This research was aimed at knowing how to write a novella entitled “Allied” to promote several tourism destinations in Palembang. In research, the researchers used research and development (R&D) method. The researchers conducted two steps of R&D method: (1) preliminary study, which involved literature study, field study, and product drafting, and (2) model development, which were limited testing and wider testing. The researchers implemented these steps by developing the product. The data were collected from observation and interview in preliminary study step. In model development, the draft of novella regarding the language, structure of sentence, and the content of the story was revised by several experts. The novella was written in English by using Final Draft as the software of writing a story. The story was wrapped in action genre by bringing some mystery in tourism destinations in Palembang that would entertain and educate the readers at the same time. Additionally, in writing a novella entitled “Allied” there were three steps that were conducted with R&D method by Sukmadinata (2015) which the steps were linked to the sixth steps of writing a story by Grenville (2001): Getting Ideas, Choosing, Outlining, Drafting, Revising, and Editing.

This study aims to gather various information for the formulation of a conceptual model of user satisfaction e-learning Edmodo. The preliminary study conducted through literature study and field study on students of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, Indonesia. The study resulted in the integration of two models of the user acceptance technology, i.e., technology acceptance model (TAM) from Davis et al. and information system model (IS) success from DeLone & McLean. The conceptual model of Edmodo e-learning user satisfaction generated in this research is a reference for model development and policy formulation in the implementation and development of Edmodo's ongoing e-learning content in universities.

This research has intended to develop Student Work Sheet for lab activities in XI senior high school of reaction rate subject by green chemistry applied. This research was done on February until June 2012 at JHS 31 Jakarta and Chemistry Department, Mathematics and Natural Science Faculty, Universitas Negeri Jakarta.  This research used by Research and Development (R n D) method with qualitative description approach. The method consists by three parts, there are: Preliminary Study is (literature study and observed) Next, Development Phase has for evaluated and revised about trial product w Last, Experiment Phase is for knowing judgment’s student about product . Based on the final testing, it has a conclusion that Student Work Sheet has acceptable for guiding students in lab activities by contained a few of aspects , there are: content, language, presented, and green chemistry concept. <p class="apa">The Academic Knowledge Management Model of Small Schools in Thailand was created by research and development. The quantitative and qualitative data were collected via the following steps: a participatory workshop meeting, the formation of a team according to knowledge base, field study, brainstorming, group discussion, activities carried out according to knowledge, summarizing and revising the operation, organizing an exhibition to show the work results, and the creation of a website. The results showed that the subjects had knowledge of how to manage knowledge, became more academically capable, and were satisfied with knowledge management at the highest level.</p>

This research is a research and development on Arabic extensive reading materials using storybooks based on bilingual parallel text. The purposes of this research are to find out the steps in developing Arabic extensive reading materials using storybook based on bilingual parallel text for MA NU Miftahul Falah students and to find out the feasibility of the storybooks and the students responses. This research is a type of research and development. This study uses Richey and Kleins’ model but with some modifications, the stages of this research are: Planning, which is the activity of making a product plan that will be made for a specific purpose. This stage begins with a needs analysis carried out through research and literature study. Production, which is the activity of making products based on the designs that have been made. Evaluation, namely the activity of testing and assessing how high the product has met predetermined specifications. The results of the study, namely the average validity of the storybook that has been developed with all evaluation aspects is 3.49 so it is classified as valid. The evaluation results also show that the product is suitable for use, and the average value of student responses is 84.2 and is in the very good category. Further research needs to be done to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the product with a wider sample

