Hardware-accelerated cloud computing systems based on FPGA chips (FPGA cloud) or ASIC chips (ASIC cloud) have emerged as a new technology trend for power-efficient acceleration of various software applications. However, the operating systems and hypervisors currently used in cloud computing will lead to power, performance, and scalability problems in an exascale cloud computing environment. Consequently, the present study proposes a parallel hardware hypervisor system that is implemented entirely in special-purpose hardware, and that virtualizes application-specific multi-chip supercomputers, to enable virtual supercomputers to share available FPGA and ASIC resources in a cloud system. In addition to the virtualization of multi-chip supercomputers, the system’s other unique features include simultaneous migration of multiple communicating hardware tasks, and on-demand increase or decrease of hardware resources allocated to a virtual supercomputer. Partitioning the flat hardware design of the proposed hypervisor system into multiple partitions and applying the chip unioning technique to its partitions, the present study introduces a cloud building block chip that can be used to create FPGA or ASIC clouds as well. Single-chip and multi-chip verification studies have been done to verify the functional correctness of the hypervisor system, which consumes only a fraction of (10%) hardware resources.

To construct the tissue engineering urethral material that is closest to the normal urethral structure in the true sense in vitro. Abdominal ADSC from a 2-month-old New Zealand white rabbit was extracted and directly compounded with non-woven polyglycolic acid (PGA) (control group) to induce the differentiation of myoblasts and epithelial-like cells in vitro and shaped into urethral structure lumen Observation group); After Gd chelating protein nano-labeling and VEGF-loaded sustained release, the rabbit model of a long urethral defect was replanted and cultured for 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks, respectively. There was no difference in urinary tract patency rate, urinary tract infection, and renal dysfunction rate between the two groups (P > 0.05). The urine flow rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the residual volume decreased (P < 0.05). The blood vessel density and CD31 percentage in the observation group increased (P < 0.05). Compared with the conventional ADSC directly in contact with the composite material to construct the urethra, in vitro induction of ADSC to myoblasts and epithelial-like cells respectively, and then use the cell membrane technology to build a tissue engineering urethral material that is closest to the normal urethral structure in the true sense, and loaded with VEGF Loop release technology can significantly improve urodynamic functions, optimize tissue engineering urethral structure and vascularization, and is expected to become a new technology for constructing new tissue engineering urethral materials.

As a characteristic of current directions of social progress, authority-opposing trends of modernism and post-modernism find significant support in new technology via less falsifiable decentralization based on crypto-currencies, blockchain, social media, search engines, and other products of the internet era. The scalability of classic athenian democracy to large societies is not yet accomplished by technology. Against the early modernity tendency to cheaply give the masses an almost effortless sense of participation (features associated with kitsch), the system of representative democracy promises to become more genuine through opportunities for electronic civic involvement.

As India is still a developing country, it has a lot of rural areas wherein the living conditions and standards are below world standards and may even be on the underdeveloped scale of living standards. In order to achieve development in these regions the first and foremost step to initiate is to improve the agriculture standards and methodologies and bring in new technology to improve the methods used in agriculture which is the major source of income to these people. This project is a four staged project which intends on improving the agriculture standards of India. The first stage of the project is an automated humidity and moisture control for the soil, this will help the farmers in automating certain aspects and hence eliminate certain human errors and improve yield. The second stage of the project is an agriculture auction portal wherein the farmers can directly auction their products to the wholesaler without the need of a middle man/broker. The third stage of the project is an android app which conducts various surveys and suggests a new farmer the type of farming/seeds to be planted / soil information and other such relevant data in respect to agriculture which would help increase the yield for a new farmer. The last part of the project is a seed cum financial bank which helps the farmers by providing financial as well as seed aid in times of financial crisis.

Regenerative Medicine and Surgery is a rapidly expanding branch of translational research in tissue engineering, cellular and molecular biology. To date, the methods to improve cell intake, survival and isolation need to comply with a complex and still unclear regulatory frame, becoming everyday more restrictive and often limiting effectiveness and outcome of the therapeutic choices. Thus, the author developed a novel regenerative strategy, based on the synergic action of several bio-active components, called the Bio-Active Composite Therapies (BACTs) to improve grafted cells intake and survival in total compliance with the legal and ethical limits of the current regulatory frame. The rationale at the origin of this new technology is based on the evidence that cells need supportive substrate to survive in vitro and this observation, applying the concept of translational medicine, is true also in vivo. Many different sources have been used in the past for MSCs, molecules and growth factors (GF) isolation and extraction, but the Adipose Tissue and its Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) definitely remains the most valuable, abundant, safe and reliable. Bio-Active Composite Mixtures (BACMs) are tailor-made injectable “cocktails” containing several bio-active components to support cells survival and induce a strong regenerative response in vivo by stimulating the recipient site to act as an in-situ real Bioreactor. In this article, the author analyze the main causes of cell’s death and the strategies for preventing it, and outline all the technical steps for preparing the main components of BACMs and the different mixing modalities to obtain the most efficient regenerative action on different clinical and pathological conditions in several surgical specialties. Orthopedic Surgery is definitely the one that most can benefit of these new therapeutic strategies. The final part of this work is anticipating the logical and sequential evolution toward other fundamental technical steps for further supporting and enhancing the most efficient regenerative activity.

The CRISPR gene-editing (GE) breeding method is used to increase the resilience of high-yielding tomato cultivars against pests and diseases, reducing crop protection requirements. This study investigated consumers’ willingness to buy CRISPR GE tomatoes in a repeated discrete-choice experiment. We observed a strong positive effect of providing information on the CRISPR breeding technology, while the sensory experience of the CRISPR GE tomatoes in a visit to a greenhouse had a rather weak, predominantly negative effect on the participants’ willingness to buy CRISPR GE tomatoes. We found that roughly half of the 32 participants demonstrated constant CRISPR GE tomato choices during the experiments, and these participants were mainly employed as scientists. However, the rest of the participants changed their CRISPR GE tomato choices, with the majority showing an increase in their willingness to buy CRISPR GE tomatoes; these “changers” were dominated by non-scientists. Science communication on CRISPR GE breeding technology should target people with little knowledge about the technology, and consumers of organic tomatoes seem to have more specified, stable preferences regarding the technology. Further, scientific information about the CRISPR GE methodology should preferentially be provided when new technology and information about it are not yet widespread and people have not yet formed a strong opinion about the technology.
