AbstractNot surprisingly, the number of online universities continues to expand—especially in Covid-19 times. These institutions all offer “online education” with diverse institutional, technological, and pedagogical processes. However, a fundamental element has to do with the experience of the students, and how they adapt to the educational model of the online university in which they are studying. In this article, we present the main results of the case-study developed in one of the most historical and relevant virtual universities in an international context. We have explored and analysed the process of adaptation to the educational model by the student body, and their perceptions of their interactions with the pedagogical, institutional, and technological elements designed to support their learning. Qualitative and quantitative methods are used to gather and analyse the data. From 1715 students who participated in the survey and the perceptions of 30 students individually interviewed, the results show positive evaluations regarding the integration and adoption of technological competencies, and also, that the online education generally serves as a responsive model to the emergent needs of the learner. However, the results also show that students have important concerns regarding the pedagogical and institutional support provided.

This paper aims to discuss students' attitudes towards enrolling in online English postgraduate programs at Virtual universities with a special reference to the Syrian Virtual University. It would therefore highlight the benefits that students get at these virtual universities as an alternative to traditional on campus education. Several points will be unwrapped such as virtual universities being an alternative under certain circumstances, and students' perception of the educational process in terms of fulfillment.

Distance learning can expand access to education and training for both general populace and businesses since its flexible scheduling structure lessens the effects of the many time-constraints imposed by personal responsibilities and commitments. The widespread use of computers and the internet have made distance learning easier and faster, and today virtual universities deliver full curricula online. The capacity of Internet to support voice, video, text, and immersion teaching methods made earlier distinct forms of telephone, videoconferencing, radio, television, and text-based education somewhat redundant. However, many of the techniques developed and lessons learned with earlier media are used in Internet delivery.

The situation caused by SARS-CoV-2 has resulted in the intensive use of technology in all fields, including education and interactions between students. This research seeks to identify changes in the way social media have been used for educational purposes by students of teaching degrees both before and after lockdown. Based on an online survey administered to a sample of 424 students from different Spanish universities in which it has been observed how their use has generally been very similar, although significant differences have been detected according to the kind of university. In this capacity, the use of social media for academic purposes has increased in universities offering traditional classroom-based courses, while it has remained the same in virtual universities which, due to their particular idiosyncrasies, have not been directly affected.

The article reveals the phenomenon of academic mobility of students, shows its genesis, trends and flows of mobile youth during historical periods. The attention was paid to the motivational component of the process of youth integration into the global educational space. The main periods of the academic mobility of students from the medieval origins to the present are highlighted. The first Western European universities are shown by the international intellectual centers of Europe XIV-XVII, where the leading youth of those times went. It is noted that the wandering lifestyle of medieval students was a way of integrating into the world of educational space. The attention is paid to the emergence of Ukrainian youth in European universities. The data on the number of Ukrainian students, their adaptation to the new cultural and educational society is given. Names of Ukrainians, graduates of European universities that became known to the world are mentioned. The need for mobility, as moved to find a better option and learning outside of their own intellectual environment, has been traced in different historical periods. Changes in the global picture of the movement of mobile students from the late 90’s of the XX century. The attention is focused on the modern problem of immigration of progressive Ukrainian youth, the reasons for the migration of students, the main centers of their accumulation are named. The main obstacles to promoting academic mobility of students to the European and world educational communities are considered. The emergence of virtual universities as an alternative to traditional appears, which become the basis of virtual academic mobility of the present.

Today, several educational portals established by organizations to enhance web E-learning. Intelligence agent's usage is necessary to improve the system's quality and cover limitations such as face-to-face relation. In this research, after finding two main approaches in this field that are fundamental use of intelligent agents in systems design and focusing on human-based agents, second method selected and is designed and implemented in a simple way as an educational assistant to answer the students frequently asked questions. Consequently the efficiency of this method is evaluated by Expectancy confirmation-Information technology model. By examining the results of the students interacted with designed agent through the learning management system of Mehralborz institute, and the conceptual model based on e-learning effectiveness, ease of use, user satisfaction, and usefulness variables gained the scores of 55, 58 and 57 percent that represents the overall effectiveness factor is medium. Some applicative suggestions for developing intelligent agents as educational assistants are provided for virtual universities and e-learning portals.
