In modern scientific literature there are quite a lot of critical assessments of the processes and phenomena that took place in the Soviet times. However, there is still insufficient research on the regional component. Certain issues concerning the development of the region’s industry in the period under review were dealt with in the Soviet times by Kh.G. Gimadi, M.K. Mukharyamov, Kh.Kh. Khasanov, N.A. Andrianov, in the modern period – I.A. Gataullina, O.G. Kolomyts and others. The task of the presented study is to eliminate the gap in describing formation of the Soviet economy of the Tatar ASSR (until 1920 – part of the territory belonged to Kazan governorate). In this regard, the purpose of this article is to study the indicators of industrial development in the Tatar Republic in the post-October period, including the new economic policy. The methodology of the article is based on the problem-chronological approach and scientific knowledge. The analysis of scientific literature and archival information was the basis to form a general picture of the problem under consideration. The events of the post-October period became a real tragedy for the new Soviet economy. Crisis of under-production was observed in the industrial sector, when the economy could not meet even the minimum demands of the population, the indicators of industrial production, starting from the post-October period, decreased annually. Using the example of the region, general economic problems typical for all the territories of Soviet Russia are shown, but problems peculiar only to the republic are also highlighted. This situation could not but cause anxiety of the Soviet authorities. Prolongation of crisis phenomena in the industrial sector of the economy threatened by the development of not only economic, but also political problems associated with the growth of social discontent. Further measures taken by the Soviet government made it possible to reverse the negative trend in the development of the republican industry. From the perspective of the past time, it can be noted that in fact this period was a turning point in modernization processes of the country and the region. It seems to us that the economy, which was fluctuating between downward and upward development trends for a long time, chose the second option. The stage of the still slow, but gaining momentum process of activating the country’s industrial potential began.

Aim. To analyze COVID-19 comorbidities and their impact on disease course and the risk for unfavorable outcomes. Methods. This study examined a group of 110 patients aged 32 to 97 who were admitted to the intensive care unit of the Pskov Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital in the period from October 7, 2020 to March 23, 2021. The mean age of patients was 65 years, 51% (56 people) were male. The study recorded age, comorbidities on a binary scale (yes no), course of the disease, the degree of lung injury, hospital length of stay, treatment outcome. The impact of comorbidities on the disease severity and outcomes was assessed by using logistic regression analysis. Results. It was shown that a regional sample of patients showed an increased hospital mortality rate compared with the data of the ACTIV registry (33.5 versus 7.6%). Chronic respiratory diseases in patients with COVID-19 regional cohorts affected the fatal outcome 2.7 times less than those registered in the Russian register. The presence of endocrine and thrombotic circulatory system diseases was generally close to the register. Concomitant cardiovascular diseases in patients of the regional cohort affected the mortality of COVID-19 outcomes two times less (in patients of the region, the risk of mortality increased by 2.066 times) than in the registry. The reliability of the conclusions is confirmed by testing statistical hypotheses and reliability coefficients below 5%. Conclusion. The study shows the statistically significant effect of comorbidities on the COVID-19 outcomes; the specificity of the results related to the sampling characteristics and the regional component.

The goal is to consider, in the context of the romanticism aesthetics, the type of reflection of the images of the Caucasus by composers of the 19th century in Western Europe without an appeal to the "alien word" and the use of ethnic language elements. Two piano pieces "Circassian March" by the Austrian composer Johann Strauss (son), "Circassian Song" by the German composer Jean Vogt and the play by Alfred Lebeau for harmonium (organ) "Circassian March" are introduced into scientific use. The use of a context approach and musicological tools of analysis allows us to identify significant features of musical poetics of compositions. The author concludes that Western European composers convey foreign imagery through a conditional generalized poetic embodiment of the Caucasus theme. Theoretical significance lies in the study of the work of European composers, including the "second row", but very significant in identifying the attitude to the Adyghe (Circassian) topic in the culture of Europe of the 19th century and understanding the specifics of reflecting this topic in the work of composers of other musical cultures. Practical significance - in the possibility of supplementing the content of disciplines of the national-regional component of educational programs of universities of culture and art.
