Abstract The phase transformation ratchetting of Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) at incomplete phase transformation cyclic loading is experimentally and theoretically investigated. To this end, two different kinds of incomplete phase transformation cyclic loading tests on NiTi wires are performed, i.e. incomplete transformation cyclic loads are respectively applied at the stages of forward martensite transformation and reverse martensite transformation. When the cyclic load of incomplete transformation is applied in the positive martensitic transformation stage, a novel phenomenon is discovered: although there is no greater stress to drive the anstenite turn to martensite, the SMAs can still gradually undergo martensite transformation and accumulation until martensite reaches saturation. The hysteretic behavior finally reaches a shakedown state where the strain-stress curve no longer changes with the number of cycles. When the cyclic load of incomplete transformation is applied in the reverse martensitic transformation stage, a similar phenomenon is obtatined. According to the analysis of the temperature evolution during the deformation process of the SMAs, combined with the relationship between the phase transformation yield stress and the temperature of SMAs, the experimental results are reasonably explained. This research is of great significance for a more comprehensive grasp of the mechanical behavior of SMAs.

Studies related to Sufi healing have focused on the theories used by Hakim abu-Abdullah Moinuddin al-Chishtiyya related to the power of unconditional love to work healing miracles. The aspects contained in his Book of Sufi Healing consequently become the starting point for the elaboration of the Al-Hikam aphorisms, the monumental work of Ibn Athaillah As-Sakandari. This study aimed to find common ground between Sufi healing and the Al-Hikam aphorisms. To find this meeting point, descriptive analysis was carried out from linguistic and cultural perspectives using Functional Systemic Linguistic theory and Ricoeur’s translation theory applied to Arabic (L1) and Bahasa Indonesia and English language text. The main qualitative data were collected from Arabic clauses in the Al-Hikam aphorisms, comprising 435 clauses with a thematic structure derived from 100 Al-Hikam aphorisms. Linguistic theory was used to examine the text in detail from both micro and macro perspectives, the former being used to examine the shift in form and meaning, and the latter to examine the ideology of translation in conveying Sufi healing in the Al-Hikam aphorisms (infinite hermeneutics in translation). The results showed that the clause structure in Arabic can be divided into three main patterns (SVCOMP/entity-oriented, VSCOMP/event-oriented, and SCOMP/verbless sentence structure). In terms of Ricoeur’s infinite hermeneutics, the position of wager was viewed from the lexical meaning of the Al-Hikam aphorisms, while the transformation stage in the model can be applied to the study of Al-Hikam aphorisms as the basis for understanding Sufi healing.

This study aims to describe the mistakes of students based on the Newman stage in solving the story problems of the One Variable Linear Equation material. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class VII-F SMP Negeri 17 Malang, consisting of 20 boys and 14 girls for the 2019/2020 school year. Research subjects 30 subjects from class VII-F students were present for analysis. Retrieval of data using written tests to obtain data about students 'mistakes in solving story questions based on Newman stages and interviews to complete the results and strengthen data about students' mistakes. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data used the source triangulation technique in the form of interviews with 3 students of class VII-F who were selected based on high, medium, and low abilities. Based on the results of the study, it appears that the mistakes made by students based on the Newman procedure, at the reading stage there were no research subjects who made mistakes. At the understanding stage there were 23 subjects who made mistakes, the transformation stage there were 30 subjects who made mistakes, the process skills stage there were 17 subjects who made mistakes and the final answer writing stage there were 29 subjects who made mistakes. The results showed that all students made four types of errors. The causative factor is that there are certain sentences in the questions that cannot be interpreted correctly, forgetting the formulas that must be used, rushing when writing formulas, not mastering the material of One Variable Linear Equations, not being thorough and in a hurry to do the problems.

AbstractA short story is one of the literary works that is not very long and generally focuses on a single event with one or two characters. This paper tries to describe the narrative structure in the story ツルの恩返し. Source of data uses short story ツルの恩返し, taken from  https://www.wasabi-jpn.com. The research approach uses structuralism especially Greimas’s actantial scheme  and the functional narrative model. The results show that the short story ツルの恩返し  formed by one functional narrative model and 6  actual schemes. The functional narrative model consists of initial situation, transformation stage (qualifying test, main test, glorifying test), and the final situation. From 6 actan schemes, there are 4 complete actantial schemes and 2 incomplete actantial schemes (actantial schemes without opponent). There are 6 acting roles that make up the short story ツルの恩返し;sender, receiver, subjects, objects,  helpers,  and opponent .
