(10pt) The purposes of devotion to the community activities are to develop teacher and teacher candidate ability to create research draft proposals, also Catfish cultivation using biofloc technique. Proposal making workshop activities consist of providing information, practice, and intensive consultation. Catfish cultivation activities consist of cultivation practice, marketing, and simple accountancy record, also evaluation. Based on those activities proposal making workshop was able to improve teacher and teacher candidates ability to create a quasi-experiment proposal final draft. Catfish cultivation can increase community prosperity in the COVID-19 pandemic because it could produce alternative income through the primary sector (food). Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru/ calon guru dalam membuat draft proposal penelitian quasi eksperimen dan pengenalan budidaya lele sistem bioflok. Pelaksanaan workshop pembuatan proposal dilakukan melalui pemberian informasi, praktek dan pendampingan konsultasi yang intensif. Budidaya ikan lele sistem bioflik diaksanakan melalui berbagi pendapat dan praktik budidaya yang diikuti dengan kegiatan pemasaran, pembukuan sederhana, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian dapat disimpulkan bahwa workshop/ pelatihan pembuatan proposal penelitian Quasi eksperimen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru/ calon guru dalam membuat proposal penelitian. Setelah itu, budidaya ikan lele teknik bioflok dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat karena dalam waktu + tiga bulan ikan dapat dipanen, dan dijual. Hal ini akan berdampak pada peningkatan kesejahteraan di masa pandemi yang identik dengan tingginya angka PHK. Berdadarkan hal tersebut penghasilan alternatif dapat menjadi solusi menjaga kesejahteraan ekonomi di tengah masa pandemi. Writing a Novella to Introduce Tourism Objects in Palembang

This research was aimed at knowing how to write a novella entitled “Allied” to promote several tourism destinations in Palembang. In research, the researchers used research and development (R&D) method. The researchers conducted two steps of R&D method: (1) preliminary study, which involved literature study, field study, and product drafting, and (2) model development, which were limited testing and wider testing. The researchers implemented these steps by developing the product. The data were collected from observation and interview in preliminary study step. In model development, the draft of novella regarding the language, structure of sentence, and the content of the story was revised by several experts. The novella was written in English by using Final Draft as the software of writing a story. The story was wrapped in action genre by bringing some mystery in tourism destinations in Palembang that would entertain and educate the readers at the same time. Additionally, in writing a novella entitled “Allied” there were three steps that were conducted with R&D method by Sukmadinata (2015) which the steps were linked to the sixth steps of writing a story by Grenville (2001): Getting Ideas, Choosing, Outlining, Drafting, Revising, and Editing.

The whole material of this book was scattered in many places. The writer tried to collect it to be one draft of the book in 2010. Unfortunately, the laptop in which the final draft prepared lost coincidently. It is until this pandemic covid-19 time, the writer realize that the lost final draft can be traced back from the scattered material in many different files. Although, it takes time, the book is finally can be published.For this purpose, the writer would like to express his sincere thanks to many colleagues who have given their contribution. Without mentioning each of their names, the writer believe that all the contribution will be very beneficial. To all members of the family: wife, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters the appreciation is given to them for their supporters. Hopefully, this book will be very beneficial to those, especially, the students who take the class of Modern Development in Islam.