Abstract: This reasearch was done in the form of research and development. The reason underlied the selection of the reasearch method was because the purpose of the reseacrh was to develop a valid and realiable instrument which can be used to measure the multiple-intellegences of the 4-5 years old childen. The multiple-intelligences measured were consisted of eigth dimensions, there were: verbal/linguistic intelligence, logical mathematical intelligence, visual spatial intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, bodily/kinesthetic intellgence, music/rythmic intelligence and naturalist intelligence. Based on the need in researching and developing, therefore, the study was conducted in two faces, as folowed : (1) the first face was literature research aiming to analyzed and synthesis concepts, principles, and theories. The result of the literature study was used formulte the construct of multiple intelligences, especially for the 4-5 years old children; (2) the second face was to define and to develop the valid and reliable multiple intelligences instrument for the 4-5 years old children. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode research and Development. Alasan pemilihan metode tersebut karena tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan validitas dan reliabilitas suatu instrumen yang bisa digunakan untuk mengukur kecerdasan majemuk anak usia 4-5 tahun. Kecerdasan majemuk dikur dengan delapan dimensi, yaitu: kecerdasan bahasa/verbal, kecerdasan logika matematika, kecerdasan visual, kecerdasan intrapersonal, kecerdasan interpersonal, kecerdasan gerak/kinestetik, kecerdasan musik, dan kecerdasan natural. Berdasarkan penelitian dan pengembangan, oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu: (1) tahap pertama adalah penelitian literatur yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mensintesis konsep, prinsip, dan teori. Hasil dari penelitian literatur digunakannnya rumus untuk mengkonstruksi kecerdasan majemuk. Khususnya anak usia 4-5 tahum, (2) tahap kedua yaitu mendefinisikan dan mengembangkan validitas dan reliabiltas instrumen kecerdasan majemuk untuk anak usia 4-5 tahun. In the development of the modern world, promiscuity of promiscuity with Christian teenagers. Free association is a problem that occurs in society, especially in Rembon, which causes Christian youth to move away from fellowship. The Transformation of the Gospel is very helpful for Christian youth in applying the real Christian youth lifestyle. This writing focuses on knowing how to transform the gospel into Christian youth and to reduce Christian youth who are involved in promiscuity. The approach taken is a qualitative approach involving literature study. Analysis was carried out by interactive analysis. This research shows that the transformation of the gospel can have an impact on Christian youth.

The study highlights the development of poetry learning instrument using  Smart Application Creator (SAC) 2.0 program for Android. The study belongs to a Research and Development (RnD). The initial exploration included the observation of the Indonesian Language learning instrument utilized by a number of secondary schools which are the former education institutions of the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Department (PBSI) of University of Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo. The result of observation became the underlying framework for the development of poetry learning instrument through the SAC 2.0 program for Android. The design of the learning instrument development refered to the four-D model development that consists of four stages, including define, design, develop, and disseminate. The development model was firstly developed by Thiagarajan, dkk. The findings revealed that Android-based learning instrument had yet been massively utilized for secondary schools. Most of the teachers still rely on the PowerPoint presentation which is displayed through the projector. The development of the learning instrument that refers to the 4D stages has successfully provided an innovative Android-based poetry learning instrument. The instrument has also been disseminated publicly. The new learning instrument is easy in its installation and application through Android devices.   Keywords: android, learning instrument, poetry instrument, smart application creator 2.0.   Abstrak   Penelitian ini mengangkat pengembangan media pembelajaran puisi dengan menggunakan program Smart Aplication Creator 2.0 berbasis andoid. Bentuk penelitian adalah Research and Development (RnD). Eksplorasi awal dengan pengamatan penggunaan media pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA-SMA alumni para mahasiswa Progdi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (PBSI) FKIP Universitas Veteran Bantara. Hasil pengamatan dipakai sebagai dasar pengembangan media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia khususnya puisi dengan aplikasi SAC 2.0 di android. Model pengembangan dalam merancang dan membuat media pembelajaran puisi berbasis android ini  menggunakan model pengembangan four-D models yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan) dan Dessiminate (penyebaran). Model pengembangan ini dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, dkk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis andriod di SMA belum digunakan. Guru masih menggunakan media pembelajaran power point serta proyektor saja. Proses pengembangan model media pembelajaran dilakukan sesuai 4 langkah D berhasil membuat inovasi media pembelajaran puisi berbasis adroid yang sudah diseminasikan pada publik. Model media pembelajaran ini mudah diinstal dan diaplikasikan di telepon genggam berbasis android.   Kata kunci: andriod,  media pembelajaran, media puisi, smart aplication creator 2.0.

