Abstract Infant formula is designed to provide the human infant with a sole source of nutrition and it is intended to imitate breast milk. In recent years, advances in the science of infant nutrition have led to an increasing number of novel ingredients that are supplemented into infant formula. As the list of these nutritionally important nutrients is lengthy, this review summarizes contemporary analytical methods that have been applied to a representative selection (lutein, carnitine, choline, nucleotides, inositol, taurine, sialic acid, gangliosides, triacylglycerides, oligosaccharides, α-lactalbumin, and lactoferrin).

Abstract: The Islamic economic crisis from an epistemological perspective has been going on in recent years, based on many Islamic economic figures' writings. Monzer Kahf argues about Islamic economics's definition that there is no agreement among Muslim economists about the definition of Islamic economics, its scope, its relation to conventional economics, analytical methods and instruments, and even some of its basic assumptions. They view that the Islamic economy epistemologically still needs to be studied, while this Study, which has been going on for 40 years, seems to be running in place. In this Study, researchers used a library research method. This aims to reveal the redefinition of Islamic economics from contemporary economists, the methodological crisis that has hit Islamic economics, and the urgency of developing Islamic economics methodology among contemporary thinkers. The essence of the urgency of developing methodologies and approaches in Islamic economics is tawhid. The central or core concept that permeates all aspects of the epistemology of Islamic economics is tawhid. Tawhîd is the essence of Islam; tawhîd is considered the unity of knowledge and can be broken down into sources, methods and scientific knowledge. Knowledge comes from Allah's revelations to His Prophet, and reasoning, perception, and empiricism. Because of al-Attas, God's first type of knowledge is through direct revelation. The second is through the speculation of rational investigations based on his experience of the plausible and understandable.

The term ‘vernacular’ and ‘traditional’ in architecture context actually has a root meaning which is almost the same; both have the same meaning that can be attached to one form of architecture work which is oriented on locality aspects and historiy of its existence. However, how can we distinguish the two terms? One way to find it out is to do a case study on two traditional architecture buildings: Balinese buildings and Minangkabau buildings taken as the sample study. In general, both building have two criteria: culture philosophy and adaptative modernism. Through descriptive analytical methods, the two building types were analyzed to acquire the definition of the building shapes which can be classified whether they belong to vernacular or traditional. The results show that vernacular architecture is a form of original work which is specified with the content and a very strong local and contextual philosophy proper to its time, while the traditional architectural building is a vernacular masterpiece recognized by acclamation and hereditary within a very long time.

This paper presents a critical review of the analytical methods of slope stability analysis. The effective stress methods of analysis surfer from four fundamental weaknesses related to the magnitude of the effective stresses, the assumed stress path, the indiscriminate use of a Mohr–Coulomb criterion, and the definition of the factor of safety. As a result the quality of the computed factors of safety must be questioned.Practical consequences as well as alternative solutions for the analysis of stability of slopes or foundations are discussed.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the terminological apparatus associated with the phenomenon of quasi-judicial justice. The goal is to consider the legal interpretation of the concepts of “quasi-judicial justice” as a set of bodies and institutions providing alternative judicial means of resolving conflicts in society. The research methodology consisted of formal legal and analytical methods. The paper uses methods of linguistic analysis. The study determines the formal and essential (material) approaches to the definition of quasijudicialness. There is a diversity of phenomena that form quasi-judicial institutions in the historical and modern sense and the lack of certainty of word usage in the legal field: normative acts and the doctrine of law. The conclusions are based on the departure from tradition, the negative coloring of the phenomenon of quasi-judicial justice, which is based on the practice of applying the decisions of administrative justice bodies as a tool for building an authoritarian political model of the USSR.

Sunny Sand – Autumn Thoughts (Qiu si) by Ma Zhi Yuan is a Chinese sanqu poetry that evokes feelings through the beauty of scenery. The rhythm 2:2 can be found nearly everywhere in the text and each of them describes a single traveller in the isolated landscape. Those landscapes form a big picture of an autumn afternoon filled with sadness and homesickness of those who live far away from home, which makes the reader heart-broken. The Chinese sanqu poetry is regarded as a definition that fully carries the meanings of “broken heart”. The article primarily uses analytical methods with comparison and contrast to emphasize the uniqueness of the work as well as the artistic creativity of Ma Zhi Yuan, asserting that Sunny Sand – Autumn Thoughts is a poetic definition of “broken heart”.

The need to identify the boundaries of increasingly complex product-markets has spawned a number of analytical methods based on customer behavior or judgments. The various methods are compared and contrasted according to whether they are consistent with a conceptual definition of a product-market, and their ability to yield diagnostic insights.
