The planar scintigraphic image usually has poor resolution and contains noise. This noise can be removed using the coiflet wavelet method so that the image quality gets better. This coiflet wavelet method is a noise reduction method based on frequency analysis. The planar scintigraphy image is the reconstructed image of the gamma radiation count data (phantom with the Cs-137 source in it). The original image is 15×15 pixel. Before the de-noising process, the image went through an interpolation process, which is to increase the pixel size of the image. The original image enlarged to 70×70, 480×480, and 1200×1200 pixel. After de-noising with coiflet wavelet, the image quality is measured based on MSE and PSNR parameters. The resulting images are quite good, with MSE values are close to zero and PSNR values of more than 60 dB. The smaller the MSE and the bigger the PSNR, is getting the better the image quality. In this study, the results show that the 1200×1200 pixel image has the best quality. It means that the image enlargement process has a good effect on the de-noising process, especially if the original image has a low resolution.

AbstractThe surface area of a set which is only observed as a binary pixel image is often estimated by a weighted sum of pixel configurations counts. In this paper we examine these estimators in a design based setting—we assume that the observed set is shifted uniformly randomly. Bounds for the difference between the essential supremum and the essential infimum of such an estimator are derived, which imply that the variance is in $$O(t^2)$$ O ( t 2 ) as the lattice distance t tends to zero. In particular, it is asymptotically neglectable compared to the bias. A simulation study shows that the theoretically derived convergence order is optimal in general, but further improvements are possible in special cases.

AbstractVarious large-area growth methods for two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides have been developed recently for future electronic and photonic applications. However, they have not yet been employed for synthesizing active pixel image sensors. Here, we report on an active pixel image sensor array with a bilayer MoS2 film prepared via a two-step large-area growth method. The active pixel of image sensor is composed of 2D MoS2 switching transistors and 2D MoS2 phototransistors. The maximum photoresponsivity (Rph) of the bilayer MoS2 phototransistors in an 8 × 8 active pixel image sensor array is statistically measured as high as 119.16 A W−1. With the aid of computational modeling, we find that the main mechanism for the high Rph of the bilayer MoS2 phototransistor is a photo-gating effect by the holes trapped at subgap states. The image-sensing characteristics of the bilayer MoS2 active pixel image sensor array are successfully investigated using light stencil projection.

AbstractThe trigonometric levelling using the simultaneous reciprocal method has been proved to meet the precision of second order levelling. But this method is invalid once the distance of river crossing is beyond 3.5 km due to the difficulty of target recognition at such a long distance. To expand the available range of this method, this paper focuses on solving the target aiming and distance observation over a long distance. A modular LED 5-prism (modified Leica GPR1 reflector) as an illuminated target instead of the common prism is introduced, and we adopt the sub-pixel image processing technique to recognize the center of the target image pictured by image assisted total station (Leica Nova TM50 I equipped with a coaxial camera). Based on the principle of precise trigonometric levelling, this paper utilizes two image assisted total stations using image processing technique to perform simultaneous reciprocal for zenith angle measurement and GNSS static measurement for slope distance measurement to determine the height difference of either river bank. And long-distance precise river-crossing levelling can be realized based on the mentioned above. Besides, it is successful to apply in the experiment of Fuzhou Bridge spanning 6.3 km in China. The result shows the standard deviation is ± 0.76 mm/km that is compatible with the precision of second order levelling has.
