Abstract While advancements in machine learning are increasing rapidly, very little progress has been made in its mass adoption despite its benefits in assistive technologies for older adults. By examining how users interact with smart technologies, characteristics of trust can be identified and enhanced to increase adoption of the next generation of assistive systems. The current study conducted a literature review to understand better how trust with autonomous systems is formed and maintained. Twenty-two pertinent articles were identified in which three themes emerged. First, people tend to forgive human errors more than errors made by machines -- meaning mistrust is exaggerated when systems make mistakes. Second, the development of trust depends on how the system solves the tasks it is assigned, for instance if a user does not believe the system acted in an “ethical way,” distrust may form and the continuation of adoption is decreased. Lastly, trust depends on the situation and the risk/reward associated with using the system, for example the trust needed to board an autonomous plane differs from that for a simple grammar correction. Taken together, the black box ideology of autonomous systems may be an issue that prevents trust in them to be formed and maintained. Promising future directions are to create machine language translators that improve transparency of autonomous system behaviors (i.e., explainability). Even if assistive technologies are created to aid older adults -- the lack of focus on understanding the factors that foster trust may dampen their actual use.

Quick Quantum Circuit Simulation (QQCS) is a software system for computing the result of a quantum circuit using a notation that derives directly from the circuit, expressed in a single input line. Quantum circuits begin with an initial quantum state of one or more qubits, which are the quantum analog to classical bits. The initial state is modified by a sequence of quantum gates, quantum machine language instructions, to get the final state. Measurements are made of the final state and displayed as a classical binary result. Measurements are postponed to the end of the circuit because a quantum state collapses when measured and produces probabilistic results, a consequence of quantum uncertainty. A circuit may be run many times on a quantum computer to refine the probabilistic result. Mathematically, quantum states are 2n -dimensional vectors over the complex number field, where n is the number of qubits. A gate is a 2n ×2n unitary matrix of complex values. Matrix multiplication models the application of a gate to a quantum state. QQCS is a mathematical rendering of each step of a quantum algorithm represented as a circuit, and as such, can present a trace of the quantum state of the circuit after each gate, compute gate equivalents for each circuit step, and perform measurements at any point in the circuit without state collapse. Output displays are in vector coefficients or Dirac bra-ket notation. It is an easy-to-use educational tool for students new to quantum computing.

A neural network model can be used effectively in predicting training accuracy using machine learning. Based on the comparison of forward and backward neural networks, coded to communicate their output in the requisite manner using machine language is the basis of the present study. With the help of students' background information, to predict the Grade Point Average (GPA) of 580 engineering students based on various parameters, including mental health. The study is based on the Boruta algorithm and the random forest methods for data preparation in the matrices (12 * 2 = 24) of single-layered, multiple-layers, and forward and reverse algorithms adopted to test the prediction and accuracy of the grade point average by analyzing histograms, confusion matrices, and regression analysis. This study suggests the best model for predictions with the help of artificial neuron network that has roughly half the number of single layers and with three hidden layers.

BACKGROUND: DNA sequence alignment is one of the most fundamental and important operation to identify which gene family may contain this sequence, pattern matching for DNA sequence has been a fundamental issue in biomedical engineering, biotechnology and health informatics. OBJECTIVE: To solve this problem, this study proposes an optimal multi pattern matching with wildcards for DNA sequence. METHODS: This proposed method packs the patterns and a sliding window of texts, and the window slides along the given packed text, matching against stored packed patterns. RESULTS: Three data sets are used to test the performance of the proposed algorithm, and the algorithm was seen to be more efficient than the competitors because its operation is close to machine language. CONCLUSIONS: Theoretical analysis and experimental results both demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods and is especially effective for the DNA sequence.

Untuk menanggulangi permasalahan tersebut, maka perlu adanya sebuah sistem informasi yangmewadahi informasi-informasi mengenai layanan pernikahan yaitu Sistem Informasi Rencana PernikahanBerbasis Web Mobile. Aplikasi Rencana Pernikahan Berbasis Web Mobile ini menggunakan HypertextPreprocessor (PHP) sebagai bahasa pemrograman, MySQL sebagai penyimpanan database, perancanganmenggunakan Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), Conceptual Data Model (CDM), Physical Data Model(PDM) serta Unified Machine Language (UML) dan metode waterfall. Data yang digunakan pada aplikasi inididapatkan melalui wawancara kepada penyedia layanan pernikahan di Kecamatan Pelaihari Kabupaten TanahLaut. Aplikasi ini dapat membantu pasangan calon pengantin mendapatkan informasi mengenai layananpernikahan, lokasi penyedia layanan pernikahan dan menentukan paket pernikahan sesuai dengan biaya yangdimilikinya serta memudahkan penyedia layanan pernikahan mempromosikan usaha mereka.
