A Constraint in education order to produce qualified graduates is a traditional mindset of many schools in students’ majoring which only emphasizes on students’ grades. The fact is similar to ideas that expressed by Seto Mulyadi (2003), a practitioner of the child's education. He said that it was a big mistake if student achievement only measured on grades at the end of the semester.Senior High school is upper level of formal education in Indonesia, after graduating from junior high school. Students study at senior high school within 3 years as they  study at Islamic senior high school (MAN) 2 Padang Panjang, ranging from grade 10 to grade 12. In the second year or at the grade 11, students may choose one of the majors that exist in schools, namely, science, social, and Religious. In designing the decision support system for students’ majoring at MAN 2 Padang Panjang,   an artificial neural network based on Multiple Intelligence is needed. Furthermore, Java programming and MySQL are also required.  The results of the data analysis showed that the design of a decision support system for students’ majoring at MAN 2 Padang Panjang by using artificial neural network was successfully implemented, and the system can help the teachers to simplify the implementation of students’ majoring. Keywords: Students’ majoring, Multiple Intelligence, Artificial Neural Networks, Java and MySQL

Plentiful choices of Student Activities Unit that offered by a campus like Multimedia Nusantara University can help students who want to choose a unit that suitable for them. The decision support system application with Forward Chaining method is built to help students choosing the Student Activity Unit that suits them. Multiple Intelligence method is used as the knowledge base at making the rules. The aspects that considered as attributes to choosing the Student Activities Unit is the initial interest and also the multiple intelligence scores that the level of conformity will be searched by using Forward Chaining method. This research has produced a knowledge-based decision support system that can help students at choosing Student Activities Unit that suitable for them with the highest accuracy of 86.67 percent. This system is designed in website with PHP and MySQL database programming language. Index Terms—Forward Chaining, Knowledge-based, Multimedia Nusantara University, Multiple Intelligence, Student Activities Unit

A prototype of an automated decision support system for creative universities has been developed, which will allow assessing the achievements particularly talented students and identifying the needs in the learning process in order to help organize the educational process in accordance with identified capabilities. Use of a decision support system based on the Bayesian classifier is suggested which will allow to evaluate factors contributing to the progress in teaching students particular techniques, and in perspective to assess the possible resources that will be required to make changes to the learning. The list of specific performance indicators is given. The system should contribute to the formation of the learning plan, taking into account the capabilities of both a group art workshop as a whole, and special needs of an individual to develop, if necessary an individual approach.

Decision support system for selecting color guard with VIKOR and Borda methods. It has been made as a tool to select color guard at the Sei Rampah High School. The criteria used in the decision support system for color guard selection are: height, weight, agility, stamina, and body language. Color guard selection activities are a routine activity every year, so GINADA marching band coach Sei Rampah hereby selects to select permanent members in the marching band. Decision Support System in an organization can be seen as important in supporting the smooth running of activities and achieving an organizational goal. SPK can come in various forms, ranging from simple forms of data processing to complex application forms, and can also be used to accelerate and improve the quality of the decision-making process in the organization.

Raren Batuah 1 High School is a senior high school education level located at Unsum Village, Raren Batuah District, East Barito Regency, at Raren Batuah 1 High School, assistance is provided in the form of subsidies for Poor Student Assistance for the smooth teaching and learning process for students less fortunate. To help the selection process for recipients of Poor Student Assistance, a decision support system has been designed using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method by prioritizing the criteria of parental income, the number of dependents of parents, and the value of student report cards that will be used for a reference decision making for the right recipient of Poor Student Assistance. Decision Support System Application (DSS) for Poor Student Assistance Recipients was designed using Flowchart and implemented using the Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2010 programming language.

Decision support system is a combination of individual intelligence sources with the ability of components to improve the quality of decisions. Decision support systems are also computer-based information systems for management decision-making that deal with semi-structured problems. With a decision support system makes it easier for us to determine the decisions for majors of high school students. Because the determination of this department is very influential with the future of students. So from that the author conducted this study to facilitate students in determining majors. So that these two methods can be compared and find the best results in making decisions about the majors of high school students.

The K to 12 Basic Education program uses standards and a competency-based grading system. These are found in the curriculum guides. All grades will be based on the weighted raw score of the learners’ summative assessments. Senior High School Students have been graded on three categories the written work, performance tasks, and quarterly assessments. Technology plays a substantial role in helping teachers in the progress, communication, application, and grading of assessment tasks. Thus, this study aims to produce a feasible computerized grading system that will address these issues and problems encountered by the teachers in recording and monitoring grades. The developed K12 Senior High School Students Academic Performance Monitoring System for Private Institutions with Decision Support System was compliant with ISO 25010 quality standards as assessed by SHS Principal, SHS Faculty/ Teachers, and IT Experts. The developed system followed the policy and guidelines set by the department of education in the grading system. The decision support system of the developed system helped the senior high school principal and teachers in monitoring the grades and performance of the students in every subject. Monitoring the performance of the students academically and non-academically, and classifying the students who have at risk in their academic performance.

A prospective student who wants to continue his education to high school health science is not an easy matter, many considerations that must be taken into account as expenses for tuition , job vacancies , the campus co-operation with relevant agencies , and others . Sample criteria used in the design of a prototype decision support system in choosing the College of Health Sciences ( STIKES ) is the criterion obtained from the results of the questionnaire were tested for validity every variable criteria. The decision making process in choosing a high school health science using two methods , namely the incorporation of F - AHP and AHP which has the aim to reduce the subjectivity of assessment and check the consistency between the criteria and sub-criteria , so as to produce a high- ranking school objectives of health sciences , as well as STIKES can help provide recommendations which are feasible for selected.
