E-commerce market in Indonesia has tremendous growth and predicted to become significant contributor to Foreign Direct Investment. Millennials, heavily affected by technology and internet, considered to be the driver growth of e-commerce. Applying the theory of modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research analyzes whether perceived of ease of use and perceived usefulness mediate the impact of computer self-efficacy on the behavior of e-commerce users to use Lazada platform. The study was a quantitative study with online questionnaire. Data of 200 respondents were analyzed by Structural Equation Modelling and the result shows that computer self-efficacy indirectly affects behavioral intention to use through perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness and attitude towards use are not significant mediators because of their insignificance on intention to use. Computer self-efficacy has significant impact on behavioral intention mediated by perceived ease of use, but not by perceived usefulness.

Mobile banking enables clients to bank virtually without restrictions to time and place. Despite wide adoption of mobile banking around the world, use of mobile banking is still considered low. Philippines has the lowest digital banking penetration across Asian countries although the country known for the title of “SMS-intensive country in the world”. Factor analysis, partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) and ANOVA with bootstrapping were used to test research hypotheses. Findings from 212 Universal bank retail branch clients show that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, social influence and trust propensity have significant positive influence on behavioral intention to use mobile banking. Results also show that respondents with matured age (22 years and above), male, at least Bachelor Degree graduate and receiving a monthly income higher than Php 10,001 has higher behavioral intention. This study is relevant for proposing marketing strategies to increase adoption of mobile banking and contribute for further advancement on technology acceptance literature.

The objective of this study is to investigate the factors that are affecting customers’ intention to use Islamic FinTech services during the Covid-19 crisis. It expands the technology acceptance model (TAM) by adding government support as a new variable for the context of Islamic FinTech services during the pandemic. Using TAM as a framework, we propose a model outlining the impact of government regulation, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived trust, and user innovativeness on consumer attitude behaviour and the intention to use Islamic FinTech services, such as payment and peer-to-peer lending. 220 sets of data were collected from an online survey and analysed using partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The results show that government support for Islamic FinTech during the Covid-19 pandemic has had an indirect impact on attitude behaviour in using Islamic services through perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Attitude behaviour was found to have an impact on intention.

Perceptions of computer self-efficacy (CSE) and computer anxiety are valuable predictors of various computer-related behaviors, including acceptance and utilization of information systems (IS). Although both factors are purported to have general and application-specific components, little research has focused on the application or system-specific component, especially in IS acceptance contexts. Thus, little is known about the effects of application-specific beliefs on IS acceptance or how such effects compare with the effects of more general CSE and computer anxiety beliefs. Accordingly, a research model comprising application CSE, application anxiety, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and intention was proposed and tested via path analysis. The results demonstrated that the direct impacts of application CSE and application anxiety on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness were almost equal, but in opposite directions. However, the indirect effect of application CSE on attitude and intention was stronger than that of application anxiety.

Purpose Several countries have been using internet of things (IoT) devices in the healthcare sector to combat COVID-19. Therefore, this study aims to examine the doctors’ intentions to use IoT healthcare devices in Iraq during the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach This study proposed a model based on the integration of the innovation diffusion theory (IDT). This included compatibility, trialability and image and a set of exogenous factors such as computer self-efficacy, privacy and cost into the technology acceptance model comprising perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude and behavioral intention to use. Findings The findings revealed that compatibility and image of the IDT factors, have a significant impact on the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and behavioral intention, but trialability has a significant impact on perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and insignificant impact on behavioral intention. Additionally, external factors such as privacy and cost significantly impacted doctors’ behavioral intention to use. Moreover, doctors’ computer self-efficacy significantly influenced the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and behavioral intention to use. Furthermore, perceived ease of use has a significant impact on perceived usefulness and attitude, perceived usefulness has a significant impact on attitude, which, in turn, significantly impacting doctors' behavior toward an intention to use. Research limitations/implications The limitations of the present study are the retractions of the number of participants and the lack of qualitative methods. Originality/value The finding of this study could benefit researchers, doctors and policymakers in the adaption of IoT technologies in the health sectors, especially in developing counties.

Despite the prevalence of computing in all aspects of society, some computer systems may not be fully accepted by their intended users or become underutilized. Thus, acceptance and use of information technologies remain a paramount issue in information systems (IS) research and practice. Extending previous research by integrating computer self-efficacy and perceived system complexity as external variables to the technology acceptance model (TAM), this study examines the direct and indirect effects of these two factors on system acceptance and use. The results indicated that computer self-efficacy and system complexity had significant direct effects on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use as well as indirect effects on attitude and behavioral intention. However, the effect of perceived ease of use on attitude was stronger than that of perceived usefulness. In turn, attitude demonstrated a non-significant impact on behavioral intention. These findings highlight several implications for research and practice.