This research makes use of Research and Development method in which a teaching model is developed to teaching grammar in the form of multiple-choice questions. It is Cohort-based Grammar Teaching Model that is developed. In the development of this teaching model, fifty students took part in. The research was conducted at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen Sukma Medan on jalan Sakti Lubis no. 80. To figure out what teaching model which the students need, questionaire was disseminated. In analyzing the available data from the instrument, questionaire inspired by Guttman Scale was made with numerous modifications in statements and questions.The analysis reveals that the participants require an intersting and fun grammar teaching model; easy to understand and more efective; quick problem-solving, time-saving  and target-oriented.  Due to this reason, eventually, Cohort-based Grammar Teaching Model is not mediocrewhere it is capable of alternating grammar problem for multiple-choice question in structure part of the TOEFL in a relative instant high result way.Keywords: Research and Development, Teaching Grammar, Multiple-choice question, Cohort

Abstract:This research and development aimed to produce reading comprehension learning module of adventure story text for grade IV elementary school. The step of research and development used in this study were: (preliminary study, (2)planning, (3) product development, (4) product validation, (5) revision 1, (6) product try out, (7) revision 2, and (8) final product. The result of expert validation of fiction prose learning 92% with very valid criteria and the result of expert validation of prose fiction appreciation 100% with very valid criteria. The module application data were obtained from teacher questionnaire responses 90% with very good criteriaand student questionnaire responses 92% with very good criteria.The effectiveness data were obtained of studet learning outcomeswere more than the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) and the average of students learning activities 90% with very active criteria. The attractiveness data wereobtained from students questionnaire responses 92% with interesting criteria. Based on the above results, the reading comprehension learning module of adventure story texts has very valid, very good, effective, and attractive criteria to use in learning at grade IV of elementary school.Keyword: Module, Reading Comprehension, Adventure Story Text, Elementary SchoolAbstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks cerita petualangan untuk siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Langkah-langkah penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) perencanaan,(3) pengembangan produk, (4) validasi produk, (5) revisi 1, (6) uji coba produk, (7) revisi 2, dan (8) produk akhir. Hasil validasi ahli pembelajaran prosa fiksi sebesar 92% dengan kriteria sangat valid dan validasi ahli apresiasi prosa fiksi sebesar 100% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Data keterterapan modul diperoleh dari angket respon guru sebesar 90% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan angket respon siswa sebesar 92% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Data keefektifan diperoleh dari hasilbelajar siswa yang lebih dari KKM dan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 90% dengan kriteria sangat aktif. Data kemenarikan diperoleh dari angket respon siswa sebesar 92% dengan kriteria menarik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, modulpembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks cerita petualangan sangat valid, sangat baik, efektif,dan menarik digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.Kata kunci: Modul, Membaca Pemahaman, Teks Cerita Petualangan, Sekolah Dasar

Indonesia with its more than 17,000 islands and its geographical location as tropical country is blessed with many marine tourism destinations such as beautiful beaches and coral reefs, coastal community culture etc., in fact tourism is ranked as 3rd highest foreign income. On the other hand Indonesian government is also committed to promote the use of environmentally friendly new and renewable energy as an alternative to the fossil fuel which highly contribute to the air pollution. In conjunction with government’s program in developing the marine tourism and in using green energy, the research is aimed to design solar powered recreational boat for tourism in Indonesia. The paper is focused on the design of the boat structure such as the hull type, the environmental friendly material for the boat hull, the arrangement of the boat that would suitable to be powered with solar energy etc. For this purpose references are obtained from literature study, experts’ opinion, and previous experiments.
