This chapter describes the evolution of research on social responsibility in the tourism sector until November 2017. The authors have compiled a database of 66 articles focused on the field published in academic journals. Bibliometric methods and techniques were used to describe the evolution of scientific activity, countries and active institutions, most productive authors, applied methodologies, and the main topics researched to determine the state and describe the evolution of literature in this field. Based on these analyses, possible ways are proposed for future research to advance this consolidation as a scientific discipline.

Aim.: Τo investigate the Mobbing phenomenon in the workplace, Material And Methods: We investigated the Mobbing by reviewing previous international research over mobbing. The research material was accumulated after thoroughly examining former studies and reviewing the existing literature, as it was found in the bibliography, data bases, academic libraries, academic journals and the internet. Results: Through the research we tried to define this phenomenon and at the same time to study it in the workplace. Finally, we conducted a literature review from previous research in order to investigate this phenomenon and its factors. Conclusions: The current study has concluded that mobbing sadly negatively affects the recipient by creating both direct and indirect effects on various aspects of his daily life, one of which is the workplace.

In the course of the nineteenth century, political economy shifted from a discourse printed in books and journals and directed primarily at ‘men of affairs’ to a stratified public discourse. Where argument had once appealed to ‘reason’, argument by authority now became more significant in the teaching and publications of academic economists. This chapter shows the media through which this transition was effected—clubs, societies, and associations, adult extension teaching, popular literature, the creation of examinations and professional qualifications, and, in some limited cases, certification for employment, plus the creation of specialised academic journals.

The paper summarizes experience of the authors as peer-reviewers of more than 100 manuscripts in twelve Russian and foreign academic journals on Library and Information Science in the last seven years. Prepared peer-reviews were used for making a list of the most usual critical and special comments for each manuscript that were subsequently structured for the conducted analyzes. Typical issues accompanying the peer-review process are shown. Significant differences between the results of peer-review in Russian and foreign journals are detected: although the initial quality of newly submitted manuscripts is approximately equal, the final published versions in foreign journals addressed all critical and the majority of minor reviewers’ comments, while in Russian journals more than one third of final versions were published with critical gaps. We conclude about low interest in high quality peer reviews among both authors and editors-in-chief in Russian journals. Despite the limitations of the samples, the obtained findings can be useful when evaluating the current peer-review system in Russian academic journals on Library and Information Science.

This article intends to carry out a systematic review of the literature on pricing and promotion, as variables that impact profitability in organizations. To achieve this purpose, a systematic review was performed upon the most relevant academic journals (according to Scimago and Country Rank), for the period between 2018 and 2020. The article puts into evidence the correlation between pricing and promotion, as well as the different price-promotion tactics employed by organizations (including coupons, free samples, loyalty programs, discounts and cross selling, among other practices). An array of external factors was also found that affected pricing and promotion performance, making the study more complex. Therefore, despite the correlation existing between the variables at issue, it can be concluded that the success of a price-promotion strategy does not depend exclusively upon itself, but that the results of a monetary discount can be affected by multiple environmental phenomena. Finally, the text concludes with a presentation of certain endogenous factors that can impact the results of price-promotion strategies.
