyond techniques of communication and empathic understanding, is involved; this passion is expressed as an “emotional exchange.” In an “emotional exchange,” one sends “emotional” messages to whom he/she feels safe to express “emotions” and shares similar emotional world by receiving those “emotional” messages as they are. Such an expression has not been reported previously.

ABSTRACT Objectives: To analyze and reflect on the potential applicability of the contribution of the physical resilience conceptual model of Whitson et al. in the care for older adults. Method: The present article of reflection was structured based on the consultation of articles and definition of inherent concepts, with analysis and reason of the potentialities of its application in geriatric nursing care. Results: Physical resilience is influenced by diverse stimuli. The identification of stressors and early intervention enable the delay of the functional capacity decline. In practice, the planning of interventions that depend on the innate capacity of older adults is of utmost importance. Conclusion: The trajectory outlined over a debilitating event is relevant to understand the factors that contribute to the development of frailty or pre-frailty conditions. This knowledge allows nurses to adjust their practice and contribute to the effectiveness of interventions and a better prevention of the frailty syndrome.

The purpose of this research was to establish a conceptual model of volunteer interpreters’ satisfaction in Taiwan. The objectives were: (1) to understand Taiwanese volunteer interpreters’ activity involvement, place attachment, and personal satisfaction and (2) to propose a hypothetical structural model representing the association between activity involvement, place attachment, and interpreters’ satisfaction. A total of 378 surveys were collected from volunteer interpreters at six Taiwan national parks and the Taipei Zoo. Based on the findings, research targets’ activity involvement was high and place attachment was moderate. Their satisfaction, however, was high. Furthermore, the results showed that the volunteer interpreters’ activity involvement and place attachment positively and significantly influenced satisfaction; their activity involvement also positively influenced place attachment. Based on the results, researchers proposed suggestions for agency managers who use volunteers, among them promoting interpreters’ activity involvement and place attachment in order to enhance volunteer satisfaction.

First of all, the paper introduces the concept of "field" in physics, constructs conceptual model and structural model of "dynamic field "to illustrate the role of evolution dynamic played to the participants in a project organization. On this basis, it constructs the field force function model of dynamic field, analyzing the field force after the dynamic factors coupled, and finally puts forward the working methods of the "dynamic field" of an organization and the conditions that the "dynamic field" of an organization can work better .

The article formulates the aims of HEI's activities, as well as approaches to managing all actions that ensure the achievement of the stated aims. The process approach is defined as the main one in the university management system. It is shown that the main directions of improving the activities of the university are the transition to the application of the process approach to the management of HEI and its informatization. On this basis, it is necessary to develop new, more modern university management systems that meet the contemporary requirements for the governance of multifunctional facilities and implement them in the form of process systems. We propose a conceptual model of the implementation of the functions to plan the educational process. The effects on planning functions are presented and the interrelation of these functions in the traditional form of planning is described. The tasks are formulated that need to be solved for modeling and optimizing business processes of planning and monitoring the academic workload to create an effective information technology for automating the functions of information processing. We propose a structural model for the implementation of information and procedural components of IT for planning and monitoring the educational environment. The implementation of this model in software provides the calculation of the optimal planned workload of students and teachers, considering the conditions in which the educational process is implemented.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to examine the concept of perishable food supply chain quality (PFSCQ) and to suggest a structural model that counts the influence of PFSCQ practices on organizational sustainable performance.Design/methodology/approachOn the basis of comprehensive literature review, PFSCQ highly significant practices were examined and designated. These practices were classified into four dimensions: upstream quality (supplier quality), downstream quality (customer focus), internal quality (process and logistics quality) and support practices (top management leadership and commitment to quality, quality of human resource, quality of information and supply chain integration). The measurement instrument of organizational sustainable performance was also build on, containing three aspects: economic, environmental and social performance.FindingsAn inventive conceptual model that specifies a comprehensive image cover up core dimensions of PFSCQ and various aspects of organizational sustainable performance was suggested. This conceptual model can be used as “a directive” for theory developing and measurement instrument development of PFSCQ practices and organizational sustainable performance. More prominently, on the road to achieving additional insight, an extensive structural model that makes out direct and indirect relationships between PFSCQ practices and organizational sustainable performance was also developed. Practitioners can apply this model as “a path plan” for implementing PFSCQ practices to improve organizational sustainable performance.Originality/valueThe integration of quality and supply chain even now remains inadequate in the literature. Consequently, it is required to have a more focused approach in assessing quality issues inside the upstream, internal and downstream of the supply chain. This study concentrates on the practices which make better quality aspects of the supply chain, known as PFSCQ practices. Suggested research models in this paper contribute to conceptual frameworks for theory building in PFSCQ and sustainable organizational performance. It is also expected that this research can suggest a useful direction for determining and implementing PFSCQ practices as well as make possible further studies in this arena.

Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) method is one of the newest subsections of general equilibrium theory in economy which can be used in many economical fields.  This article fundamentally presents the concept of this method in combination with Islamic principles in the financial theme. Moreover a conceptual model is designed through the Interpretive Structural Model (ISM). The results of this paper show the structure of DSGE method in the financial theme with Islamic concepts which can be so useful for researchers and decision makers. The crucial implication of this research would be using Islamic DSGE for Islamic nations with specific related variables.
