Depression is a complex psychological disorder. Although psychological counseling and traditional Western art therapy have obtained robust results in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, they are not well accepted in China due to cultural differences. Chinese flower and bird painting has been favored in China and beyond. It is of considerable significance to studying the auxiliary treatment of depression by using Chinese flower and bird painting. First of all, during observation of the painting style and works of patients with different severities of depression, such phenomena as broken strokes, roughness at the end of the painting brush, stroke discontinuity, and uneven breath are noted. These signs reflect impatience and lack of control in patients with depression. Subsequently, a three-stage Chinese flower and bird painting art therapy intervention focusing on breathing training to improve ink brush control is established, and this adjuvant art therapy was applied to 56 people with mild and moderate depression. Experimental results show that, via a 24-week Chinese flower and bird painting art therapy intervention, the observation group has a greater decline in Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD) scores than the control group ( p < .05). The study on electroencephalogram (EEG) shows that The normal rate of brain waves of the observation group in the middle and late stages of treatment and after treatment is 73%, significantly higher than 32% in the control group. This research shows that Chinese flower and bird painting can be used as a new and effective adjuvant treatment for depression in line with Chinese characteristics and is worthy of in-depth research.

Effective control of the quality and safety of livestock products is possible only with the implementation of a scientifically grounded complex of veterinary and sanitary and general economic measures. The goal of our work was to develop effective ways to sanitize clothing and footwear of workers in the livestock industry. The studies were carried out following the current methodological approaches that are used in agriculture and veterinary medicine. Based on the results of the research carried out, two methods and one device have been developed to ensure a high level of veterinary and sanitary measures in animal husbandry. It has been proven that for the sanitization of clothing of workers in the animal husbandry industry, it is effective to use a disinfectant, which includes the sodium salt of dichloroisocyanuric acid (0.09–0.36%), adipic acid (0.01–0.04%), sodium bicarbonate (0.01–0.04%), sodium carbonate (0.003–0.01%), water (99.887–99.55%) when exposed for 30 minutes. For disinfection of workers' footwear, it is advisable to use disinfectants filled with a disinfectant that contains dichlorantin (0.021–0.21%), 5,5-dimethylhydantoin (0.0164–0.164%), a dispersant (0.012–0.12%), anionic surfactants (0.005–0.05%), corrosion inhibitor (0.01–0.1%), filler (0.0356–0.356%) and water (99.9–99.0%). An innovative device for cleaning and disinfection is proposed - a shoe disinfector, which consists of a waterproof box with a bottom wider than the top, filled with a disinfectant solution, a branch pipe for removing waste solution, a brush shaft, which is fixed in the upper part of the waterproof box, an electric motor with a rotational speed 2 rev/s., Which serves as a drive shaft brush, control panel with a start button and a stop button. The proposed developments complement the existing regulations on veterinary and sanitary measures at livestock farms and complexes.

This study investigates the characteristics of helical abrasive brush filaments and aims at developing a mobile robot system to perform rust removal and polishing tasks. A finite element model that can analyze the filament deformation and force characteristics is presented. From the model, the relationships between the brushing force and other operating parameters can be predicted, which are essential for developing an autonomous brushing control system. The modeled results are compared with experimental results carried out on a specifically designed test rig, leading to considerably well converged comparisons. Many later studies can be carried out to develop optimal brush control strategies for autonomous rust removal or polishing tasks.

Flue-cured tobacco is sensitive to foliar and soil residues of off-target synthetic auxin drift. Aminocyclopyrachlor is a newly developed synthetic auxin herbicide that may be used in right-of-way applications for broadleaf weed and brush control. Aminocyclopyrachlor is considered a reduced-risk alternative in rights-of-way compared with similar compounds because of its low application rate and volatility risk. However, no research is available on the response of field-grown, flue-cured tobacco to aminocyclopyrachlor drift exposure. Research was conducted in 2009 and 2010 at the Border Belt Tobacco Research Station in Whiteville, NC, to determine the response of ‘NC 71’ flue-cured tobacco to five simulated drift rates of aminocyclopyrachlor (0.31, 1.6, 3.1, 15.7, and 31.4 g ae ha−1) and one aminopyralid (6.1 g ae ha−1) simulated drift rates applied pretransplant incorporated, pretransplant unincorporated, 3 wk after transplant, and 6 wk after transplant. All herbicide rates and application timings caused significant visual tobacco injury, ranging from slight to severe with increasing herbicide drift rates. Tobacco plant heights and fresh weights were reduced at all application timings receiving ≥ 15.7 g ha−1aminocyclopyrachlor and the comparative aminopyralid rate.
