AbstractIn this study, we detected homozygous mutations in the CYP17A1 gene (NM_000102.4:c.1053_1055delCCT; p.Leu353del; SCV001479329) in a 28-year-old female patient (46,XX) and her phenotypically female 30-year-old sister (46,XY) who had phenotypes consistent with combined 17-hydroxylase and 17,20-lyase deficiency. The phenotypes were not expected based on the location of the mutation in the CYP17A1 redox partner-binding site and a previous description of the same mutation linked with isolated 17,20-lyase deficiency.

AbstractMockina slovakensis, thought to have evolved from Epigondolella praeslovakensis, is an important species of the Norian (Upper Triassic), generally considered as the representative of the uppermost Alaunian to upper Sevatian in the Tethys. The previous description of M. slovakensis was incomplete, thus has led to some misidentifications. We thus update the description of M. slovakensis and discuss its comparisons and occurrence based on the new conodont investigations in Dolomia di Forni and the data from previous literatures. The conodont assemblage in the succession of Dolomia di Forni is dominated by M. slovakensis, along with rare M. postera and E. praeslovakensis. We described two morphotypes of M. slovakensis (morphotypes A and B), on the basis of shape of the lateral profile. These two morphotypes can also be observed in the E. praeslovakensis. Moreover, M. slovakensis is usually documented as almost monospecific conodont association in intraplatform basins, thus its paleogeographic implications are also discussed.

Abstract: A complete and detailed description of the first zoeal stage of Ogyrides occidentalis is provided. Larvae were obtained in the laboratory from a female with embryos collected in Ubatuba, State of São Paulo, Brazil. The morphological characters are compared with previous description of the close related O. alphaerostris. Despite of some similarities (number of appendages, pleonites, and setae on the majority of appendages) substantial differences were found between the two species, as the size of larvae and rostrum and segmentation of some structures (antenna exopod, first maxilliped coxa and basis). However, these differences must be interpreted carefully because larval description of O. alphaerostris was conducted before the proposed standardization for decapod larval morphology descriptions. The present larval description furnished additional information to corroborate the recent resurrection of O. occidentalis and will be useful for future comparative and ecological research.

Abstract: The objectives of this research are: (1) Development which produces teaching materials in the form of a digital physics module based on the POE2WE Model for the School Physics subject during the New Normal period. (2) To determine the learning steps of the POE2WE Model in fostering student character to face the challenges of the 21st century. The research method used is literature study. The POE2WE model has been described as feasible and effective for use in the previous description. The POE2WE model is also equipped with a Model Book making it easier for other educators to apply the model (Nana, 2019a; Nana, 2019b). At the beginning of the 2020 decade, besides continuing to prepare students to live life in the 21st century and the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, there are other challenges that need to be faced in the education sector, namely the Cocid-19 Pandemic. This has made the learning system in Indonesia almost entirely turned to online learning. Online learning can be done synchronously and asynchronously. Synchronous online learning means that educators and students interact in the learning process at the same time in different places.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) Pengembangan yang menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa modul digital fisika berbasis Model POE2WE untuk mata kuliah Fisika Sekolah di masa New Normal. Abstract Ribosome inactivating proteins (RIPs) are RNA N-glycosidases that depurinate a specific adenine residue in the conserved sarcin/ricin loop of 28S rRNA. These enzymes are widely distributed among plants and bacteria. Previously, we have described for the first time RIP genes in mosquitoes belonging to the Culicidae family. We showed that these genes are derived from a single event of horizontal gene transfer (HGT) from a prokaryotic donor. Mosquito RIP genes are evolving under purifying selection, strongly suggesting that these toxins have acquired a functional role. In this work, we show the existence of two RIP encoding genes in the genome of the whitefly Bemisia tabaci, a hemiptera species belonging to the Aleyrodidae family distantly related to mosquitoes. Contamination artifacts were ruled out analyzing three independent B. tabaci genome databases. In contrast to mosquito RIPs, whitefly genes harbor introns and according to transcriptomic evidence are transcribed and spliced. Phylogeny and the taxonomic distribution strongly support that whitefly RIP genes are derived from an independent HGT event from a plant source. These results, along with our previous description of RIPs in Diptera, suggest that the acquired genes are functional in these insects and confer some fitness advantage.

This paper focuses on the issue of ‘prosodic idiosyncrasies’ as it arises in the Bantu language Makonde [kde]. Recently, Bennett, Harizanov, & Henderson (2018) proposed ‘prosodic smothering’, whereby prosodic requirements of an outer morpheme override (i.e. ‘smother’) prosodic properties of inner morphemes. We extend their analysis to phrase-level phonology in Makonde. Previous description has established that whether a nominal modifier forms a single phonological phrase φ with the noun is an idiosyncratic property, e.g. a [noun adjective] phrase maps to 2 phonological phrases φ(n) φ(adj) while a [noun demonstrative] phrase forms a single phonological phrase φ(n dem). Prosodic smothering is seen in [noun adj dem] sequences which form a single φ(n adj dem) phonological phrase, where the adj has been ‘entrapped’ and its prosody ‘smothered’. We highlight three contributions which Makonde makes to understanding smothering: (i) smothering targets the lexical head, (ii) smothering is both inward-oriented (a morphological relation) and leftward-oriented (a linear relation), and (iii) a limited amount of outward smothering is parasitic on the presence of inward smothering. From the smothering facts in Makonde, we conclude that prosody is established at two stages: first, prosodic idiosyncrasies apply at spell-out (i.e. the mapping from syntax to phonology), followed by default prosodification which is established within the phonological module itself.

Along with the time, the rise of development in various cities in Indonesia is also increasing. This phenomenon leads to the increase of development demands in all fields, especially in developing cities. One specific place in Malang City that is under the elite settlements construction is the one that located in Tegal Rejo Street 22, Ketindang, Lawang. Based on the previous description, it is very important to implement value engineering in the construction project of Grand Sinensis Villa which is expected to bring alternatives to replace old work items as recommendations for the relevant parties, which provides benefits in the form of cost savings. In the process of budget analysis using the value engineering method, there are 4 stages that will be analyzed, namely: Information Phase, Creative Phase, Analysis Phase and Recommendation Phase. From the results of analysis using Value Engineering method, there are obtained several alternatives that can be proposed, namely: work of concrete items using floordeck with cost savings of: 30,910,797 rupiahs and the installation of water heather using GAS with cost savings of 3.230.000 rupiahs.
