AbstractThe increasing digitalization and automatization in the manufacturing industry as well as the need to learn on the job has reinforced the need for much more granular learning, which has not yet impacted the design of learning materials. In this regard, granular learning concepts require situated learning materials to support self-directed learning in the workplace in a targeted manner. Co-creation approaches offer promising opportunities to support employees in the independent design of such situated learning materials. Using an action-design research (ADR) approach, we derived requirements from co-creation concepts and practice by conducting focus group workshops in manufacturing and vocational training schools to develop design principles for a co-creation system that supports employees through the creation process of work-process-related learning material. Consequently, we formulate four design principles for the design of a collaborative learning and qualification system for manufacturing. Using an innovative mixed methods approach, we validate these design principles and design features to demonstrate the success of the developed artifact. The results provide insights regarding the design of a co-creation system to support learners in the co-creation of learning material with the consideration of cognitive load (CL). Our study contributes to research and practice by proposing novel design principles for supporting employees in peer creation processes. Furthermore, our study reveals how co-creation systems can support the collaborative development of learning materials in the work process.

This Distributed systems have evolved rapidly as the demand for independent design, and deployment ofsoftware applications has increased. It has emerged from the monolithic style of client-server architecture toservice-oriented architecture, and then to the trending microservices. Monolithic applications are difficult toupdate, maintain, and deploy as it makes the application code very complex to understand. To overcome the designand deployment challenges in monolithic applications, service oriented architecture has emerged as a style ofdecomposing the entire application into loosely coupled, scalable, and interoperable services. Though SOA hasbecome popular in the integration of multiple applications using the enterprise service bus, there are fewchallenges related to delivery, deployment, governance, and interoperability of services. Additionally, the servicesin SOA applications are tending towards monolithic in size with the increase in changing user requirements. Toovercome the design and maintenance challenges in SOA, microservices has emerged as a new architectural styleof designing applications with loose coupling, independent deployment, and scalability as key features.

Abstract Through nearly 30 years of design and implementation, Steel Catenary Risers (SCRs) have been found to have the advantages of relatively low cost and good adaptability to floating platform’s motion. SCRs have been selected as the production and export riser solution for Lingshui 17-2 (termed LS17-2) field in South China Sea, which consists of a subsea production system, a deep-draft semi-submersible, and an export riser/pipeline. This paper investigates independent design verification of deepwater SCRs for the application in South China Sea. This paper first introduces a SCR system for LS17-2 project. The field for this project is located in northern South China Sea, with water depth of 1220m to 1560m. This paper describes the design verification methodology, procedure, riser computer modelling, extreme challenges, findings, and technical discussions. The independent design verification includes riser sizing, adjacent riser interference, cathodic protection, dynamic strength analysis, Vortex-Induced Vibration (VIV) analysis, wave motion fatigue analysis, semi-submersible Vortex-Induced Motion (VIM) fatigue analysis, and riser installation. Sensitivity study was carried out to demonstrate the accuracy of the results and the robustness of the riser design. SCR designs are extremely sensitive to environmental loading and the motion characteristics of a host platform. The independent design verification shows that the riser governing location of global performance is at the riser Touch Down Point (TDP) region. Compression forces in an SCR touchdown area can be caused by extreme or survival load cases. Among the fatigue damage sources, fatigue damage contributions are dominated by wave motion, VIM and VIV. This paper finally summarizes the findings from the independent verification work. It concludes that the SCR system design for LS17-2 development meets the requirements of API 2RD design code.

In the article some aspects of introduction of the development mechanism of pre-school teachers’ pedagogical creativity are considered during continuous professional development on the basis of Regional State Budgetary Institution APE "Ryazansky Institute of educational development" and the internship platform of institute. In the article the attention is concentrated on step-by-step activity of the teacher connected with application in work with students of various methods, integrated approach and components of the esthetic-focused environment, forms of educational and organizational work in order to form at teachers the abilities of independent design of an individual educational path of pre-school children. Author's methods and Creative Puzzle technology are revealed. The conclusion is made that implementation into process of teachers’ professional development the “road map” including set of methods and technologies of stage-by-stage realization of formal, informal and non-formal forms of education creates necessary conditions for continuous improvement of pedagogical mastery, development of creative potential and professional growth.

The balance between theory and practice in architectural education is a permanent element of the discussion on teaching architecture. The article discusses the method of implementation of practical knowledge of the architectural profession at Poland’s largest department of architecture – Cracow University of Technology. Showing the subsequent stages of the education process on the way to obtaining authorization to independent design in Poland. Against this background, the didactic methods used in the initially experimental subject and now regular one taught at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Cracow together with the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland since 2018 are discussed. The results of this collaboration and the didactic effects are discussed. The experience of adapting methods for remote education in connection with the pandemic of Covid-19 is also presented. In conclusion, because of the obtained results in response to the legal changes introduced by the State, the proposed new model of professional practice is discussed which, in the coming years, will cover all architecture universities in Poland.

Due to the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and consequently, the availability of more and more IoT data sources, mechanisms for searching and integrating IoT data sources become essential to leverage all relevant data for improving processes and services. This paper presents the IoT search framework IoTCrawler. The IoTCrawler framework is not only another IoT framework, it is a system of systems which connects existing solutions to offer interoperability and to overcome data fragmentation. In addition to its domain-independent design, IoTCrawler features a layered approach, offering solutions for crawling, indexing and searching IoT data sources, while ensuring privacy and security, adaptivity and reliability. The concept is proven by addressing a list of requirements defined for searching the IoT and an extensive evaluation. In addition, real world use cases showcase the applicability of the framework and provide examples of how it can be instantiated for new scenarios.
