Abstract IP telephony have played an essential role during the COVID 19 pandemic lockdown. One of the issues that lower the service level of the IP telephony solutions is the inefficient bandwidth exploitation. This paper proposes a Smallerize/Zeroize (SmlZr) method to enhance bandwidth exploitation. The SmlZr method is explicitly designed for the P2P IP telephony calls over IPv6 networks. The essence concept of the proposed method is to use the unnecessary fields in the header to keep the voice media of the packet. Doing so leads to smallerize or zeroize the packet payload and, thus, enhance the bandwidth exploitation. The SmlZr method has outperformed the RTP method for all the comparison parameters. For instance, the SmlZr method shrinks the bandwidth by 25% compared to the RTP protocol. Bandwidth saving is helpful for P2P IP telephony calls because it alleviates the traffic load. Thus, improve the call capacity boosts the call clarity.

Voice over Internet Protocol (juga disebut VoIP, IP Telephony, Internet telephony atau Digital Phone) adalah teknologi yang memungkinkan percakapan suara jarak jauh melalui media internet. Data suara diubah menjadi kode digital dan dialirkan melalui jaringan yang mengirimkan paket-paket data, dan bukan lewat sirkuit analog telepon biasa. Dalam komunikasi VoIP, pemakai melakukan hubungan telepon melalui terminal yang berupa PC atau telepon biasa. Dengan bertelepon menggunakan VoIP, banyak keuntungan yang dapat diambil diantaranya adalah dari segi biaya jelas lebih murah dari tarif telepon tradisional, karena jaringan IP bersifat global. IP Phone dapat di tambah, dipindah dan di ubah. Hal ini karena VoIP dapat dipasang di sembarang ethernet dan IP address, tidak seperti telepon konvensional yang harus mempunyai port tersendiri di Sentral atau PBX (Private branch exchange). Dalam penelitian ini mengimplementasikan keterhubungan antar server menggunakan single board computer yang di install sistem operasi Elastix yang bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan prefix untuk antar server dan menggunakan beberapa codec audio. Hasil penelitian telepon menggunakan prefix dan tanpa prefix sebanyak 6 client atau 3 pasng panggilan secara bersamaan nilai packet loss tertinggi pada codec speex dengan prefix sebesar 2,34%. Nilai bandwidth  tertinggi yang digunakan adalah dengan prefix codec PCMU dengan rata-rata 82,3 Kbps dan tanpa prefix 79,3 Kbps. The paper considers a secure information transfer protocol for corporate IP-telephony system. In the article are analized the advantages and disadvantages of the known protocols. A description of the process of establishing a connection, sending text messages and voice communication in the developed protocol is given. Its practical significance and expediency of use are described.

The development of new means of telecommunications, such as IP-telephony, messengers, applications for videoconferencing, platforms for distance work with documents (for example, googleapps) and others have been promoting recently the change-over of employees to distance (remote) work. The article analyzes findings of the survey dealing with distance work. Two hypotheses were put forward for the research: 1) work from home would be more productive for many people; 2) a lot of people would assess distance work positively and would prefer it to office work. Both hypotheses were confirmed by survey findings. Another goal of the research was to identify positive and negative sides of distance work with subsequent investigation of possibilities to eliminate minuses and of impact of pluses on employees’ motivation. Recommendations for companies’ executives and HR-divisions were prepared dealing with possibility and usefulness of full and partial change-over to remote work. In view of business, change-over of employees to distance work may have the following advantages: cut costs for rent of offices; upgrade business processes and communications; introduce advanced work technologies; raise efficiency, motivation and satisfaction of employees.

This paper presents the concept of a new system of internal IP addresses proposed for use by National Research and Education Networks (NREN). Recently, various systems and services, have been actively developing, such as Wi-Fi, IP telephony, etc., for which it is necessary to ensure the security of streams, reducing the area of collisions, etc. The allocation of additional IP addresses in local networks makes it possible to realize all the abovementioned tasks and have the necessary reserve for future development. The concept is deployed in Academic Scientific Research Computer Network ofArmenia (ASNET-AM).

Komunikasi merupakan hal yang penting bagi semua manusia termasuk kegiatan dalam sekolah untuk saling bertukar informasi. VoIP atau dikenal juga dengan IP Telephony merupakan teknologi yang memanfaatkan teknologi internet untuk melakukan percakapan suara jarak jauh. Dengan adanya media internet, data suara dikonversi menjadi kode digital dan kemudian dikirim sebagai paket-paket data di dalam jaringan internet. Pada penelitian ini implementasi jaringan VoIP akan dilakukan di perusahaan XYZ untuk memudahkan berkomunikasi menggunakan jaringan lokal yang ada. Sistem VoIP yang akan dibuat prototypenya yaitu akan menggunakan Asterisk sebagai server yang nantinya akan di lakukan pada Virtual Machine Engine Google Cloud. Setiap user dapat mendaftarkan teleponnya secara mudah dengan adanya sistem ini.

This article discusses the features and specifics of IP telephony modeling on the Cisco Packet Tracer system platform. An algorithm for constructing a topology and a software code for configuring IP telephony in a data and voice network are presented. The proposed IP-telephony algorithm can be recommended for use in the training process as well as network simulation at the design stage. The development of information technology is very dynamic, in particular, actively developing computer networks, which are increasingly used for telephone conversations. Recently, there has been increased interest in IP-telephony technologies, in other words PBX, the use of which can significantly reduce the cost of telephone communication within the company. PBX (Private Branch exchange) is a system of devices that provides automatic connection and support of telephone communication between subscribers of this PBX, who use special end devices — telephones. A virtual PBX is a powerful telephone system that uses an Internet connection as opposed to standard telephone services. A standard PBX is used to transfer calls from the Internet to a public telephone switching network. Virtual PBX can be considered as a more economical version, because no equipment is involved, everything is virtual and hosted by the service provider. Currently, the open communication platform Asterisk occupies almost 85% of the open source PBX market. The Asterisk automatic telephone exchange supports both IP-telephony protocols and traditional communication lines. All basic and advanced PBX functions are supported: voice menu, call recording, call statistics, voicemail, queuing and operator distribution. Video communication is directly supported. The latest versions of Asterisk support call encryption. Asterisk has simple and well-documented interfaces for integration with other systems, making it easy to embed communications in business processes and business applications. There are a large number of various graphical tools for administering Asterisk, both paid and free, among which the most popular is the free WEB interface FreePBX.
