Gemological Characteristic Difference between Colorless CVD Synthetic Diamonds and Natural Diamonds

CVD synthetic diamond plays an important role in the jewelry market due to its excellent performance and low cost. In this paper, colorless CVD synthetic diamonds produced by a Chinese company were investigated in detail with their gemological, spectroscopic, and luminescent properties compared with natural colorless diamonds. Compared with natural diamonds, CVD synthetic diamonds have high-order interference color and more apparent abnormal birefringence. The results of infrared spectra indicate that all the CVD samples are classified as type IIa, while the natural samples belong to type Ia. The CVD samples show lamellar growth and mottled luminescence pattern and have blue, orange red, purple red, and blue fluorescence, respectively, while most of the natural samples show blue fluorescence. CVD diamonds show lamellar growth structure, and natural diamonds show irregular ring-like growth structure. Thus, multiple methods combined with analysis are required to distinguish synthetic diamonds from natural diamonds. This work provides an experimental basis for the identification of CVD synthetic diamonds.

Direction of India’s rice exports in the post-Iiberalization era

Rice continues to play an important role in the national exports of India. It accounts for 2.1 percent of India’s overall export earnings and accounted for 18.3 percent of agriculture and allied products exports. India ranks first in the export of rice in the world. The increased demand for rice on the world market is providing a magnificent environment for this. The country observed remarkable increase after the new economic policy. The present study attempted to examine the pattern of growth, structure, instability and concentration of India’s rice exports to different destinations.

Global Hölder continuity of solutions to quasilinear equations with Morrey data

We deal with general quasilinear divergence-form coercive operators whose prototype is the [Formula: see text]-Laplacean operator. The nonlinear terms are given by Carathéodory functions and satisfy controlled growth structure conditions with data belonging to suitable Morrey spaces. The fairly non-regular boundary of the underlying domain is supposed to satisfy a capacity density condition which allows domains with exterior corkscrew property. We prove global boundedness and Hölder continuity up to the boundary for the weak solutions of such equations, generalizing this way the classical [Formula: see text]-result of Ladyzhenskaya and Ural’tseva to the settings of the Morrey spaces.
