Beginning with the Skyrme interaction, we study the properties of the isoscalar giant monopole resonances (ISGMR) of 132Sn. Using the finite-rank separable approximation for the particle-hole interaction, the coupling between one- and two-phonon terms in the wave functions of excited states is taken into account in very large configurational spaces. The inclusion of the phonon–phonon coupling (PPC) results in the formation of a low-energy 0+ state. The PPC inclusion leads to a fragmentation of the ISGMR strength to lower energy states and also to a higher energy tail. Using the same set of parameters, we describe the available experimental data for the ISGMR characteristics of 118,120,122,124Sn and give a prediction for 126,128,130,132Sn.

Coulomb [Formula: see text] and C4 form factors to the 5/2[Formula: see text], 7/2[Formula: see text], 9/2[Formula: see text], 9/2[Formula: see text] and 11/2[Formula: see text] states in [Formula: see text]Mg nuclei have been studied using shell model calculations. The universal sd-shell interaction A (USDA) is used for sd-shell orbits. Two models have been used to calculate core-polarization (CP) effects. These models are Coulomb Valance Tassie model (CVTM) and Bohr–Mottelson (BM) collective model. The wave functions of radial single particle matrix elements have been calculated with Skyrme interaction potential (SKX). Electron scattering factors results showed good agreement using the BM collective model comparing with the experimental data.

Hartree-Fock calculations for even-even Tin isotopes usingSkyrme density dependent effective nucleon-nucleon interaction arediscussed systematically. Skyrme interaction and the general formulafor the mean energy of a spherical nucleus are described. The chargeand matter densities with their corresponding rms radii and thenuclear skin for Sn isotopes are studied and compared with theexperimental data. The potential energy curves obtained withinclusion of the pairing force between the like nucleons in Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov approach are also discussed.

The effects of the residual interaction in the particle-particle channel on β-decay characteristics and the multi-neutron emission probabilities in the β-decay of 126,128,130,132Cd are studied within the quasiparticle random phase approximation with the Skyrme interaction. The coupling between one-and two-phonon terms in the wave functions of the low-energy 1+ states of the daughter nuclei is taken into account. It is shown that the inclusion of the spin-isospin interaction in the particle-particle channel leads to the reduction of half-lives and redistribution of one-and two-neutron emission probabilities. The competition of tensor interaction and neutron-proton pairing in the β-decay characteristics of the neutron-rich Cd isotopes is discussed.

The proton microscopic optical potential (MOP) based on Skyrme interaction has been achieved by the Green function method in the nuclear matter, and given by the local density approximation (LDA) for finite nuclei. The reaction cross-sections, elastic scattering angular distributions, analyzing powers, and spin-rotation functions are predicted by the obtained proton MOP with Skyrme interaction SkC in the mass range of target nuclei 24[Formula: see text][Formula: see text][Formula: see text]A[Formula: see text][Formula: see text][Formula: see text]209 with incident proton energy below 100[Formula: see text]MeV. These observables are further predicted for some light nuclei and actinide nuclei below 100[Formula: see text]MeV. The prediction is compared with existing experimental data. It is revealed that the obtained proton MOP based on Skyrme interaction SkC can satisfactorily describe the proton–nucleus elastic scattering.

The β-decay rates of 60Ca have been studied within a microscopic model, which is based on the Skyrme interaction T45 to construct single-particle and phonon spaces. We observe a redistribution of the Gamow–Teller strength due to the phonon-phonon coupling, considered in the model. For 60Sc, the spin-parity of the ground state is found to be 1+. We predict that the half-life of 60Ca is 0.3 ms, while the total probability of the βxn emission is 6:1%. Additionally, the random matrix theory has been applied to analyze the statistical properties of the 1+ spectrum populated in the β-decay to elucidate the obtained results.

The neutron emission of the β-decay of 74;76;78;80Ni are studied within the quasiparticle random phase approximation with the Skyrme interaction. The coupling between one- and two-phonon terms in the wave functions of the low-energy 1+ states of the daughter nuclei is taken into account. It is shown that the strength decrease of the neutronproton tensor interaction leads to the increase of the half-life and the neutron-emission probability.
