The sociocultural conditions for the development of the higher education system: the widespread use of information technology, new means of communication, and the dynamism of processes taking place in modern society, have led to the emergence of such a direction in pedagogy as pedagogical design. This concept is borrowed from English-language literature and is defined as the direction of informatization of the educational process or the creation of some educational content of the discipline. The knowledge of pedagogical design is mainly used for the design of distance and online learning. However, it is not advisable to limit pedagogical design to designing content alone with content; its principles and approaches can be effectively transferred to the traditional learning process. The pedagogical design is aimed at making the learning process interesting, relatively easy and affordable. Accordingly, if these tasks are considered from the perspective of the educational process as a whole, then pedagogical design can effectively not only systematize the pedagogical impact in the framework of traditional lecture and practical classes, but also design teaching tools (lecture presentations, teaching aids, textbooks, etc.). The textbook as the main means of teaching in the educational process is undergoing changes. The article discusses the approaches and principles of pedagogical design used by the authors of the article when designing a textbook for university students, and also reveals the requirements for the content of a modern textbook for a university in the context of the implementation of two-level training of specialists (bachelors and masters) in a competent format. A modern textbook for a university should be a learning tool, not only setting out the subject matter of the discipline, but also ensuring the implementation of the goals and objectives of training, the continuity of the content of students' training for each level of training.

Despite studies on the lesson study experiences of English teachers have increased in Turkey in recent years, there is a need for further studies on how to integrate the model into the context. In this study, the qualitative research on the lesson study conducted with English teachers in Turkey was examined, and it was aimed to reach a synthesis to ensure the proliferation of the model. The common databases were searched with keywords, and specific inclusion criteria were used. Selected studies were scored with a checklist to be evaluated in terms of quality, and eight studies (six articles and two doctoral dissertations) that received the required score were included in the research. In the analysis, the steps of developing the first and second-order themes, interpreting, and synthesizing were followed. The common findings in the studies show that the lesson study provides significant contributions to English teachers despite the difficulties in the process. The synthesis includes the initiatives at the individual and institutional dimensions. It is concluded that the pedagogical design capacity and collaboration skills of English teachers should be strengthened at the individual dimension while administrator, mentor / facilitator support should be provided, and policy changes should be made in teacher education at the institutional dimension. We also recommended examining how the model can be adapted to Turkey's cultural-educational context, teacher autonomy, and identity.

The article is devoted to the problem of researching the creative abilities of junior schoolchildren, the specificity of the formation of which has long been central to the problems of pedagogical science, and today does not lose its relevance. This problem with the emergence of education as a specific form of human interaction, the purpose of which is to transfer the experience of previous generations. Thinking, as one of the mental processes, manifests itself in different forms. Creative thinking is defined as the ability to find solutions and analyze a problem in non-standard circumstances. Creative thinking of junior schoolchildren is an intense thought process that promotes the activation of the cognitive activity of junior schoolchildren, the manifestation of independence, the development of the ability to come to the necessary conclusions by oneself in the process of active creative search. Speaking about the current state of the national primary school, it should be noted that the pivotal place in it is still occupied by the cognitive activity of students at the level of reproductive perception and reproduction of educational material, and not creative activity based on the productive transformation of the learned knowledge and skills. The article proves the thesis that the implementation of socio-pedagogical design, as a means of forming the creative thinking of younger schoolchildren, should be based on the integration of design, research and play activities carried out in a general education school under the guidance of a teacher.

Recently, Taiwan’s higher education has been impacted by COVID-19 and the necessity of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI). In 2018, the Taiwanese government approved a roadmap for the development of a bilingual nation by 2030. This resulted in a renewed focus on EMI. However, the fluctuating surges of COVID-19 have caused university classes to shift from face-to-face to online. To assess its effectiveness, the current paper describes the quantitative and qualitative experiences and challenges associated with a blended EMI course within a private Taiwanese university. The data was collected from the students in the spring semester of 2020 (40 students) and 2021 (23 students). Overall satisfaction rate is calculated at 4.13; indicating that the transition from face-to-face to online has not affected the students’ overall satisfaction with the course. In addition, interviews and focus groups respondents pointed out the importance of a student-centered course approach and the opportunity to practice English in order to improve their competitiveness. While the flexibility offered by the blended learning approach during COVID-19 has given students more freedom to learn at their own pace. Lastly, in times of uncertainty, a careful pedagogical design will help to make the learning process fruitful and sustainable.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the transformational processes in Russian higher education aimed at restructuring the educational environment based on developmental education technologies that contribute to the formation of students' systematic thinking and abilities for self-realization in the professional sphere. Following this agenda, the change in the content of education in the Kuzbass State Agricultural Academy and the use of innovative teaching methods (business games, integrator, storytelling, pedagogical design, etc.) modify the role of the teaching staff. They initiate it as not only a translator of knowledge, but also makes it a key element in creation of prerequisites for employment of graduates and their professional implementation. Advanced training and retraining of teachers and administrative and managerial personnel of the Kuzbass State Agricultural Academy in the profile of developmental education creates conditions for the transition to "systematic thought activity pedagogy", training on its basis highly qualified specialists who are able to form their own individual trajectory of professional and career growth at the request of the employer, providing with their labor stability of the functioning of the agroeconomy of the region. The research used the system-dialectical, comparative and integrative methods.

Introduction. The introduction of a competency-based approach in Ukrainian higher education made it possible to update educational standards that define a set of general and professional competencies and learning outcomes, as well as introduce new pedagogical technologies and systems for monitoring the quality of education. Changes in the organization of digital learning largely depend on a competency-based approach. LMS Moodle is a platform that provides standard tools for implementing a competency-based approach. Purpose. To research the possibilities of LMS Moodle for the pedagogical design of the digital course and implementation of a competency-based approach in digital learning. Results. At the first stage, the summary of pedagogical design of a specific digital course built upon flip peddles on sequence is provided and a scheme is formed in which competencies, learning outcomes, and forms of assessment are defined. At the second stage, the process of designing a digital course based on the methodology of pedagogical design and tuning is researched, there an attempt is made to implement the course based on the competence approach using LMS Moodle tools of version 2.7 and version 3.3. As a result, a developed curriculum and framework are added to it, which allows observing the implementation of the learning outcomes in a convenient format. Conclusion. The results of the research show that in order to implement a competency-based approach with the use of LMS Moodle, the following requirements are essential: the scheme with linked competencies, learning outcomes, learning activities, and assessment tools. each activity has clearly indicated form, result, support methods, and estimated time. use of rubrics with all criteria aligned to learning outcomes. According to the results of the study, there are differences between LMS Moodle 2.7 and 3.3. In versions of Moodle later than 3.1, it is more convenient to analyze the achievement of learning outcomes for multiple digital courses by creating a hierarchy of competencies and learning outcomes; it is easier to conduct monitoring of the progress made towards the achievement of learning outcomes.
