Since the students themselves are responsible for their learning in the asynchronous online learning process, there needs to be a power attracting them to the online learning environment. Humor, which has an educational power, can be evaluated in this perspective. Instructional multimedia is one of the most essential components in the asynchronous online learning process because it enables students to continue their studies individually. The chapter aims at suggesting a way for designing instructional multimedia using humorous elements for asynchronous online learning. Attention, recall, feedback, and humor breaks can be listed as advantages of integrating humorous elements in instructional multimedia. For this purpose, humorous elements can be easily added to instructional multimedia for asynchronous online learning. This chapter also focuses on the question of how to integrate humorous elements into instructional multimedia and offers various recommendations for future studies within this context.

[ Development of Interactive Instructional Multimedia Autoplay Media Studio on Atomic Structure Lesson ] Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif pada materi struktur atom dengan menggunakan software Autoplay Media Studio. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru. Subjek penelitian adalah 2 orang validator (ahli materi dan ahli media), 3 orang guru kimia dan 10 orang peserta didik kelas X TLM 1. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa angket uji validitas dan angket uji praktikalitas. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan memiliki tingkat validitas oleh ahli materi sebesar 91,29% (sangat valid), ahli media sebesar 90,04% (sangat valid), dan tingkat praktikalitas oleh guru sebesar 88,92% (sangat praktis), respon peserta didik sebesar 90,15%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran kimia menggunakan multimedia interaktif Autoplay Media Studio pada materi struktur atom sudah valid dan praktis untuk dijadikan media pembelajaran alternatif di sekolah.

Multimedia learning has been widely used as a medium of learning in the classroom as its effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. However, there are still many schools unable to develop and implement it, due to the lack of knowledge and skills of teachers in developing it, the unavailability of means to implement it, and the absence of special training to develop it. This  program aims to provide training in designing and developing interactive learning multimedia for teachers at Bajangan Elementary School, Pasuruan Regency. Using the guided tutorial method which is directly guided by an expert trainer, found that the final result of the training is that the teachers are able to develop multimedia interactive learning independently in accordance with the characteristics of their field of study. The evaluation process, by visiting the school one week after the training activities and by looking at multimedia learning programs, shows that the program has been successfully developed by the teachers. Abstrak Pembelajaran multimedia telah banyak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas karena efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Namun, masih banyak sekolah yang tidak dapat mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikannya, karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru, tidak tersedianya sarana, dan tidak adanya pelatihan khusus untuk mengembangkannya. Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dalam merancang dan mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif untuk para guru di Sekolah Dasar Bajangan, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Menggunakan metode tutorial terbimbing yang dipandu langsung oleh pelatih ahli, didapati bahwa melalui pelatihan ini para guru dapat mengembangkan pembelajaran interaktif multimedia secara mandiri sesuai dengan karakteristik bidang studi mereka. Proses evaluasi, dengan mengunjungi sekolah satu minggu setelah kegiatan pelatihan dan dengan melihat program pembelajaran multimedia, menunjukkan bahwa program tersebut telah berhasil dikembangkan oleh para guru. Kata Kunci: guru, multimedia pembelajaran, pelatihan, pengembangan.

This study developed and examined an interactive multimedia learning model for higher students. Learning by using technologies such as interactive multimedia has become a trend nowadays. Researcher developed an Instructional multimedia, book and students and lecturer guidance and build learning community at Edmodo to apply this learning model. Based on the result, this learning model was affective in enhancing students’ ability especially students of teacher training and education faculty who are prospective teacher.
