The study was conducted in Iraq / Babil Governorate, and it aims to analyze the chemistry textbook for the scientific / biological sixth grade according to the learning patterns in the VARK model with the presentation of development proposals, and to achieve the goal of the research, the researchers prepared a list of learning styles in the VARK model in its initial form, and it was presented to a group of arbitrators in Chemistry science and methods of teaching it, and thus the list was formed in its final form (4) main patterns, which are: (visual learning style, auditory learning style, kinesthetic learning style, reading / written learning style), which branched out Of which (43) are subtypes, then the researchers analyzed the chemistry textbook for the sixth grade scientific / biological for the academic year (2020-2021 AD) based on the list that was prepared and the idea was approved as a unit for recording and repetition and a unit for enumeration, and the stability of the analysis was calculated with external analysts, and with researchers to achieve the goal Second, the researchers relied on the results of the first goal and development proposals were presented, as well as presented to a group of experts and specialists in the field of chemistry and methods of teaching it to ensure the safety and validity of the proposed scientific material, and the researchers adopted some statistical means, including: Cooper’s equation and the ki square equation, and the results were shown using Statistical Portfolio (SPSS) and (Microsoft Excel) program in addition to the frequencies and percentage as follows: 1. The reading / writing style of learning got the highest rate of 49.88%, while the motor learning style got the lowest rate of 3.26% . 2. In light of the results of the research, development proposals were submitted that include adding practical scientific experiments that explain the material in an easier way, as well as adding audio or video clips to develop students' senses, and using data show to illustrate pictures and smart boards . In light of the results of the research, the researchers recommended the necessity of directing the curriculum planners to the importance of learning styles and the necessity to include them in the chemistry textbook for the scientific / biological sixth grade, as it is an important stage that prepares students for the university stage and working life. To complete this study , the VARK model.

Chemistry in Quantitative Language is an invaluable guide to solving chemical equations and calculations. It provides readers with intuitive and systematic strategies to carry out the many kinds of calculations they will meet in general chemistry. Each chapter introduces the basic theories and concepts of a particular topic, focusing on relevant equations. Worked examples illuminate each type of problem, with carefully explained step-by-step solutions. Since chemistry problems can be presented in a number of ways, the examples include several versions of each question. To help students understand and retain the procedures, the solutions discuss not only what steps to carry out to reach solutions, but why. Additional problems, with answers, are included at the end of each chapter. The book is intended as a companion to a standard chemistry textbook, but can also be used on its own for review. Its primary audience is students in first-year college and university chemistry classes; it can also help in preparing for GCE Advanced Level, GRE subject test, AP Chemistry, MCAT and similar tests.

Chemistry textbooks used as learning media should contain questions that improve students' thinking processes, especially higher order thinking skills (HOTS). However, there are no criteria for assessing the questions in the textbook, especially for higher order thinking questions. This study aims to determine the HOTS aspect using the Brookhart category on questions contained in the XII grade chemistry textbook. The research method used is descriptive method of document analysis. The results showed that the average percentage of HOTS questions in the three class XII chemistry textbooks was 25.95%, covering aspects of analyzing 8.85%, creating 3.51%, reasoning and logic 8.35%, problem solving 3.71%, and creative thinking 1.53%. Meanwhile, the aspects of evaluating and making decisions are not present in each analyzed chemistry textbook. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the chemistry textbook for class XII is still dominated by questions of low-level thinking skills.

Indonesia is one of the positive countries for the corona virus (Covid-19). Experts cite several reasons for the increasing number of cases, one of which is the attitude of the public who careless about minimizing contact between people, the lack of sanctions for violations of self-quarantine, and the lack of location information that the community must avoid. The attitude of caring society, especially education actors, is certainly one of the important things that needs attention. Environmental care and responsibility are character values that need to be developed. Students can get character education through the learning process and learning resources, one of which is textbooks. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an integration of character values and what is the percentage of integration of character values in high school chemistry textbooks that have been used by teachers in learning, especially the character of environmental care and responsibility. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using the questionnaire and observation sheet instruments. The sample in this study is the class X chemistry textbook that is most often used in teaching and learning activities at SMA Negeri 2 and SMA Negeri 4 Langsa City. The results showed that there was an integration of the character values of environmental care and responsibility in the X grade chemistry textbooks used by teachers of SMA Negeri 2 and SMA Negeri 4 Kota Langsa. The integration of environmental care character values is 38%, while the responsibility character values is 63%. The integration of the character values of environmental care and responsibility in the class X chemistry textbook appears in the column project activities, student activities, content content, and evaluation.

The government has mandated that the purpose of national education is to develop the potential of students to become faithful and righteous human beings. However, the facts in the field show that the teaching materials are still far from the value of faith and piety. This study tries to implement the values of faith in the XII grade Chemistry textbook. The method used is the method of developing Islamic textbooks based on faith values. The results of this study, namely, the application of the value of faith in the XII Chemistry textbook can be done in the following steps: first, providing an introduction containing Islamic advice. Second, insert an expression of God's omnipotence. Third, to reveal the wisdom of natural creation that fosters gratitude. Fourth, correcting concepts that are contrary to Islamic teachings. Fifth, include relevant Al-Qur'an verses or hadiths. Sixth, enter information on the progress of Muslim scientists and finally link the material with the application of Islamic teachings.
