Sunshine Children Centre, Semarang is an English Course established in 2005 by Sri Mulyani Gondowardono. This course teaches students from young toddlers up until Grade 6. Sunshine Children Centre’s main problem is the decreasing number of students due to the changes from offline to online classes and the fact that this course does not have any promotional tool. Therefore, after considering many factors, the best solution is to make a promotional video and upload it to social media platforms such as Instagram. The duration of the video is only a minute as a promotional video should not last longer than two minutes (Klass, 2018). The video highlights all of the three Unique Selling Points (USPs). The first USP is that this course helps students in their homework and give additional assignments. Second, it offers courses for small groups and private students while the last USP is that it accepts students from both regular and immersion curriculum. By having an engaging promotional video, Sunshine Children Centre will expectedly be able to attract new customers and maintain existing students. Keywords: online learning, promotional video, Unique Selling Points

Social media has evolved over the last decade to become an important driver for acquiring and spreading information in different domains such as business, entertainment, crisis management, and politics. The increasing popularity of social media raises a number of questions regarding why we use it so much and what aspects influence this activity. What about gender? What about education, income, age or social status? This paper answers some of these questions using statistical analyses and by dividing overall social media use into selected social media, i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and Twitter. The analysis used a dataset that contains information related to 2002 respondents from the U.S. and their social media activity. The results show that people with high household incomes and high education use social media the most. As age increases, social media use decreases, while bigger household income means that social media are used more. Overall, understanding where and at what frequency users are on social media can be a key competitive advantage. When using social networks correctly for marketing, companies can significantly improve their brand awareness, customer satisfaction, quality, reach, and profit.

This article considers the significance of social media platforms during the 2011 Egyptian Revolution to two small groups of Egyptian nationals. Interviews were conducted with small groups of Egyptians living in the UK and Egyptians living at home. It establishes how these citizens used social media during the revolution and whether during the days of civil unrest they became citizen journalists by accessing and sharing information and video content with family and friends via digital media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. This research found that the sharing of online revolutionary content was dependent upon the level of trust with which the interviewees regarded its source. Significantly, interviewees in the UK were reluctant to share any content they received through social media platforms, and trusted only sources that they judged were ‘reliable’, while interviewees in Egypt shared content that was posted by fellow citizens regardless of whether or not they completely trusted the source.

Introduction: Student wellbeing is a key component of pharmacy programmes, with most events occurring in-person through co-curricular or extra-curricular activities. With the shift to online classes due to COVID-19, many wellness events were cancelled due to social distancing limitations. However, promotion of wellbeing was considered to be of utmost importance during this time due to rising levels of stress and social isolation among students. Description: The school’s Instagram and Facebook accounts were managed by a group of the university’s faculty for six weeks. Each week, different daily wellness themes were shared and participation by followers encouraged through quizzes, polls, or reposts. The Instagram stories and posting platforms were used routinely with select posts also shared via Facebook. A new hashtag was created and promoted to encourage additional posting and community building. Video stories were also shared of faculty expressing their mental/physical health challenges and subsequent coping mechanisms during COVID-19. Results: During the last six weeks of virtual learning, 280 stories and 23 posts were shared via Instagram. Shared stories included promotion of: cardiovascular exercise, weight training, yoga, music, media, gratitude, recognition, positive thinking, coping and games. Overall, 20 different faculty and staff were involved in sharing video stories to promote wellbeing. Of the 13 posts also shared to Facebook, a total of 10,429 people were reached. Conclusion: School social media platforms can be used to regularly connect virtually during times of crises. Promoting wellness activities can help engage students and faculty/staff to ensure they are focusing on their own wellbeing. With social distance regulations for the foreseeable future, pharmacy programs should consider using social media as a wellbeing tool for both student and faculty/staff engagement

Small as well as big businesses these days are largely making use of social media platforms to enhance their visibility and to promote their brands/products/services. By interacting more with people, the marketers can easily create brand awareness and establish brand identity, which gradually can help gain trust in the brand. Two hypotheses were formulated to examine the impact of social media marketing on brand awareness and brand trust. One of the most popular social networking sites, Facebook, and two most popular e-commerce brands Amazon and Flipkart were considered to study the effect. Data was gathered from 394 students/research scholars from the University of Jammu, using a well-structured questionnaire, employing convenience sampling. Data analysis was done using statistical tools like percentages, correlation, regression etc. Results signify that though social media platforms serve as a major tool in creating awareness and building trust, these cannot solitarily help develop and grow a business.
