Kantian Hesitations around the Proper Philosophical Method

According to leading Kant scholars, in mid-1760s Kant realizes that his program for the reform of metaphysics cannot be developed by the method of conceptual analysis which he had previously considered to be more adequate than the synthetic method of the Wolffians that imitates the mathematical one. In this paper, I put into question the claim of a pre-Critical project of ‘analytical metaphysics’ by trying to show that even for the ‘pre-Critical’ Kant the proper method of metaphysics is genuinely synthetic, but the synthetic construction in question should have been prepared by a Critical and subsequent exhaustive analysis of key material-instrumental concepts of the peculiar philosophical science under question.

Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation

Weaning off mechanical ventilation (MV) is a process that ultimately ends with a patient’s liberation from the ventilator. As extubation failure worsens prognosis, every effort should be made to safely extubate the patient when the clinical condition allows it. There are several methods and techniques to assess whether a patient is ready for weaning. The clinician should choose the proper method for each patient to minimalize the risk of extubation failure. When liberation from MV is not possible, tracheostomy and transferring the patient to a long-term rehabilitation ward may be required. If this is not feasible, palliative care should be considered.

Feeling the Way to Revelation: Patterns of Doubt and Persuasion in Tibetan Buddhist Auto/biographical Treasure Narratives

In the Tibetan Buddhist Treasure (gter ma) tradition, communities cohere around the marking of certain visions as offering insight into the proper method of ritual practices, the veracity of reincarnation claims, decisions about institutional structures, assertions of lineage relationships, and most importantly for the purposes of this article, the phenomenology of Buddhist enlightenment for readers lacking such experience. There is a long and robust history of doubt around such visions and their narrative accounts. Doubters seek to debunk and disenfranchise those whose visions they dispute. This article analyzes the emotional dynamics and aesthetic charge of five exemplary visionary accounts from the 17th–20th century, with a focus on how doubts are overcome through intense positive sensory experiences within their life stories. Such narratives generate a sense of religious belonging in Tibetan Buddhist Treasure communities, beginning with the visionary him- or herself whose successful navigation of doubt is resolved by the persuasive power of intensely positive aesthetic experience.

A Novel Method for Starting of VSC-HVDC System

The voltage source converters (VSCs) are the circuits, which convert the power from one form to the other. The application of voltage source converter is vital in HVDC systems. The voltage source converter technology is employed for the smooth operation of any HVDC system. Hence, the HVDC systems based on VSC are gaining importance compared to the other HVDC systems. The starting up process of HVDC system is associated with large value of current, so a proper method of starting is required for the safe operation of the HVDC system. In this paper, a new and novel method is proposed for the smooth starting of the VSC based HVDC system, which will limit the current successfully with high speed operation. Learning Methods Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Leading Class Program in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Blingoh

Islamic religious education is very important for every individual who is Muslim. Each madrasa teaches Islamic religious education to produce good and quality graduates. In memorizing al-Qur'an, a proper method is needed so that the memorizer is not only memorized but is able to recite verses with the correct machroj. The research was carried out by field research through interviews with the teachers of Tahfidz Qur'an and the principal of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Blingoh. The research aims to determine how the learning process, the learning methods applied, and the factors that support and hinder students in carrying out the Tahfidz learning process. This can be seen from the attention and efforts of the ustadz who guide and guide students in memorizing the Qur'an. In the learning Tahfidz Qur'an, there are things that must be considered, namely arranging the intention to seek the pleasure of Allah SWT. The methods used in the Tahfidz Qur'an learning are Bin-Nadhar, talaqqi, tahfidz and murojaah. During the process of Tahfidz activities, there are supporting factors for students in the learning process, such as motivation, careful self-preparation, age factors, timing, potential for memory and intelligence as well as a comfortable place to memorize. In addition, it is a factor that hinders students from carrying out the learning process. Namely, lack of self-motivation to memorize, lack of interest in talents, commit actions that lead to sinful acts, and decreased physical health.

CLASSICAL SIGNIFICANCE AND VARIOUS ASPECTS OF BHOJANA (MEAL) AND BHĀJANA (UTENSIL) AS PER ĀYURVEDA- A CLASSICAL ANALYSIS

Food is considered to be the path of health and salvation. Desire of food, easy digestion of ingested food, proper excretion of feces, urine and flatus, lightness of body, longevity and happiness are known to be features of health. Health is dependent upon food and the food looks for proper method. In the present era, everyone wants to know only about tasty food, but people are not much aware of the rules of food preparation, rules of proper intake, and proper utensils for food intake, etc. Practicing appropriate diet-regimen, pertinent demeanor, appropriate sleep and wake up makes a person devoid of distress. In this way a vast description of salutary diet regimen is available in the treatise of Āyurveda. This paper deals with the use of utensils and methodology of food intake mentioned in Kaśyapa Saṃhitā and other Ayurvedic scriptures.

LA INVESTIGACIÓN TRASCENDENTAL DE CHARLES TAYLOR

Taylor analiza la investigación trascendental como el método propio de la filosofía en una serie de artículos tempranos. El objetivo de este artículo es doble. En primer lugar, queremos acercar al lector a las bases filosóficas del pensamiento de Taylor, exponiendo el descubrimiento y los análisis de Taylor sobre la investigación trascendental. En segundo lugar, queremos mostrar la necesidad de atender a la metodología y a las fases de esta investigación trascendental para la correcta interpretación e identificación de la filosofía de Taylor.Taylor analyzes transcendental investigation as the proper method of philosophy in a serie of early articles. The purpose of this article is double. First, we want to bring the reader closer to the philosophical foundations of Taylor's thought, exposing Taylor's discovery and analysis of transcendental investigation. Second, we want to show the need to attend to the methodology and phases of this transcendental investigation in order to achieve the correct interpretation and identification of Taylor's philosophy.

Translation Criticism of Ecological Terms in Environmentally Oriented Literary Work Baraumi Shougakkou by Miyazawa Kenji

Baraumi Shougakkou is a children’s short story written by Miyazawa Kenji, a famous writer for producing literary works covering all the natural elements in the world; humans, animals, plants, rocks, wind, clouds, light, stars, and the sun. His works have been translated into many languages, including Indonesian. However, in translating a literary work, there are several issues, one of which is translating ecological terms. It needs the proper method so that the ecological terms can be translated accurately and provide a common perception between the readers of the original work and the readers of the translated works. This study aims to analyze the translation of ecological terms in environmentally oriented work Baraumi Shougakkou by Miyazawa Kenji. This study uses literature study methods from various sources as primary and secondary references related to translation criticism. Ecology, such as flora, fauna, geography, climate, is difficult to find the equivalents in translation. Baraumi Shougakkou translation uses several Newmark translation procedures, such as literal and paraphrases, that can provide translation results that are close to the target language.

The african theology as practical theology

The purpose of this article is to show that African theology is both a practical theology as well as a speculative theology. It is a theology which was born from the perspective of finding a proper method of evangelization on the African continent. To do this, this theology went through different stages which led it to its scientific maturity. Thanks to the efforts made, this theology has provided a way to a deeper evangelization in the african cultural context. Inculturation, as one of the ways of doing theology in Africa, has become a key word in African theology. Inculturation has the advantage of frank and uncompromising dialogue between the Gospel and cultures. This dialogue subsequently allows an appropriation of the Gospel message in various african cultural backgrounds.
