New approaches to assessing the “enzyme–ligand” complementarity, taking into account hydrogens, have been proposed. The approaches are based on the calculation of three-dimensional maps of the electron density of the receptor–ligand complexes. The action of complementarity factors, first proposed in this article, has been demonstrated on complexes of human dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) with ligands. We found that high complementarity is ensured by the formation of the most effective intermolecular contacts, which are provided due to predominantly paired atomic–atomic interactions, while interactions of the bifurcate and more disoriented type are minimized. An analytical docking algorithm based on the proposed receptor–ligand complementarity factors is proposed.

The article presents the idea of the universality of psychic laws, based on a comparative analysis of depth cognition results as well as the laws of quantum physics. The importance of understanding the category of “informational equivalents”, which unites both ideal and physical realities, is emphasized. The main idea of the article is to understand the integrity of the world, which consists in the unity of the laws of physics, philosophy, biology and psychology. The scientific achievements of quantum physics are complied functionally with depth psychology evidence and are specified in the article. The empirical evidence of the “black hole” presence in the human psyche, as well as theoretical substantiation of the introduction to psychology of the “complementarity principle” is represented. The problem of the remote instruction of mental substructures, which predetermines the psyche cognition in the format of the "invisible horizon" is raised.

Abstract On 26 September 2018, six American States Parties to the Rome Statute referred the Situation in Venezuela to the Office of the Prosecutor (‘OTP’) of the International Criminal Court, regarding crimes against humanity. Those States rested on Article 14 of the Rome Statute to proceed. That referral – namely, crimes committed outside the territory of the referring State(s) – was the second of its kind received by the icc in its more than 15-year working history. The otp is currently considering the referral under the so-called ‘Preliminary Examination’ stage, wherein the admissibility test is likely to be addressed within the complementarity principle, according to Article 17 of the Rome Statute. Despite the duty to exercise their criminal jurisdiction, as the Preamble to the Rome Statue stipulates, and the fact that those six American States recognize some sort of extraterritorial jurisdiction, those States remained inactive. What should the otp do when six democracies, who are able to act, do not even try to launch an investigation for crimes they have expressed concerns about, without providing an explanation for their inactivity? This article will analyse how the otp should deal with this referral in terms of the complementarity principle, having regard to the positive approach to complementarity. Accordingly, it will be argued that the Prosecutor should refrain from intervening until those States attempt to act and/or, in case of legal or factual inability, justify the referral.

Abstract Young’s double slit experiments, which represent the mystery of quantum mechanics, have been interpreted by quantum probability waves and de Broglie-Bohm’s trajectory/pilot waves. To study in detail, the double slit experiments are extended to the cross double slit experiments. We argue that an interpretation must be able to explain all of the double slit and cross double slit experiments consistently. To test the interpretations, the comprehensive double slit experiments have been performed, which challenge both the wave interpretation and the trajectory interpretation. The cross double slit experiments and comprehensive double slit experiments provide a new tool for studying the mystery of double slit, wave-particle duality, complementarity principle, wave theory and trajectory theory. In this article, we review the cross double slit experiments and comprehensive double slit experiments, and report new experiments.

The complementarity principle is a well-established concept in the field of chemistry and biology. This concept is widely studied as the lock-and-key relationship between two structures, such as enzyme and ligand interactions. These interactions are based on the overlap of electron clouds between two structures. In this study, a mathematical relation determining complementarity of intermolecular contacts in terms of overlaps of electron clouds was examined using a quantum orbital-free AlteQ method developed in-house for 64 EGFR–ligand complexes with experimentally measured binding affinity data. A very high correlation was found between the overlap of ligand and enzyme electron clouds and the calculated terms, providing a good basis for prognosis of bioactivity and for molecular docking studies.
