Supervisors, be they employed in higher education or in other industries, operate in capacities that allow them to shape organizational cultures within their departments, divisions, colleges, or broader units. Within the higher educational model, this means that supervisors are uniquely placed to counteract negative elements within the culture of academia, which historically has tended to prioritize individual competitive output, with alternative models that may offer improvements to the emotional health and well-being of higher education employees. This chapter seeks to describe the impact of stress on the health of workers, the employment stressors that are unique to higher education, and the processes by which supervisors in higher education can use their positional power to counteract said stressors and improve academic organizational cultures. The chapter includes practical suggestions for supervisors to enhance wellness and decrease emotional harm in scenarios common to the higher education workplace as identified via social media crowdsourcing.

Since the implementation of Bilingual Education in Spain, research has focused on studying ways to improve the quality of this educational model. However, although there are aspects that threaten its correct functioning and/or implementation, little has been done to find solutions to those issues. Thus, this chapter presents findings from a research conducted in Seville, Spain, and compare them to those of some current studies in different autonomous communities to conclude that some important issues that have been previously reported but have not been solved are the lack of linguistic and methodological training for the stakeholders and time for coordination or planning, and confusion regarding specific information (roles, functions, procedures, etc.), among others. Most importantly, the chapter concludes that a number of actions should be taken by the regional Board of Education and/or schools to improve the quality of the bilingual education offered in Andalusia.

Today when the remnants of a political system based on liberal values is finally breaking down all over the world and the values themselves are being subjected to purposeful profanation and relativization, an educational model based on academical freedom and development of a truly Renaissance breadth of scientific horizons – i. e. principles one would least expect to flourish in with the atmosphere of the forthcoming digital concentration camp – is gaining popularity with the pace none could have expected.. At least this is what the authors of the book in question are trying to convince us of. But despite all their efforts, reality – that is, who and why needs to rebuild the higher education system according to the model of the liberal arts and sciences – transpires before the attentive reader in all its inhuman pragmatism.

Humans have the ability to immerse into different levels of society. Due to the importance of tolerance values in this life, character education embodying tolerance values should be taught as early as possible. Home is the first school for children to understand tolerance values. However, how to teach the values of tolerance certainly requires an in-depth study. Related to this, there is an educational model that develops tolerance values, namely the unschooling education model. This is a type of the homeschooling education where children are facilitated according to their learning needs at home. Parents and adults who live with the children play as facilitators of learning, for the children do not receive education like that of formal schools. Triangulation methods are used, namely comparing sources and theories, checking the data obtained from the fieldwork, namely secondary data collection and interviews. The results of the study show that children start to learn since they were born. The adults around the children need to continue learning because children are not only the recipients of knowledge. Therefore, unschooling education model is perceived of instrumental in the internalization of tolerance values in children from the early age.

Harezmi Educational Model, a national model first piloted in 2016, is based on the inclusion of multi-disciplines, use of computational skills in the problem-solving process, development of life skills, and using robotics, coding, and game designs in learning. Teachers interested in implementing this model are expected to attend in-service training for several weeks to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The purpose of the present study is to explore how the whole process, from the training to implementation in class stages, has affected teachers’ beliefs, perceptions, and attitudes regarding teaching. Sixteen teachers participated in this study. Data came from an online survey with 11 open-ended questions and online focus group interviews. In the analysis, the recurring themes were determined through content analysis, and themes that emerged at the beginning and end were compared. The results suggested that besides developing a critical eye on their own teaching, teachers improved their collaboration skills and observed an increase in their autonomy. This study is an attempt to address a gap in the field concerning this model and how this model has the potential to contribute to the professional development of teachers.

The purpose of this research is to systematize and present the acquired in the process of personal teaching effective teaching methods and techniques, as well as meaningful conclusions in the context of the course “Computer Technology in Design” for its optimization. Research methodology. The research is based, first of all, on the author’s remarks and observations on the peculiarities of mastering by students of the speciality “Graphic Design and Advertising” of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts the functionality of graphic editors. That is, among the scientific methods in the preparation of the article were used methods of observation, experiment, comparison, classification, systematization, scientific analysis. Scientific novelty. The study has found that the current model of teaching computer science to designers focused on the study of graphic editors needs to be improved and updated in the context of current trends in computer design. Therefore, taking into account the existing shortcomings, it was proposed to optimize the training approach in four main positions: study of digital art terminology; working out of technical receptions; combination of basic artistic principles with program functionality; education of analytical qualities in students (graphic image analysis). Thus, all volume of the tasks directed on working off of technical receptions in combination with basic art bases is classified into three categories according to their maintenance: algorithmic tasks (the result is predicted); creative tasks (the result is variable, unpredictable); combined tasks (the result is variable). The practical block of tasks for studying graphic editors Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for 1–2 years students, successfully tested during the educational process during 2018–2021, is reflected in the table, and the relevant analytical conclusions are presented in the form of infographics. Conclusions. As it was proved in the course of the research, it is the accumulated teaching experience in the context of theoretical substantiation that can experimentally help to determine a quality educational model. As a result, it was possible to systematize the effective teaching methods and techniques acquired during personal teaching, to present a successfully tested set of tasks, as well as to formulate theses on optimizing the educational model in the context of the “Computer Technology in Design” course.

The process of formation of a modern architectural school in Algeria, which took place during the last third of the 19th and 20th centuries, and led to the emergence of new approaches and principles in the field of its application, is considered. The article presents the results of a historical analysis of the evolution of the educational model of Algeria in the field of architecture, which depended on the political and socio-cultural influence of the metropolis on the development of the architectural knowledge of the colonial region. The author also considers the paths along which the formation of architectural education and its formation at the beginning of the 20th century took place during the late 19th century. It is analyzed that the training of Algerian architects during the French colonization took place within the local culture, which affected the further independent direction of the development of the architectural school of Algeria. It is analyzed that the architectural education of Algeria since the signing of the Evian Agreements is associated with the nature of the activities of architects and the expectations from their preparation, a combination of artistic ability and constructive technical knowledge. The article examines the influence of modernism as a social project, reflecting the advanced social reformist ideas of its time, on the rethinking of the professional training of architects in Algeria. The contribution of the leading representatives of modernist architecture to the renewal of the artistic language of architecture in Algeria is also considered: the social attitudes of modernist architects contributed to the principled attitude towards novelty in architecture and architectural education.
