Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has significantly affected all areas of life in most countries. Telehealth has gained importance during this era of social distancing, including teledermatology (TD). The purpose of this survey was to determine the challenges and impact of COVID-19 on TD practice in providing continued care to patients by dermatologists in Pakistan. Methods: A questionnaire comprised of fifteen questions was created with Google Forms and distributed to dermatologists practicing in various cities of Pakistan via WhatsApp or e-mail, then the data was collected. Results: A total of 81 dermatologists from various cities of Pakistan responded to the survey, among whom about two thirds reported a positive experience with TD, yet some had issues in communication gaps and breaches of confidentiality, and the majority considered it unequal to in-person visits. Conclusion: TD plays an important role during the COVID-19 pandemic as a simple, time-saving procedure allowing social distancing with good patient satisfaction.

The inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) has high patient satisfaction rates and good mechanical reliability rates in multiple studies. The number one patient compliant at six months is penile length. Recently, new technique for aggressive sizing of the cylinders has been published on in the literature. One IPP company has produced a new product that has longer length cylinders (XL) than those available. However, traditionally long cylinders were felt to lack axial rigidity. Therefore, a prospective, multicenter, central IRB-approved, monitored study was performed on the new product to address these concerns. At 2 centers, a total of 17 patients underwent surgical implantation of these new XL cylinders. These patients were questioned for patient satisfaction and tested for axial rigidity using a Fastsize Erectile Quality Monitor. The results showed excellent patient satisfaction rates and great axial rigidity with the Fastsize Erectile Quality Monitor. The XL cylinders appear to give the IPP surgeon the ability to use longer cylinders with good patient satisfaction and great axial rigidity.

Both open and endoscopic methods for ulnar nerve decompression have been described. The purpose of this study is to compare the 6-month results of a minimal invasive open technique with an endoscopic technique. We treated 60 patients with unilateral ulnar neuropathy at the elbow, employing both techniques. Six months postoperative we found no differences in treatment effect on pain and disability scores between both groups, but both techniques resulted in an early postoperative relief of symptoms and good patient satisfaction.

O b j e c t i v e s : To study the prevalence of pilonidal sinus and compare the outcome of the excision and primary closure withlay open surgical procedures. D e s i g n : Prospective randomized comparative study. Setting: Department of surgery, Bahawal VictoriaHospital Bahawalpur. P e r i o d : From 1s t December 2002 to 30th November 2007.Materials a n d M e t h o d s : A total of 40 patients with pilonidalsinus were randomized into two groups. Group I underwent excision and primary closure while Group II underwent excision and lay openprocedure. Results: Patients of Group I & II had comparable mean operation time of 42.7 minutes. Group I patients had a shorter meanhospital stay of 4.87 days, earlier return to light work after 13.21 days, less treatment expenses and low rate of postoperative complicationsand good patient satisfaction. C o n c l u s i o n : We conclude that primary closure after excision of pilonidal sinus is superior surgical procedurethan excision and laying it open

Abstract It has been speculated that some drugs can be used against SARS-CoV-2. As for antiretrovirals, the follow-up of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) users during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak may help to understand the potential protective effect of PrEP against SARS-CoV-2. We aimed to identify associations between oral PrEP use and COVID-19-related symptoms self-reporting. Phone call interviews or digital investigation (through WhatsApp® or e-mail) about oral PrEP regular use, social distancing, exposure to suspected or confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19-related symptoms. Among 108 individuals, the majority were cisgender, white and gay men. Although most of the individuals engaged in social distancing (68.52%), they kept on taking PrEP (75.93%). Few people have had contact with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 (12.04%), but some had COVID-19-related symptoms the month before the interview (27.78%) including rhinorrheoa (56.67%), cough (53.33%), asthaenia (50.00%) and headache (43.33%). Also, oral PrEP was associated with lower self-reporting COVID-19-symptoms (OR 0.26, 95% CI 0.07–0.96, P = 0.04; h = 0.92) even after controlling confounders as social distancing, age, body-mass index and morbidities . In our sample, the regular use of oral PrEP was associated with lower self-reporting of COVID-19-related symptoms during the outbreak in São Paulo, Brazil.

