The recent increase in the number of high-rise buildings has led to increased pressure on sprinkler piping systems. This overpressure results in the supply of large quantities of water to a small number of open sprinkler heads due to the aging of buildings or malfunctioning of sprinkler heads. This induces significant water damage during incidents such as fires, resulting in long-term restoration needs of electrical and infrastructure facilities. Therefore, this study intends to mitigate this damage by introducing an orifice in sprinkler piping systems to reduce the water pressure at sprinkler head openings. Various types of data values were calculated by increasing the pressure and simultaneously varying the orifice specifications for each type of pipe. Currently, there are no test data of this kind, rendering the obtained data useful in the design and construction of orifices for pressure reduction in sprinkler piping systems.

With the recent increase in the construction of Super-high-rise structures and large complex buildings, the risk of fires has been on the rise. As the size of the structure becomes larger, the occupants’ evacuation time becomes longer, and the required firefighting structures become more complex, resulting in an increase in casualties and property damages. In South Korea, vertical-evacuation facilities and criteria have been proposed, but there are very limited horizontal-evaluation criteria. In this regard, this study sought to investigate the horizontal-evacuation facilities and criteria in South Korea to deduce the related problems, and to conduct a comparative review with the overseas horizontal-evacuation-related criteria. The results of this study can be utilized as basic data for the establishment and revision of horizontal-evacuation criteria in South Korea in the near future.

The article presents the results of a study to evaluate the effectiveness of antiaggregant therapy on the functional status of the kidneys in 115 patients with stage II and III chronic kidney disease on the basis of a comparative study of dipyridamole and allthrombosepin. Studies have shown that long-term administration of allthrombosepin to patients has led to improved renal function.

The article presents the results of a study to assess the functional reserve of the kidneys against the background of a comparative study of antiaggregant therapy dipyridamole and allthrombosepin in 50 patients with a relatively early stage of chronic kidney disease. Studies have shown that long-term administration of allthrombosepin to patients has resulted in better maintenance of kidney functional reserves. Therefore, our research has once again confirmed that diphtheridamol, which is widely used as an antiaggregant drug in chronic kidney disease, does not lag behind the domestic raw material allthrombosepin
