This chapter affirms that countries with enviable indicators in development, per capita income, life expectancy, cultural level, human rights, environmental care, etc. are the most affected by the pandemic. The fact that the UK, Belgium, and Spain are failing at the hands of the coronavirus and Syria, Rwanda, or Ethiopia have had hardly any (reported) infections or deaths can be justified in many ways but none of them is convincing. The author suggests that the reason could be that those three European countries have something in common: the shared frequency of the male haplogroup R1b, which in the three aforementioned cases represents over 60% of their population and is also predominant in Western Europe and (because of historical immigration) in most of America. If we put together the map of COVID-19 and the haplogroup R1b, he concludes, we can obtain the following formula: the higher the frequency of R1b, the greater incidence, proven or probable (real or potential), of COVID-19.

This research work shows that with the use of remote sensing technology it is possible to more effectively fulfill two of the purposes pursued by farmers in the field; manage crops more efficiently and include environmental care in decision-making. Specifically, remote sensing is applied in the context of precision agriculture through geographic information systems (GIS), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), multispectral sensors that capture the reflectance of the infrared band of the light spectrum (for interpretation of the biochemical state of the crop), global geopositioning systems (GPS), among others. This study limits the use of this technology to the processing of multispectral images obtained by aerial photogrammetry, and its subsequent treatment for the generation of orthoimages, the calculation of the NDVI vegetation index and the classification of land cover by clustering. Finally, the effect of classification with RGB and multispectral images is analyzed.

Formal education is generally more concerned with intellectual development. Therefore, there are still many schools that have not optimally paid attention to the character of students, one of which is the character of caring for the environment which is currently a community need in the midst of the crisis of environmental destruction. The research that will be conducted is research with a qualitative approach, descriptive method. This study aims to find out how the internalization of environmental care for students through environment-based learning at SDN Cikokol 1. Data collection techniques use observations and interviews. The results showed that the internalization of environmental care through environment-based learning at SDN Cikokol 1 had been carried out well, it could be said that the students' understanding and awareness of environmental sustainability and existing environmental conditions had increased. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded how to overcome environmental problems in the future, namely by providing education about the environment from an early age through elementary schools.

This research is a library research, with the title Cultivating Environmentally Concerned Characters through Teaching Ecological Jurisprudence in Early Childhood. This research uses library materials as the main data source, and the main references in this research are ecological and Islamic books, character education and books on early childhood. The purpose of this study is combining two materials at once, namely environmental fiqh material and its role in shaping the character of early childhood. The results showed. First, environmental damage or the current ecological crisis is not actually due to ecological succession factors. However, the damage occurred precisely because of an anthropogenic disaster by human activities. Second, in environmental fiqh it contains material that is very important to study, namely maqoshidu shari'ah, especially hifdzu al-bi'ah. Thirdly, environmental care character is very urgent, especially given to early childhood, and for now studying this section is an obligation.

Crop sustainability is essential for balancing economic development and environmental care, mainly in strong and very competitive regions in the agri-food sector, such as the Region of Murcia in Spain, considered to be the orchard of Europe, despite being a semi-arid area with an important scarcity of fresh water. In this region, farmers apply efficient techniques to minimize supplies and maximize quality and productivity; however, the effects of climate change and the degradation of significant natural environments, such as, the “Mar Menor”, the most extent saltwater lagoon of Europe, threatened by resources overexploitation, lead to the search of even better irrigation management techniques to avoid certain effects which could damage the quaternary aquifer connected to such lagoon. This paper describes the Irriman Platform, a system based on Cloud Computing techniques, which includes low-cost wireless data loggers, capable of acquiring data from a wide range of agronomic sensors, and a novel software architecture for safely storing and processing such information, making crop monitoring and irrigation management easier. The proposed platform helps agronomists to optimize irrigation procedures through a usable web-based tool which allows them to elaborate irrigation plans and to evaluate their effectiveness over crops. The system has been deployed in a large number of representative crops, located along near 50000 ha of the surface, during several phenological cycles. Results demonstrate that the system enables crop monitoring and irrigation optimization, and makes interaction between farmers and agronomists easier.

Thinking about sustainable development is increasingly necessary for the continuity of all species in the biosphere. Over time, natural resources become scarcer, enabling conflicts and wars to be generated. Thus, this study aims to show the relevance of conservation units as territories that are necessary and supported by Law 9,985/2000 for the promotion of a sustainable culture in the country. But also, the aim was to prove the relationship of conservation units with the Sustainable Development Goals, proposed by the United Nations in 2015. For this study, the bibliographic and documentary research technique was used. At the end of the analysis, we can observe that the existence of conservation units and knowledge about them stimulates economic development linked to environmental care, facilitating the maintenance of social homeostasis and ecosystems. In addition to being directly linked to the SDGs and the concern for current and future generations.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) hybrid learning on the higher order thinking skills (HOTS) of seventh grade students in global warming and their environmental care attitudes. The study was conducted using a quasi- experimental design. The participants of the study were 68 students, divided into two groups: one an experimental group (n=34) and the other a control group (n=34). HOTS test (15 multiple choices) and questionnaire (hands on activity) were designed to confirm the study’s validity and reliability. SPSS was used to analyze the data. The finding revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the experimental and the control group. The results of post-test data processing (One-Way ANOVA with =0.05) show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows that there is a significant effect of PBL hybrid learning on the higher order thinking skills of seventh grade students in global warming and their environmental care attitudes. The study is recommended to use in Indonesia’s education system after covid-19 pandemic end to increase education quality. This study showed increasing student’s environmental care awareness attitudes
