The article discusses issues related to the influence of family on the formation of work attitudes of students. According to the data of the social research conducted by the author in 2020, the coincidence of the structures of basic values among students and their parents was exposed. An increase in the degree of influence of family on the selection of a profession by young people has been established. The results of the survey revealed the similarities and differences in the work attitudes of the two generations. For both students and their parents, the content aspect appeared to be a priority in the work. For the older generation, as compared with children, the social component of labor is more important. For young people, the opportunities for personal self-realization and the material side of working career are more important than for their parents. The analysis of the research findings allows for the conclusion that nowadays the importance of the educational influence of family on the formation of the value system of young people, as well as in the labor sphere, is still high.

Nationalism has made a significant contribution to state formation, but also to state deformation, secessionist movements, and wars. In international relations, nationalism has emerged as a particularly pressing problem over the question of disputed territorial boundaries. Indeed, nationalist movements seeking to change or revise boundaries by either negotiation, stealth, or force have been one of the most fundamental causes of both international and internal conflict in the modern era. The case of Bosnia-Hercegovina is a classic example of a long-running nationalist conflict which has had a profound empirical implications for both the social sciences and the humanities. The massacre at Srebrenica, ruled as genocide by the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague, had a considerable impact beyond the Balkans and the Netherlands. While discussing genocide and crimes against humanity in fair historical context within parts of Serbia and enclaves within Republika Srpska and Montenegro today has remained a difficult and challenging task, a growing number of scholars have shown interest in comparative genocide and the way in which events can be meaningfully compared. The case of Bosnia has also provoked numerous debates in other areas, including the role of sexual crimes in war; obfuscation and genocide denial among extreme nationalists; issues of citizenship, reconstruction, and peacekeeping; the shortcomings of the international community (with particular reference to the United Nations); and the role of international law, especially the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY).

The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of self-assessment of ambition of students - representatives of Y and Z generations. The aim of the study was to identify the similarities and differences in self-esteem of ambition and the degree of its expression among young people of different generations. A cross-sectional survey of young people's ambition was conducted in 2009 (Gen Y youth) and 2020 (Gen Z youth). The study involved 200 young people aged 18-22: 106 young people of generation Y and 94 young people of generation Z. To study ambition, the “Ambition” questionnaire (O.V. Barsukova) was used. Most of the young people of generation Y assess themselves as ambitious or rather ambitious people (70.42%), slightly more than a quarter of students (28.17%) consider themselves to be un-ambitious people or rather un-ambitious than ambitious people. The minimum number of students found it difficult to assess themselves (1.41%). Most of the young people of generation Y rate their ambition as high (45.07%), about a third of them - as moderate (30.99%), about a quarter of them - as low (23.94%). The majority of young people of generation Z (70.22%) consider themselves ambitious people or rather ambitious than un-ambitious people, about a third of them (29.79%) consider themselves un-ambitious people or rather un-ambitious than ambitious people. There were no young people who found it difficult to assess themselves. Most of the young people of generation Z rate their ambition as moderate (51.06%), just over a third of them - as high (36.17%), the minimum number - as low (12.77%). Along with globalization, the structure of markets has changed. In today's markets, it is necessary to analyse the consumers’ profile in order to appeal to consumers or compete with other companies and survive against them. Today's changing consumer structure reveals the differentiation of consumption habits as well. The Generation Z, which is included in the young age profile of the consumer segment, represents the year 1995 and beyond. This generation is also known as the mobile generation. They are interested in more technology than their predecessors (Generation X and Y), and they are actualizing their social lives more and more through smart devices such as mobile phone, tablets. This situation has also changed the perception of time and space in consumption habits. The shopping mall culture that emerged with globalization is now taking its place to Internet shopping. Ads made via social media and shopping made by these ads are among the preferences of Generation Z. In this study, we focus on changing the general consumption habits and the role of the Generation Z’s profile in these habits. For this purpose, questionnaires developed for our study were applied to 200 people who are members of the relevant Generation Z. And the data obtained from the field are evaluated by reliability and factor analysis. Findings are interpreted as the Generation Z Consumption Scale.

The Millennials, or Generation Y, have been receiving increasing attention as these young people have entered tertiary institutions and the workplace over the past decade. Their behavior towards authority is coming under sharper scrutiny as they prepare to move into leadership positions. For example, their assertiveness received both positive and negative attention in the South African media during the “fees must fall” campaign. While parents, caregivers, teachers, and employers wonder about the best approach to Millennials, Generation Z are also entering post-secondary schools. Parenting approaches and the role of technology are being reevaluated. Within this context the article provides strategies that might be used to understand and guide these generations, thus helping avoid a generation gap that would threaten healthy relationships with our youth. After highlighting the differences between the attributes of these generations of young people and the generations who raised them, concepts such as character qualities, digital nativeness, and global civic engagement will receive attention. The convergence of such concepts will be used to recommend strategies for use in the parenting and teaching of Generations Y and Z.

The aim of this study is to analyse the views of young people belonging to Generation Z about the role of technology in future schools in 2030. Without listening to young people’s voices, it has been stated that there is a strong need to increase the use of technology and digitalization in teaching and learning. Based on the essays collected from 89 Finnish young people aged 15–18 years from four different regions, this article presents four qualitatively different future images of technology in future schools. Our results show that the representatives of the same generation are divided into different units with different responses to the rapid technological change and hence one of the key formative experiences of their generation.

Summary One cannot write about the relationship of young people and current sports stars in modern society without having previously studied the processes of mediation and globalisation of sport, and the transformation of traditional social values. The goal of the science and practice engaged in sports and education of young people is a constant quest for preserving universal ethical values and reconciling them with the modern-day social processes. This paper will present the result of a survey conducted with adolescents in five different Serbian cities in order to find the answer to the question if sportspersons were their favourite television role-models. According to the results of our survey, 45% of adolescents do not have a favourite TV personality and do not know for sure who that could be. Novak Đoković, who would be the choice of adults for a role model of the young, with 63.2% according to the survey conducted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, scored 3.81% in our survey with adolescents who would chose Novak Đoković as their favourite TV personality. The necessity of raising media literacy of young people with the aim of clear identification of sports role models who are going to improve their quality of life still remains an open issue for further research on this course.
