In a literary work, two characters can be narrated as the attention center that contains the cultural identity from certain generation. Meanwhile, a symbol actually can cause an interaction within characters. This research discusses about cultural identity and symbolic interactionism reflected in a novel. There is a novel entitled “Recipe for a Perfect Wife” by Karma Brown that tells about two female characters that are represented as a housewife from different generation. This research uses descriptive qualitative as the research methodology and content  analysis as the method in analyzing the object of the research, a novel entitled “Recipe for a Perfect Wife”. This research also uses the intrinsic approach to analyze the characterization, plot, and setting. This research reveals two kinds of a housewife. They are a housewife and working woman, and a full-housewife. This research finds five cultural identities in the past and present time that is related with a housewife reflected by two female characters in the novel by using cultural identity theory by Stuart Hall. This research also reveals the symbol and memory even three concepts of symbolic interactionism that is mind, self, and society based on symbolic interactionism theory by George Herbert Mead.

The results showed that individual PASPAMPRES personnel have thoughts and self-assessment of quality and are superior, have a favorable opportunity for promotion compared to other unit personnel. This study aims to determine how the formation of self-concept in the personnel of the PASPAMPRES unit based on the situation and facts where PASPAMPRES is an elite unit containing selected and qualified soldiers who have certain skills and privileges to be able to carry out Presidential VVIP security duties. A strict personnel admission selection where not all TNI soldiers can pass and have the desired qualifications make PASPAMPRES personnel called superior and elected personnel. The reason this research was conducted was to find out how this situation had its own impact on the self-concept of the selected PASPAMPRES personnel. The theory used is the Symbolic Interactionism theory by George Herbert Mead, Self-Concept and Group Thought Theory. This research methodology uses a constructivism paradigm with a qualitative approach and data collection techniques using interviews. The focus of this research focuses on how the mind, self, and society as well as the climate of the PASPAMPRES unit can influence the formation of personnel self-concept.

Este ensaio tem por tema central os processos de socialização e de individuação em George Herbert Mead. Trata-se de um texto teórico e hermenêutico, com fins propedêuticos, ligado ao campo da filosofia da educação. O objetivo consiste em discutir como Mead, em seus escritos, compreende e descreve os processos de formação dos sujeitos sociais, e quais as possíveis correlações desses processos com a capacidade de viver em comunidade, sob a égide da ética e da democracia. No texto, argumenta-se que o processo de formação do self remete à socialização individuadora, e que a emergência da consciência do ‘si mesmo’ somente é possível por meio da interação e da participação efetiva na vida da comunidade. Por isso, é possível ponderar que a incapacidade de pensar e agir desde uma perspectiva social representa um déficit formativo, de reponsabilidade do próprio indivíduo e também da sociedade.

This essay is a critical review of recent collections of articles by friends and colleagues of Thomas Szasz. Apart from the usual misunderstandings and wilful misinterpretations of Szasz's social psychology generally and critique of mental illness specifically, his friends and colleagues add a new dimension to Szaszian criticism by damning him with faint praise. Ignoring his indebtedness to social psychologist, George Herbert Mead, they interpret his work as an ideological defence of libertarianism, rather than as a logical critique of mental illness. A defence is, therefore, especially indicated.

Penelitian yang berjudul Implementasi Transformasi Branding Kota Cimahi sebagai Creative city bertujuan mengetahui implementasi kampanye yang dilakukan Pemkot Cimahi kampanye perubahan merek Creative and Cyber (C4) menjadi Creative city dengan program pengembangan ekonomi lokal (PEL). Penelitian ini mengkaji proses pembangunan makna yang melibatkan interaksi sosial Pemkot Cimahi dan target audiens dalam perubahan merek Kota Cimahi sebagai Creative city. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan paradigma konstruktivis, dan jenis studi kasus. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik dari George Herbert Mead. Subjek penelitiannya adalah PNS Pemkot Cimahi serta wirausahawan yang tergabung di komunitas kewirausahaan di Cimahi yang dipilih dengan teknik sampling purposif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan pasif, dan kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dalam upaya menciptakan makna bersama Cimahi sebagai Creative city antara Pemkot Cimahi dan target audiens dibutuhkan sosialisasi Pemkot Cimahi kepada target audiensnya yaitu wirausahawan sebagai target utama dan masyarakat umum sebagai target kedua dengan menggunakan berbagai jenis pola komunikasi diantaranya pola komunikasi interpersonal antara Pemkot Cimahi dengan individu wirausaha di Cimahi serta masyarakat umum adalah dengan melaksanakan Forum Temu Usaha yaitu sebuah seminar dan workshop yang menghadirkan berbagai pakar wirausaha yang diundang oleh Pemkot Cimahi serta komunitas wirausaha Cimahi diantaranya Cimahi Creative Association (CCA) yang bergerak di bidang teknologi animasi, Ikatan Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia (IWAPI) regional Cimahi, Komunitas Kewirausahawan Muda Cimahi (KWACI). Pola komunikasi organisasi yang dilakukan pemerintah kepada komunitas wirausaha dengan menggunakan media sosial, selain itu pola komunikasi organisasi pun dilakukan dengan menggunakan media luar ruang seperti poster yang ditempel di tempat-tempat pertemuan komunitas wirausaha dan mading Pemkot Cimahi, menyelenggarakan pameran kewirausahaan, membuat gerakan “Cinta Produk Lokal Cimahi”, membuat website PEL, promosi menggunakan media sosial seperti Facebook serta, melaksanakan Forum Group Discussion Sementara pola komunikasi massa yang dilakukan oleh Pemkot Cimahi kepada masyarakat umum untuk mensosialisasikan perubahan merek Kota Cimahi yaitu dengan mengundang jurnalis untuk peliputan dan penayangan di TV nasional maupun lokal, memasang iklan di TVRI, dan menyelenggarakan Talkshow anggota PEL menayangkan TVRI, dan membuat buku profil komunitas wirausaha Cimahi

Abstract. Information technology is constantly changing in the torrent of the times. Big data, Internet of Things, cloud computing and other technologies continue to break through their own barriers, strengthen the mutual integration between technology and education, and slowly fill the gap between artificial intelligence technology and education. Gradually realized education informatization and technology. In 2018, the State Council issued “China Education Informatization 2035”, “Education Informatization 2.0 Action Plan” and other documents, all of which are guiding, supporting and encouraging my country to realize the wisdom of education. The term role was first introduced by the American social psychologist George Herbert Mead to analyze that what is individuals should behave in different situations. This article takes artificial intelligence as the starting point and school education as the background, by analyzing the changes of artificial intelligence for education and the differences between traditional education, which will deepen the thinking and understanding of artificial intelligence and the professional roles of teachers.
