The article highlights the place of competitive design based on the tasks of real customers in the educational process of students of the Lviv architectural school – at the Department of Architectural Environment Design. An important component of education at the department was competitive futuristic design in the form of international and national student design seminars and competitions. The purpose of this vector is to prepare our students for the strict conditions of the need to comply with regulatory requirements in real design and at the same time teach them to experiment freely and creatively. The more complex the project task, methodology, and requirements for its implementation, and the more restrictions there are in the project, the better and more efficient the imagination should work. Participation of students in educational competitive design based on the tasks of real customers helps to educate and study them not by artisans with limited creative imagination, but by master artists and at the same time highly educated professional engineers. In the competitive projects made under real orders, special ones were those that were developed in 2021, because they were carried out taking into account the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Among them, projects for the best draft proposal of a new architectural solution and expansion of the functions of the Panorama shopping centre in Odesa stand out. These projects are valuable because they were solved not only in one aspect – by offering only typological, spatial, functional or architectural and aesthetic ideas, but by taking them syncretically all together. Teachers of the Department of Architectural Environment Design are convinced that this practice can significantly enrich the educational process because it teaches students to work in teams, use all the special knowledge acquired during their studies in the field of architecture, create without feeling barriers between educational, search, experimental, competitive and real design.

CV Budi Luhur is a company that produces onion crackers as their main product. In addition, CV Budi Luhur also produces shrimp juice crackers. The company located in Tulangan Sidoarjo is not missed also with the name of failure. For example, in onion cracker products there are problems with taste and crispness so that there is a decrease in sales. Data processing begins by disseminating questionnaires to consumers, then identifying problems using FMEA methods and conducting interviews with companies so as to provide alternatives to determine the best composition for experiments and take the best level at each pre experiment aimed at consumers to be processed in the minitab19 application and draft proposals to compare consumer interest in old compositions and new compositions. From the results of data processing by using Taguchi in the results of the mean 2 population test conducted showed an increase in taste response and humility response where the taste response got interest by 53% from the initial 18% and the humility response got an interest of 58% from the initial 23%. This shows the similarity of the draft proposal is preferred by consumers in terms of taste and humility.

Abstract For over a decade, Salvadorean grassroots movements and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) pursued legal innovations with the aim of protecting their water sources from potentially polluting industrial activities such as mining. They initially drafted bans on mining that would preclude the extractive-based development path embraced by neighbouring countries. Eventually, they scaled up their approach and devised a draft proposal for a transboundary waters treaty that addressed the challenges that the ecological materiality of international watercourses poses to national de jure sovereignty. In so doing, the transboundary watershed has become a useful heuristic, a spatial trope to which Salvadoreans have turned to substantiate their claims to sovereignty over the Lempa River waters that El Salvador shares with pro-mining Guatemala and Honduras – claims imbued with an ethics of care rooted in wartime politics and Catholic morality.

Quakers are a Protestant trend in Christianity that was formed in England during the English bourgeois revolution. The peculiarities of this direction include the fact that Quakers hold prayer meetings for communion with God not in churches, but in fact, in ordinary rooms called Quaker Meeting Houses. At present, there is practically no research on the development of space-planning solutions for Quaker meetings houses, including developments in the design of engineering equipment for such types of buildings. Information was collected and analyzed on the need to design specific premises for comfortable holding of Quaker prayer meetings. The analysis was carried out according to the following criteria: the total area of the objects of the Quaker prayer meeting; availability of basic meeting rooms; availability of auxiliary premises; necessary engineering equipment; architectural and urban planning appearance of the building (including the building facades); urban planning situation, taking into account the improvement of territories. There were developed block- layout diagrams of premises for various functional purposes, a variant of space-planning solutions of a house for holding prayer meetings of Quakers in Russia, a draft proposal for its architectural appearance, as well as options for various systems of engineering equipment of buildings to ensure high comfort requirements.

This community service program is a online training and assistance in writing action research and scientific articles for teachers which aims to increase motivation and ability to write action research and scientific articles for teachers in Bali Province. The combination of the synchronize method through the Zoom application and unsynchronized method through the WhatsApp application was carried out for two weeks involving 85 elementary, junior, and high school teachers from various regions of Bali province. Evaluation of this program is measured through few indicators: (1) success in identifying problems and themes for action research, (2) success in formulating solutions to overcome problems, (3) success in drafting action research proposals, and (4) success in compiling a draft of action research articles. The evaluation results showed that (1) 90% of participants succeeded in compiling problem identification and research themes, 80% of participants succeeded in formulating solutions to overcome problems, (3) 80% of  participants succeeded in compiling a draft proposal, and (4) 65% of participants have successfully drafted a scientific articles from their action research studies. This results indicate that online training and mentoring was quite successful in increasing teacher motivation and ability to compile action research and scientific articles.

This paper analyses India’s counter-terrorism diplomacy at the United Nations and argues that it is based on five pillars namely, normative, coercive, legal, compliance and domestic implementation, and promotion of international cooperation. The normative pillar elucidates India’s stand on de-legitimisation of terrorism, the root cause approach and sectoral versus comprehensive approach, whereas the coercive pillar divulges India’s position on counter-terrorism sanctions and the use of force. The legal measure explains India’s contribution to the development of international legal framework against terrorism through its sponsoring, co-sponsoring, draft proposal and consensus-building initiatives. Methodologically, it is based largely on the analysis of the primary archival sources, speeches of Indian delegates at the UN General Assembly, its Sixth Committee, and India’s national reports submitted to the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee and 1540 Committee. By analysing India’s counter-terrorism diplomacy at the United Nations, this paper seeks to spark a discourse among researchers working in this field with cases of India and other states as well, and pave the way for further researches on India’s counter-terrorism diplomacy at the United Nations and comparative studies with cases of other states. It concludes with observations that state sovereignty remains at the core of India’s counter-terrorism diplomacy and given the divergence of preferences of states, India’s diplomatic endeavour could not yield desired results.
