The hybrid concept that develops in urban community settlements in an unplaning manner has led to various forms of settlement patterns that are adapted to social, economic and environmental conditions. This hybridity condition is potential for more innovative settlement consolidation efforts. This research was conducted to examine the quality of the hybridity formed in urban village settlements in Sindulang Satu Village, Manado, and to find the consolidation principle of settlement patterns by developing hybridity values at the site location. The quality of the hybridity was examined based on the perspective of programming hybrid, operational hybrid and spatial hybrid. This study used a qualitative research method, with modeling and experimental simulation technique approach. The analysis of settlement space performance was done by statistical calculations and graphical analysis using space syntax method. The research data was obtained using questionnaire, interviews and observations methods of samples that met the criteria of purposive sampling. The results of this study showed the potential of the hybridity in site locations with good quality, so that it became a consideration in formulating the principle of settlement pattern consolidation to increase site hybridity.

The development of housing and settlement was not only intended for physical development but rather must be linked to the social, economic and cultural dimensions that support people's lives in a sustainable way. The settlement must provide environmental facilities for its citizens that accommodate the five basic elements; nature, people, society, places, and networks. The object studied was Kebonsari Village located on the southern border between Malang City and Malang Regency. Kebonsari village has an interesting topography because it is passed by two rivers, namely Mergan River and Sukun River which is located in eastern Kebonsari. However, a number of problems are encountered in Kebonsari urban village, including the unclean condition of Mergan River, poor condition of public facilities supporting settlements, such as arid and unkempt footpaths and lack of common space for residents. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with observational participatory technique. The outline of this study was the design concept of Mergan riverbank arrangement which includes the arrangement of paths and common space for the citizens who can improve the quality of settlements in Kebonsari urban village

The process of settlements formation was possibly made by the process of creating dwelling environment as a functional space that accommodate all human needs, These condition are based on the patterns of activity and interaction between people or society with the their environmen setting; both physical and non-physical (social and cultural). In occupied their environment, humans are adapt  to the  environment  preferences  concerning their understanding  to  the natural  characteristics  and  vice-versa.  This adaptation  led to  the concept of  living  that shows  how  people adapt  to the environment  and  creating  their settlement patterns. This study used case study from three villages, namely; Sepuk Laut village, Tanjung Saleh village, and Punggur Besar  village of Sungai Kakap Sub-district, Kubu Raya Regency, which adapt to the environment and form a pattern of settlement in the waterfront areas. The results of this study shown that the settlement pattern formed based on the stage of development of the river and waterfront areas. Besides, it also found that the structure of the settlement is in linear patterns, orientation to the water, the density and quality of the buildings, and the topography of the waterfront.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze speeches, representations, and approaches on health and health promotion in schools, materialized in the speech of teachers. Methods: a qualitative study, of the case study type, carried out with 17 teachers from the municipal and state educational network. The data were obtained from interviews and analyzed by the Content-Oriented Discourse Analysis. Results: medical-sanitary and clinical-biological discourses predominated. Health is represented as the absence of disease, reflecting approaches that prioritize healthy habits and changes in behavior. Problematization of social determinants occurs in projects, in an intersectorial partnership. Final Considerations: carrying out projects of health promotion in schools ignores the solidification of partnerships and the construction of new speeches that represent it as quality of life conditioned by social, economic, and cultural factors as well as strategies for the ideological repositioning of those actors who act in this setting.

Purpose Misophonia is a sound tolerance disorder condition in certain sounds that trigger intense emotional or physiological responses. While some persons may experience misophonia, a few patients suffer from misophonia. However, there is a dearth of literature on audiological assessment and management of persons with misophonia. The purpose of this report is to discuss the assessment of misophonia and highlight the management option that helped a patient with misophonia. Method A case study of a 26-year-old woman with the complaint of decreased tolerance to specific sounds affecting quality of life is reported. Audiological assessment differentiated misophonia from hyperacusis. Management included retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy based on the principles described by P. J. Jastreboff and Jastreboff (2014). A misophonia questionnaire was administered at regular intervals to monitor the effectiveness of therapy. Results A detailed case history and audiological evaluations including pure-tone audiogram and Johnson Hyperacusis Index revealed the presence of misophonia. The patient benefitted from intervention, and the scores of the misophonia questionnaire indicated a decrease in the severity of the problem. Conclusions It is important to differentially diagnose misophonia and hyperacusis in persons with sound tolerance disorders. Retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy can help patients who suffer from misophonia.
