In March 2020, an outbreak of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 occurred in Russia. During a pandemic, patients do not always have the opportunity to receive full-time medical care. It became necessary to choose other methods of communication "doctor-patient" to solve the problems associated with the need to maintain the availability of medical care for patients with IBD. The progressive nature of the course of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease in some cases requires careful monitoring of the patient's condition. During a pandemic, doctors are advised to make wider use of the telemedicine resource. The article presents options for using distance counseling methods during the period of coronavirus restrictions

This article focuses on the distant blood pressure monitoring for patients with arterial hypertension. As numerous studies show, even slightly elevated blood pressure significantly raises the risk of cardiovascular complications. And, vice versa, a 5 mmHg decrease in blood pressure reduces the lethality risk. Therefore, it is not enough to prescribe the right medication but also it is of paramount importance to monitor patients’ compliance with the treatment. Clinical observation of patients with arterial hypertension is an effective tool for the prevention of cardiovascular complications. However, to date, the coverage of follow-up and the achievement of blood pressure targets in patients with arterial hypertension is one of the most problematic aspects. Distance monitoring of blood pressure opens more opportunities for the doctor’s involvement, timely assessment and adjustment of the medication. The results of domestic and foreign research show high efficacy of the distance blood pressure monitoring. Positive results regarding the achievement of target blood pressure after 3 months are shown when using the technology of blood pressure monitoring and distance counseling of patients with arterial hypertension. In particular, the article considers the technology of mobile health care (mHealth), which is a more flexible platform for a patient’s continuous self-care.

The feasibility assessment by the material expert obtained an average score of 4.70. When converted into a percentage, the figure is 94%, so this product is included in the category of interpretation of "Very Appropriate" and effective. The feasibility assessment by 36 students obtained an average score of 4.65. When converted into a percentage, the figure is 93%, so this product is included in the category of interpretation of "Very Appropriate" and effective.

The new coronavirus infection pandemic has certainly changed all spheres of human activity, the healthcare system was completely transformed and reassignment in a short time. The built model of a personalized approach to each patient was replaced by the provision of health services to groups of patients with similar symptoms of the disease and severity, and conditions not associated with coronavirus infection, anyway, took a back seat. Since the announcement of the COVID-19 pandemic, the main human and material resources have been directed at combating the new infection. To date, almost every country has cases of coronavirus infection. The planned surgical care was temporarily stopped, what could not but affect the outcomes of diseases. A special category of patients is represented by patients with diagnosed malignant neoplasms, the delay in treatment of which can significantly reduce the life expectancy and/or quality of life. The current state of the problem served as a catalyst for the development of telemedicine technologies, which simplified communication in the patient-physician and physician-physician relationship. Urinary tract infections are one of the most common reasons for visiting a urologist, which implies the prescription of antibacterial drugs. However, in a pandemic, remote prescription of these drugs is limited by the lack of face-to-face specialist consultations. This enabled make it possible to use drugs based on bacteriophages. Patient management problems were solved by using distance counseling techniques. In this article we present an algorithm for providing urological and oncourological care to patients in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as an overview of the existing world practice in the implementation of telemedicine consultations in the current epidemiological situation.

Introduction: SIN-E-STRES is an adjunct Internet-based intervention for patients with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Patients interact with the program via a weekly monitoring email and by visiting a website that provides access to psychoeducational information and distance counseling. Aim: to evaluate the acceptability and feasibility of SIN-E-STRES. Methods: forty-five adult PTSD patients were registered to use SIN-E-STRES for three months. This study explores feasibility in terms of patients’ interest in joining the program, reported connectivity and use of the website components, and adherence to monitoring. Acceptability is evaluated through the satisfaction expressed by the participants, their opinions regarding the usefulness of the program, and their evaluation of its positive and negative aspects. Results: most of the patients invited to the program were interested in using SIN-E-STRES, and 73% of the registered patients completed at least one of the monitoring assessments and most of them interacted with the website. The overall monitoring response rate was 35%. Most patients stated that the feedback messages helped them remember themes covered in therapy, they also valued the psychoeducational resources on the website. Conclusions: The program may be especially useful for patients who are frequent Internet and email users. The intervention can be enhanced by improving the monitoring and feedback components as well as by adding complementary psychoeducational information. More research about adherence and dropout of PTSD interventions is necessary. The alignment and coherence of SIN-E-STRES with the main treatment contributes to reinforcing treatment indications and consequently may promote treatment adherence and recovery.
