This review summarizes the current status of the application of metal halide perovskites (MHPs) as photocatalysts in organic syntheses/transformations. It is shown that the optimal and unique electronic properties of MHPs can be advantageously used in several reaction types providing pros with respect to traditional photocatalysts. While still being at infancy, such field of application of MHPs as effective photocatalysts will for sure become a central research topic in the forthcoming years, thanks also to their rich structural and chemical tunability, which may provide tailored materials for most of the envisaged organic reactions.

Hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) gases are state-of-the-art cooling agents with widespread household and industrial applications. Considering their structural benefits these fluorous feedstocks gained attention of organic chemists in the last couple of years. In this short review we summarized the existing synthetic transformations of these gaseous starting material and present their applicability in the synthesis of fluorine containing organic molecules, which have potential importance as building blocks and reagents for diverse syntheses.

Abstract: β-Amino-α,β-enones or β-enamino carbonyl compounds are versatile synthons intermediates for the construction of various bio-active heterocyclic compounds and have been established as multipurpose synthetic precursors in organic syntheses and in pharmaceutical developments. In this work, we will discuss the different synthetic routes to obtain β-Amino-α,β-enones or β-enamino carbonyl compounds, their reactions, and their utility in the construction of organic frameworks and heterocyclic ring systems. Structurally, β-amino-α,β-enones are attractive intermediates that syndicate the ambident behaviours of nucleophilicity and electrophilicity of enones simultaneously. β-amino-α,β-enones have been known as acceptors in both 1,2- and 1,4- additions, which make them good intermediate compounds for annulation to different heterocycles.
