The article presents and verifies the author’s component-based methodology for developing artistic-pedagogical competency in fine arts teachers-to-be. It can be implemented in theoretical training based on the system of museum and tourism activities accorded with Ukrainian folk holidays, multimedia support and artistic-pedagogical design as factors in the optimal transformation of theoretical knowledge into practical skills, as well as students’ understanding of symbolism in arts and crafts. Also, the article presents the results drawn from the implementation of the author’s methodology in the educational process to prove its effectiveness. The analysis of the presented data indicates a pronounced tendency towards the increase in the levels of all components of artistic-pedagogical competency.

The article explains the contradictions in the Ukrainian system for developing creative abilities in preschoolers. It theoretically analyzes neuropedagogical and methodical aspects of developing creative abilities in preschoolers in painting classes. Besides, the article shows how they enhance professional training of fine arts teachers in Ukraine. It also presents and justifies the author’s set of competencies and recommendations for fine arts teachers working with preschoolers in the context of neuropedagogy and psychology of creativity. The article determines neuropedagogical and neuropsychological factors in the artistic creativity of preschoolers. It states that fine arts in preschool age act as a powerful tool for developing the child’s personality, shaping the self-concept and subjective self-identity. The international relevance of the article lies in the need: a) to disclose both destructive and transitional trends in primary school education in Ukraine to enhance its effectiveness; b) to reform the traditional system-centred education in the post-Soviet countries towards a subject-centred one.

The peculiarity of the training of future teachers of fine arts in the article is the formation of professional skills in working in the field of fine, decorative and applied arts in educational institutions and teaching fine arts. Because the quality of performance is important, if the evaluation of creative work and the criteria for it are clear, then the formation and evaluation of pedagogical competence is also a topical issue for the teacher of fine arts.

The aim of this study was to determine the examination of the researches about the use of technology by fine arts teachers. The study was conducted according to the content and citation analysis model. In this context, Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection indexes were included. In the document scanning in the WOS environment, the keywords ‘Fine arts’, ‘Teachers’ and ‘Technology’ were searched. In total, 169 documents were examined and analysed one by one. They were analysed according to year, document type, WOS content category, country, source title, organisation and citation, authors, publication language and categories. As a result of this research, the first study was conducted in 2004, while the most studies were conducted in 2016. It was concluded that the published studies had the most Proceedings papers as the document type. The area where the studies of fine arts teachers on the use of technology are mostly carried out is Education Educational Research, according to the Web of Science content category. The most researched title in the distribution according to the Source Title field is ‘International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conferences on Social Sciences and Arts.’ The university with the most studies is Kazan Federal University. The 19 authors who conducted the studies have a large number of studies in this field. It was concluded that other authors had only one study in the field. Again, when we look at the distribution of the countries and documents according to the language of writing, the country with the most studies is China and the language of the documents is English. Pasuruan is one of the cities in East Java that is very well known for its fine arts. It is unique compared to other cities in East Java, having adapted fine arts as an important part of their flourishing community. Tere have been seven art exhibitions by the Pasuruan Artists Organization or Fine Arts Teachers Community and Pasuruan Artists Association (KGSP). In every exhibition in Pasuruan Raya there are parties or institutions that are actively participating in it.