ABSTRACT Background: The government’s efforts to improve public health level are by providing excellent health service facilities, including promotion, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative. The outcome of quality health service can be measured by patient perception and satisfaction. This study aimed to examine factors affecting the perceived quality of service and patient satisfaction on inpatient care of Nabire Hospital, Papua, Indonesia. Subjects and Method: A cross-sectional study was carried out at Nabire regional hospital, Papua, Indonesia, from March to Mey 2020. A sample of 207 inpatients was selected by stratified random sampling. The dependent variable was patient satisfaction. The independent variables were age, income, and length of stay type class health insurance, working, and patient perception toward doctor, nurse, and inpatients facilities. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by a multiple logistic regression. Results: Inpatients satisfaction decreased with age ≥50 years (OR= 0.72; 95% CI= 0.24 to 2.65; p= 0.720), income ≥Papua minimum wage (OR= 0.77; 95% CI= 0.22 to 2.73; p= 0.685), and length of stay ≥7 days (OR= 0.13; 95% CI= 0.03 to 0.53; p= 0.004). Inpatients satisfaction increased with class 2 and 3 (OR= 1.15; 95% CI= 0.43 to 3.07; p= 0.773), non national health insurance (OR= 1.21; 95% CI= 0.46 to 3.23; p= 0.700), working (OR= 2.13; 95% CI= 0.58 to 7.85; p= 0.258), good patient perception toward doctor (OR= 3.03; 95% CI= 1.15 to 7.99; p<0.001), good persepsi patient perception toward nurse (OR= 4.04; 95% CI= 1.15 to 14.17; p<0.001), and patient perception toward inpatients facilities (OR= 26.8; 95% CI= 11.0 to 65.32; p<0.001). Conclusion: Inpatients satisfaction decreases with age ≥50 years, income ≥Papua minimum wage, and length of stay ≥7 days. Inpatients satisfaction increases with class 2 and 3, non national health insurance, working, good patient perception toward doctor, good persepsi patient perception toward nurse, and patient perception toward inpatients facilities. Abstract Aim The COVID-19 pandemic led to the introduction of movement restrictions and the concept of social distancing in Ireland, beginning suddenly on March 12th 2020 (1). Following this, virtual consultation via video-call have been identified and integrated as an alternative to in-person consultation. To follow national recommendations and reduce the risk of patient attendance, video consultations were rapidly integrated by the hand therapy team at University Hospital Galway. This service provides a service to 730,513 people across eight counties (2) and was utilised for a range of upper limb injuries, providing vital care to trauma patients post-operatively and to minor injury cases. We wanted to retrospectively assess the implementation of these virtual clinics and how it affected patients. Method Patients were offered virtual hand therapy appointments. Patients were sent a link with their virtual appointment time and date via email. The patient could accept or decline the option of a virtual appointment at this stage. Patient satisfaction was measured via a bespoke survey. Functional outcomes were assessed via the QuickDASH assessment tool (3). Results 44/74 ( 59.5%) of patients responded to the survey. Subjectively, the vast found the service user-friendly, convenient and beneficial. Objectively, the QuickDash score demonstrated low disability and high upper limb function return post injury. Conclusions Implementation of virtual hand therapy was integrated into practise without major issues. Patient satisfaction was very high. Virtual health services have obvious economic and environmental benefits and are essential to providing safe patient care in a social distancing society.

The article aims at providing a deep understanding of electronic marketing practices and investigating the current status of e-marketing (benefits, tools, and barriers) in Jordanian tourism agencies. Methodologically, the article adopts a qualitative design to achieve its objectives. In-depth interviews are employed to generate data. The purposive sample is used to choose the target interviewees. Eight executives from different tourism agencies have been selected to conduct the interviews. The qualitative data of each interview have been analyzed using the thematic and textual analysis. Based on a holistic view of the study, the interviews themes have been extracted. The article concludes that cost minimization and time saving are the most important advantages for e-marketing. Moreover, promotional offers information is the most important type of information provided by e-marketing system. Social media and e-mail marketing are the common tools for e-marketing in tourism agencies. However, privacy issues barrier is the major challenge which is encountered by e-marketing practices.
