The age psychology of minors is considered as a factor determining the features of the preliminary investigation of criminal cases involving them. The article deals with issues related to the age psychology of minors, the object of which are the laws, patterns and trends of change in the human psyche, his behavior, life and personality throughout his life. At the same time, it is noted in the legal literature that most crimes committed by minors are due to age-related motivational specifics, committed on the basis of mischief, a misinterpreted sense of camaraderie and romance, the desire for self-affirmation, imitation of both adults and peers who enjoy authority. The behavioral basis of juvenile offenders is formed under the influence of a number of factors, knowledge of which can be important when making tactical and procedural decisions by an investigator during pre-trial proceedings in a criminal case. The behavior of adolescents is largely related to their age characteristics, which largely determine their behavior, which can be observed, including during the preliminary investigation of criminal cases involving them. Thus, knowledge of the peculiarities of age psychology can make it possible to determine the most effective measures of educational work aimed at correcting behavior, correcting and re-educating juvenile offenders. It is these goals that the legislator takes into account, establishing the specifics of the proceedings both in cases of crimes committed by minors and the regulation of investigative actions involving minor victims and witnesses. The peculiarities of the age psychology of minors must also be taken into account when choosing the tactics of investigative actions carried out with their participation, since this is one of the necessary conditions for achieving the goal of the investigative action and the preliminary investigation as a whole.

In his tragedy King Lear (1605) William Shakespeare explores the human psyche through a story of an old king who gives up his land to his two eldest daughters and finds himself forced to wander in the space of the outcasts. In his modern version of this play entitled: Lear, Edward Bond resumes Shakespeare’s analysis of space and power in the figure of a monomaniac father who raises a wall against his enemies. The division of inner-outer spaces present in Bond is further explored in Elaine Feinstein’s and the Women Theatre Group’s work: Lear’s Daughters, which immerses the audience into the early years of Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. In this contemporary prequel to Shakespeare’s play the three princesses discover the world and the space they occupy in it from their seclusion in the castle.

In this lecture, the state of the practical use of spectral analysis of EEG is analyzed in detail. The author focuses on the reasons for the slow introduction of spectral analysis into everyday practice and identifies ways to overcome this deficiency. The reason for the need to master this useful analysis technique has been substantiated. The algorithm for performing spectral analysis of EEG in practice, both at the stage of processing and at the stage of data interpretation, is presented in detail. In the lecture, the author outlined the features of the options for the spatial organization of the alpha rhythm and their relationship with the characteristics of the human psyche. One of the reasons that hinders the use of EEG spectral analysis in practice is the lag of the software of electroencephalographic computer systems of leading manufacturers from modern requirements of the time.

An ever-increasing population calls for more housing at higher densities. New Zealand is struggling to keep up with the demand for housing, and consequently, the country is experiencing a housing crisis. In addressing this demand, developer-led projects are becoming more frequent. However, the focus of developer-led construction is often on costs and profits, not its future occupants’ well-being. Many studies have shown that the physical environment, especially the quality of housing, affects the human psyche. New Zealand’s current situation offers the opportunity to alter the way housing is designed to benefit society. This design-led research portfolio informs architects and designers of human psychological needs and the importance of facilitating them through the design of housing. The study develops a framework based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs, which assists architects and designers in creating housing at higher densities, more holistically. Finally, the introduction of a specific site allows the framework to be tested and evaluated through an iterative process of architectural design in an appropriate situation; Christchurch, New Zealand.

The current paper aims to provide the venue to the spiritual insights of Ghazalian thought to be integrated into the study of Freudian psychoanalysis. The study has adopted descriptive and analytical approach to make a comparative analysis of Ghazalian concept of nafs e lawwamma and Freudian superego. Zepetnek’s (1998) theory of comparative literature has provided the guidelines for an in depth analysis of both the models. This analytical approach may lead to an alternative critical agenda for the better understanding of human psyche. Moreover, the present study emanates from the assumption that though Freudian psychoanalytic theory has provided insightful psychological considerations, equally appropriate readings will possibly result from analyzing Ghazalian theory of soul. Simultaneously, it is also hoped that the insights yielded by this research study may open new panoramas for the study of human nature.

Abstract: The emotional aspect and its relationship with the characteristics of communication politeness are important in human interaction. Various studies of these fields are widely discussed in their respective disciplines. However, the focus of discussion refers to the relationship of emotion and communication politeness specifically in the psychological and Quranic rhetorical contexts. Thus, this paper aims to examine the psychological and rhetorical perspectives of the Quran toward the emotion and communication politeness in the Quran. This qualitative study attempts to explain some of the Quranic verses on emotions and communication politeness themes from the perspectives psychology and Quranic rhetoric. The findings indicate that emotion and communication politeness themes in the Qur’an contain the psychological and Quranic rhetorical principles (such as vocabulary, sentence structure and meaning). First, the Quranic-based emotions and communication politeness displays specific emotional attachment that have an emotional impact on human psyche. Second, the Quranic-based communication politeness contain rhetorical discipline of ilm al-Ma’ani (word order) that encourages harmonious and prosperous communication. A conceptual framework of communication based on the principles of politeness and emotion was formed to illustrate this concept. This study is one of the upward research areas that tries to combine multidisciplinary- psychology and applied rhetoric Arabic-al-Quran in explaining the themes of humanity in the Quran as a guide to universal human beings.

Addressing trauma as a phenomenon which happens on the level of the human psyche and body, this article explores the impact of the interlocking nature of human lingual and bodily being in discovering a fuller possibility of interpreting and understanding woundedness. The non-transparent and problematic character of trauma calls for a hermeneutic investigation in order to gain a far-reaching insight into what happens with us and in us in traumatic experience(s). The imperative to understand the situation of affliction is an unending task which not only relies upon extant understandings but continually pro-vokes new ones. I argue that the process of healing, encompassing the spoken and bodily narrative, does not establish a secure equilibrium, but rather searches for self-restoring, healing energy and commences ever new understandings of what needs to be comprehended and healed. This article offers an examination of trauma as featured in three short stories by British authors: Rudyard Kipling, D. H. Lawrence and James Joyce, to exemplify the possibilities of literature to shed light on the intricate nature of traumatic experience. It interrogates the ways in which literature, hermeneutics and psychoanalysis meaningfully converge.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had global effects on all industries and on people around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has had repercussions both politically and economically, as well as on society and the individual, i.e., on the human psyche. Although the effects on the human psyche have been highlighted in research, the well-being of the individual in correlation with social perception have not been addressed in this context but in different situations. The review of the relevant literature has also identified a knowledge gap concerning online vs. face-to-face learning, from the perspective of psychological, pedagogical and managerial factors. The present study aims to address the relationship of well-being—social perception—academic performance during the COVID-19 pandemic on a group of students from the Faculty of Engineering in Sibiu, Romania. Three types of instruments were used to evaluate the studied characteristics: the Warwick Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS), the SKS method for generating feedback and the grid for assessing knowledge. The results showed the increase of the three parameters studied, after quarantine. The conclusions of the research are that, despite the greater variation in mood, caused by stress, anxiety and tension, the well-being of the subjects increased and the positive feedback provided increased significantly. The results lead to the formation of a positive self-image of students, which also has an impact on learning outcomes.
