Abstract The objective of this study is to analyzes gold ownership in Indonesia related to the treatment of gold whether gold is used as a haven or diversifier investment. To determine gold as a haven or diversifier investment, the research method used is the general correlation method and cross correlation. The variables used in this study are gold price variables, investment interest rates, LQ 45, exchange rates and inflation, using data from 2018.1 to 2020.10. The results show that gold in Indonesia is more of a haven than a diversifier investment. Based on expectations of gold prices for the next year, it shows that the relationship between gold prices - interest rates and gold prices - exchange rates is a strong complementarity, while the relationship between gold prices and LQ45 is a very strong substitution or diversification.

We explore the relationship between word dissemination and frequency change for a rapidly receding feature, the relativizer whom. The success of newly emerging words has been shown to correlate with high dissemination scores. However, the reverse—a correlation of lower dissemination scores with receding features—has not been investigated. Based on two established and two newly developed measures of word dissemination—across texts, linguistic environments, registers, and topics—we show that a general correlation between dissemination and frequency does not obtain in the case of whom. Different dissemination measures diverge from each other and show internally variable developments. These can, however, be explained with reference to the specific sociolinguistic history of whom over the past 300 years. Our findings suggest that the relationship between dissemination and word success is not static, but needs to be contextualized against different stages in individual words’ life-cycles. Our study demonstrates the applicability of large-scale, quantitative measures to qualitatively informed sociolinguistic research.

Abstract Opiates are among the widely abused substances worldwide. Also, the clinical use of opioids can cause unwanted and potentially serious consequences such as developing tolerance and dependence. In this study, we simultaneously measured the changes induced after morphine dependence and naloxone-induced withdrawal syndrome on the resting state functional connectivity (rsFC) and local field potential (LFP) power in prefrontal cortex of the rat. Our results revealed that acute morphine administration significantly increased the LFP power in all frequency bands as well as the rsFC strength of the prefrontal cortex, and naloxone injection reversed this effect. In contrast, chronic morphine administration reduced neural activity and general correlation values in intrinsic signals as well as the LFP power in all frequency bands. In addicted rats, after each morphine administration, the LFP power in all frequency bands as well as the rsFC strength of the prefrontal cortex were increased and these effects were further enhanced after naloxone precipitated withdrawal syndrome. We conclude that general correlation merely reflects the field activity of the local cortices imaged.
